YES, please share “affordable” makeup too! If it’s an Asian beauty product, I’ll usually save it to my YesStyle or Stylevana wishlists and then order once I qualify for free shipping. New subscriber and binging your videos, btw. ❤
I don't know why Revlon in general is not talked about! Their Super Lustrous lipsticks are the highest standard for formula and color. Their blushes are finely milled, the cream eyeshadows can go "eye to eye" with Charlotte Tilbury and other luxury brands. You can't go wrong with most of their offerings. No, I don't work for Revlon. ;-)
You hit the nail on the head there about the Missha bb cream!!! That’s exactly how I feel about wearing it too! At first I was nervous about wearing it because I have acne prone skin, but surprisingly, if I make sure to take it off properly at the end of the day, i feel like my skin has actually gotten smoother since using it?? It’s wild, I love it !!! 🥰🥰
Exactly, BB and CC were developed for protecting and healing skin. Started in Germany, and Koreans took it to the next level. I use it when my skin is in "trouble" for almost 30 years now.
That Missha BB cream is truly amazing and as an olive undertone pale girl i can confirm that it looks lovely. Super easy to apply, good coverage and very skin like ❤ if it gets to target im gonna lose it 😂
Luv your channel & suggestions. Makeup is such a personal thing especially @ 71 years old. My skin texture has changed so much. Huge fan of Korean skin care, rice milks & only use Korean sunscreen, they are the very best. The BB cream you mentioned is fabulous & have been using it now for couple yrs. L’Oréal bronzer I returned, to much fall out :( Regular foundations just not working out so well even with lots of skin prep. Difficult age to look good, but will do my best moving forward & trying different products 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love this video…thank you for sharing so many high quality affordable products. Revlon Illuminance beat out many high end foundations and 2 years later remains an absolute favorite. Perfect for dry mature skin. ❤
Some of my favorites…Nyx serum concealer is incredible, Revlon cream eyeshadows (especially matte versions), Elf Power Grip Primer and Setting Spray, Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter, Elf Camo Blushes, Elf Lip Stains.
Essence and Catrice are my fav cruelty free drugstore makeup brands! Their lip glosses are glassy and the Catrice flawless filter dupe is my holy grail. Better than CT. Elf eye shimmers are my newest fav🎉 I found your channel looking for wet looking eyeshadows and it’s still my aesthetic to this day. Everything wet and shiny fits my ethereal essence 🥲🙃
I finally bought the Missha last week. I've had the purito for a while so I didn't buy it since it seemed redundant. I LOVE the Missha. The finish is less greasy and the color match is better than the similar color from purito. My husband even complimented my skin the first day I put it on
I am so excited to hear you talking about the Bioma toner. It has been a life saver and holy grail of mine for at least two years now! I have oily very acne prone skin and it has SAVED my skin while using tret!
I really appreciated multiple aspects of how you handled this video. First, you showed the application of each item and each shade. Second, you compared the items to more expensive products if the more reasonable isn't as good. Third, your recommendations are not limited to new releases. Thank you, 🦋👩🦰
Agree! I bought it on recommendation from Teresa is Dead, and I mix it with my Nars Light Reflecting foundation because the shade match is better for me that way. Great drugstore foundation!
I have bought so many high-end mascaras, I do love the new CT mascara, but my teen daughter and I keep going back to the Lash Blast mascara for daily use. It is so good! I love the waterproof version. It looks good, it holds a curl. It’s just really good! We’ve gone through so many tubes of that
I love your videos! You have never steered me wrong Amanda. If you ever make another of these videos I would love if you could recommend some drugstore eye liners and highlights :)
Since 2017, CoverGirl Lash Blast waterproof mascara has been my most used and repurchased mascara. My choice has nothing to do with the cost. I just love the formula and brush. The non waterproof one is fine too. 🦋👩🦰
Olive pale skin here and I LOVE Missha no.13. Lasts an eternity as well. Amanda, would you want to someday do a cruelty free focused makeup video, focusing on the affordable side?
I also love, love the Missha BB cream! (I have 2 backups of this at all time). My light-medium skin tone leans slightly olive and it's very hard to find foundation products that closely match it - the Missha is absolutely perfect. My daughter has a very, very light skin tone and the lightest shade is a great match for her as well. I truly hope more people give this product a try - I think many will be so surprised at just how good it is!
@@EnvyBlu Hi there! I use No. 23 (Natural Beige). Don't be scared at what the color looks like in the tube - it literally looks very gray! But as you apply it, the color just melts into your skin and matches so well!
So the thing about the Essence Lash Princess that I have discovered after using multiple containers is that if you get an older tube (like one which was sealed and unopened, but had been on the shelf for a long time), it will flake, and might smudge as well. If the tube is fresh, there is hardly any mascara that can beat it.
I love so mNy elf products... and the new liquid bronzer/contour is absolutely fabulous. I love how easy is just blends in and is a great color....absolutely beautiful formula! 💜💜💜
The L'Oreal Panorama is amazing for anyone (like me) who has trouble with the Essence mascara. For whatever reason it tends to smudge on me but the panorama never does! Love this video, thank you 🙏🏻❤️
I’m watching your videos a lot lately. I have dry skin so your skin & makeup concerns seem similar to mine even though I’m decades older. Your tips are great and I really appreciate your drugstore makeup reviews. I agree with just about all of your recommendations and tips except for the mascaras. I have smudging issues with most mascaras but the Essence was the worst. The Revlon Illuminance is gorgeous on my aged skin but is being discontinued. Wah! Got Missha in shade 25. It’s a perfect tone and provides a solid medium coverage but I do have to add some white LA girl corrector to lighten it a bit for winter. It leans a little to the dry side on me but will be perfect for summer. As for lips, the brands only seem to be currently offering very limited colors & ones that I wouldn’t buy. Can’t wait for your next video!
Hi Amanda ❣️ I am 54 and I really really admire your knowledge and your channel I enjoy hearing your take on various issues and subjects relating to makeup and you are very relatable! As I mature 😉 my combo skin leans to dry and has become a normal status rather than super oily as was once. So you have been very helpful in renewing/re inventing my skin regime and makeup choices and I have enjoyed each and every purchase I have made since subscribing to your amazing channel❤️!! I too love the underrated REVLON ILLUMINANCE foundation amazing base!!! I also use the regular Revlon makeup normal to dry skin version and it too is awesome!!!! I am Loving the toner you use haru haru quite hard to purchase internationally 😢 as are much of the stated products I love Missha bb cream it is my holy grail for years!!!! Thank you beautiful Amanda for sharing your knowledge and I hope maybe you could share your take on makeup for us mature gals or there that would be amazing🫶🏻❣️❤️
I’m oily and the haru haru haru is my holy grail. It’s amazing! I tried the Missha but the color wasn’t as great as the Purito (I’m olive so shades are hard) and the scent was overwhelming to me. I wish it were fragrance free 😢 because it IS a nice formula and finish.
Maybelline Sky High Mascara is the best drugstore mascara ever. Even the washable version never flakes or runs if you have allergies or teary eyes and it washes off so easily.
I mostly use Asian sunscreens, but for drugstore the Hero mineral sunscreen (the orange one) is really nice. It feels like nothing on the skin. Missha BB cream looks so beautiful on my skin at first, but it just doesn’t wear well on me. The Purito bb cream isn’t as beautiful, but it wears better so I use that one.
I LOVE HaruHaru under most everything. But my favorite combination is Australian Gold (light and medium mixed) SPF 50 under the Missha (23 & 25). I’m 65 with combination skin. This combination is the ONLY one that doesn’t show any texture or flakes (post retinal) and gives beautiful cover and finish. I love NYX Wonder Stick Bronzer and Elf Camo Blush. Also LOVE Julep Shadow sticks. Absolutely beautiful, no primer, no creasing.
The Maybelline super stay ink liquid lipsticks, the matte version. Maybelline great lash curve mascara. And the cover girl smoothing pressed setting powder. Those are my top three.
Also love the Maybelline dream BB cream because the fewer steps the happier I am. And rimmel has a lip gloss line that is quite adventurous which I very much appreciate.
Thanks so much for this great roundup, Amanda! I really appreciate you specifying different skin types for particular recs. And I'm completely on the same page as you re: lip markers in 2025!
I would love to see a review of the NYX serum concealer. I have hollows as you do, and fine lines. This is by far the best concealer I've found. It works much better than the Kosas or Tower 28 on me.
The haru haru toner is one of my favourites too, but the (mary and may vegan blackbery complex) is my number 1 toner ive gone through 3 bottles. i have so many k beauty toners and i just can't put it down you definitely need to give it a try its so good for dry skin and under makeup ❤
Hi Amanda, I recommend you try the setting spray from the brand SO NATURAL (it's Korean), the mist is very fine and extends the duration of the makeup. Next time you order, ask for one, you won't regret it. A big hug from Chile 🥰
Thank you for the amazing recommendations! The loose Halo Glow powder from Elf is stunning! I will choose it over high end options all day every day. The pressed powder really disappointed me. They included some sparkle in the pressed formula 😩
Nyx micro brow pencil is a multi year holy grail. I am surprised you recommend anything from elf. I find the halo glow powder chalky and all their product tones are yellow or orange. Drugstore holy grail blush is Milani baked. Essence lash princess rocks and never smudges on me. Revlon illuminance was in multiple "best of 2024" videos.
Have you tried the Elf brow pencil? It’s great. I like it better than all the high end ones I have. And I totally agree about the Natturium lip balms. They are the best, and I’ve tried a lot. I like them better than the Rhode and Ole Henriksen. The only downside is the packaging. It’s so hard to squeeze the product out.
Misha Misha Misha rocks I get 2 shades or 3 13, 21, and 23. Can customize it which ever way it works depending on season. All 3 bottles cost $30 on Amazon as each is less than $10. And it has more than 1 oz. I will get haruharu recommendation. Thank you.
Amanda: Have you tried the REVLON SO FIERCE eyeshadow palattes (there are 6)? Baked gelee and made in Italy!! ❤ My favourite lipstick of all time is REVLON #130 Rose Velvet. I am going to try the Illuminance foundation you recommended.
Is the Revlon Colorstay crème eye shadow discontinued? I'm still seeing it on the Revlon website. I'll be sad if it's going away. Also, have you tried the About Face eye shadow stick? I've recently tried the Ambrosia color and I've been pleased with it.
I honestly think there is something wrong with my Elf Ethereal palette - all the mattes are lovely and go on smooth, but the two lightest shimmers are literally unusable.....they are so dry and crumbly and I cannot pick up any pigment from them. I probably should have returned it, but I keep thinking if I dig into them even harder, that they'll start performing better. Just curious if anyone else has had this experience? I'm sad about it, because the shades are so nice and just the neutrals I love.
Unfortunately while I liked the finish and shade of the Missha BB cream I could not stand the smell. It was way too strong and I can’t use it because of that 😢
Amanda, some of the recommended Asian/Korean products contain titanium dioxide ( in your other videos) Are there any that don’t contain this? Especially for the lips.
I’m probably in the minority, but I HATE Essence Lash Princess. I wanted to like Lash Princess, but it’s the worst mascara I’ve ever bought. It flaked so bad and just would not last. I tossed it and didn’t feel guilty because it was so cheap.
@AmandaZ I just checked the Target website and the 117 shade is out of stock 😢😢 I may try the shade lighter though- it says it’s still in stock. Maybe they’ll reformulate??

Hi, Amanda! I love the Missha bb cream too! 💞 But, it is also true that they have a bit of a tricky share range.
The L’Oréal shadow sticks are amazing!
You look sooo good with a sheer lip. You have inspired me to lighten up my makeup look. Thank you for all the wonderful recommendations.
You should do a review of CAIA makeup products, it's a swedish brand that all the girls over here are using! Especially the bronzer and dewy drops 💕
Olive pale skin here and I LOVE Missha no.13. Lasts an eternity as well.

Me too! Bought it on Amanda's recommendation but had to get rid of it due to the fragrance.
So you put milky toner on bare skin and then moisturizer and sunscreen on top? So not makeup directly after you apply the toner? ❤❤
That’s what I do, except that my sunscreen acts as moisturizer as well. The milky toner is very hydrating so I don’t need an extra layer in between.
Amanda, some of the recommended Asian/Korean products contain titanium dioxide ( in your other videos) Are there any that don’t contain this? Especially for the lips.

Is there fragrance to Loreal powder bronzer? I cant have fragrance in my makeup. I have acne prone skin.

oh yeah baby
I'm olive n can't wear the missha bc it's so gray.
does the byoma toner have a dewy finish?
Slight glow, but not super glowy. More like a “moisturizer” look
