I have been using La Mer for 20 years and I absolutely could not live without it. I live in New Mexico, which is a very dry climate and it’s perfect. I have also fallen in love with the night cream, expensive products but so worth it. You only need a little to be able to absorb it into your skin. I just turned 70 and everyone tells me that I look at least 10 years younger. I know it’s because of La Mer. I have never had any sort of surgical procedure on my face because I would rather spend the money on La Mer because the results are amazing
Funny story for why the spa water needs a warning label... I leave a lot of my skincare in the refrigerator, and one time my boyfriend was in the kitchen making cocktails (unsupervised, lol). He brings out a whiskey cola for me, I take a sip and I'm like "this tastes very coconut-y... what kind of soda did you use?" And he says, "I just added a spritz of the syrup that was in the fridge." Immediate spit take... he accidentally put setting spray in my cocktail 😂
Oh my god, that's hilarious!! 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I remember trying my friend’s LaMer about 25 years ago and I HATED it so much that I never tried it again until this past fall when I ran out of moisturizer on a trip. A woman at the midtown Nordstrom showed me how to use it and I decided to give it a shot. I just ordered my second jar and had it engraved as a gift to myself for making it through the first two weeks of this new administration.
I love high-end skin care and cosmetic products, but I am limited by my fixed income. Loved your comment about surviving the 1st 2 weeks of the new administration. By the end of 4 years, I'll have to invest seriously in anti-aging PRODUCTS! 😩
@@lisaoatts8246Same here ladies! ☹️😩😢 These past couple weeks have been torture! I’m not sure that I can handle 4 years of this nonsense! 😩 I still don’t understand how it is legal for a convicted felon to run for, and be elected to the highest office in the country. It’s truly disgusting and shameful for our country! 😢
Always someone has to bring in politics when totally irrelevant to content. Bitw LOVE LOVE LOVE the new administration as do most Americans that VOTED for it…
@@totallyrandom1126Ditto! ❤
If it's that expensive and only lasts 3 months. Nope never not buying it.
I wish that La Mer would try releasing an unscented version so that I could try it. It definitely is intriguing how much you and a lot of other people like it!
The scent isn't very strong and it does disappear very quickly.
You can pick up a sample from them at the counter
@@ClassicLitLove-kx9tt Yeah, it's not that I object to the smell, it is that my skin does not tolerate synthetic fragrance regardless of the type or how "safe" it is supposed to be. But thanks for the info!
💗💗💗
The Sisley Velvet sleeping mask is one of my most purchased per your recommendation years ago! Can’t be without it. The cream is gorgeous too. Also the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm is absolutely irreplaceable for me. I couldn’t begin to count how many I’ve purchased.
Not surprised to see those products after watching your channel for long time. I started using the Sisley Velvet mask because of your recommendation and repurchased it so many times. So good❤
Thanks Yoko! That mask is really magical!
I love that you are truthful about what you use. Meaning YOU ACTUALLY use them. Love your skin ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Louise!!
Great video, thank you! And, you look fabulous, your skin is looking amazing.
La Mer is definitely my most repurchased as well. I’ve been using it for probably 15 years now off and on and can confirm that my skin is significantly improved when I’m using it. Even if it’s just one use I notice a difference. It is important to use it properly as you’ve described. And yes, I’ve tried to replace it with the European Nivea and no, it’s not just as good. The la mer lip balm is also one I’ve purchased countless times. It’s expensive, but one pot will last me a year as it’s so conditioning I can only use it once a day otherwise my lip line breaks out. I notice a difference when I haven’t used it that day.
Thank you for sharing your experience! 🩷
Your skin looks terrific as does the crisp white shirt. Have you received the clothes you purchased during your shop in NY? I’ve been looking forward to seeing the new additions to your wardrobe. You really do look wonderful, glowing and happy in this post. Nice to see. M xx
You look absolutely fantastic! Not sure if it is really skincare or the workout regimen or both, but it is definitely showing great results. You are my inspiration! ❤
The Sisley product I can’t do without is the The Supremya Night Anti-age Lotion. I purchased at 20 % off Friends Sale. The bottle will last a full year. It brightens and gives me more evenly toned skin. I am 75.
I've heard such wonderful things about that one! Thank you!
Another fabulous video. I have been searching for a new cleansing balm so, YAY, you gave me one. Will be trying the retrouve.
Glad I could help! I'm so excited for you to try it.
@@TheMicheleWangme too. Purchasing direct from Retrouve.
Hey Michele, I went in through your link. I hope you get credit for this. Thanks again!
I have really dry skin and have repurchased Tatcha dewy skin cream and Biossance squalane & omega cream both several times. I’m really interested to try the new Biossance firm & lift dual serum.
I've heard great things about that new serum!
This was so helpful. Pls do more skincare routine videos. They are well-loved! Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Enjoy your skincare videos…your skin is luminous! Also I love the way you say Dr Barbara Sturm😂
I have lost faith in skincare the only thing I trust is exfoliates and spf. I also have dry skin and I only see a difference when I use the two products. I need something that deeply moisturizes and makes my skin plump all day long
Hi Michele. Thank you so much for sharing your most purchased. Curious if you add any oil to your creams. I also live in a dry climate (southern Cali) and have gotten in the habit of adding a drop of oil to my cream and enjoy that extra step. I must add that I'm older than you and started adding the oil couple of years ago. Thanks.
I just wanted to thank you for the Rodial low lighter rec!!! It’s such a game changer ! 🙏🙏❤❤
Woohoo!!! So happy to hear it worked out for you! 🩷🩷🩷
Your skin looks amazing! I’ve wanted to love La Mer so much, tried twice, and both times my skin is FIRE!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that 😓
So helpful thank you Michele!! ❤
Love La Mer, have tried many others and always end up going back to it.
Great video. It is good to know what you like and continue to use. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Thanks, I hope you have a great week too!
I never believed in La Mer until I tried it. I have oily skin and my skin gets very dry due to the Tretinoin cream I use, and I bought the original moisturizing cream and it was life changing! It heals irritated skin instantly. And it is fragranced which I found odd that it does that. Lovvvve it, thanks Michele for the recommendation.
It's amazing, right?! I'm so glad you found something that works.
Hi dear Michele, thanks for this list, and very good video for us!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩That Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum, it's expensive but soooo good, so soft!!! Here? 54 years, dry sensitive skin, using Chantecaille and Barbara Sturm, always purchase it when there is a price reduction/action, but love these brands so much!!! Chantecaille most used skincare brand followed by Barbara Sturm.❤
I really like the Sisley masks, Chantecaille gold series, La Mer soft cream and Augustine Bader rich cream. I know lot of people have negative comments about La Mer and AG but what works for one person might not work for another. I don’t use only expensive skincare I use some of the Good Molecules serums, toner, Caudalie toner & serum. I like to rotate my products every now & then. Thank you for sharing your repurchased skincare. Your skin is beautiful! 😊❤️
I started using La Mer when I worked for them in the early 2000s. Most who found it too rich never took the ‘emulsify until translucent’ step seriously. There were a number of years when I used La Prairie Platinum or various organic brands, but two years ago I went back to the original Crème de La Mer and I could kick myself for trying anything else. I use it in the morning and a 2 oz. lasts about a year.
Hi Michele You didnt mention the new medik 8 retinol you are trying to I bought it Let me know what you think❤
Because I haven’t repurchased it myself. It’s a great retinol serum 👍🏻
@ thanks. So far I think its great. Im only in the number one because I gave sensitive skin. After I finish thus tube ill get the 3. Have you moved on to the 3 yet?
@@DeborahRoncarati-i4eplease try the Medik8 r-retinoate range it is double the cost but acts as a moisturiser as well combining the benefits. I suggest you go up the ladder first & then try this but u moved up the ladder fairly quickly 😊. Honestly it's a lot more effective than the regular retinoate.
Hey Michele 💜💜💖 I love that shirt. I love a good crisp white shirt.
Thank you!! I love a good crisp white shirt too!
I love that shirt too, very much! Michele, is it possible to know the brand? Thank you a lot in advance! 💓
Hi Michele! Could you share a link to the white shirt in your video, please? From what I can see, I love the structure. I didn’t see it in your description. Thanks!
Hi Michele, could you please tell me how you put on the Sisley lotion?
Do you use a cotton pad or just your fingers?
I just use my fingers. It’s not thin enough for a pad.
Love the selection and your skin looks stunning. I mix things up but always use the Koh Gen Do cleansing water and Prada's cleanser which makes my skin glow (and is another of those you just need the tiniest bit). I like Dieux' eye cream and reusable eye pads a lot. Every weekend i use Chantecaille Hibiscus exfoliating mask usually followed by Kerstin Florian Algae Gel Moisturizing mask and every single day no matter what I use Kerstin Florian Correcting Multivitamin Day Creme with 30 SPF. I've been playing with some Allies of Skin serums and Slurp products but not convinced yet. Oh and hands get Chantecaille Retinol hand lotion -- fades age spots and minimizes wrinkles and at my age. 73 -- this matters.
Great video, thank you. But what about La Mer "the treatment" lotion? You got me hooked on it & the mask. I use it before my La Prairie white caviar cream. I'm 80 & my dermatologist says I have the skin of a 60 year old.
I LOVE the La Mer Treatment Lotion and Masks, but I haven't repurchased them as much as the products I mention in this video. They are a bit "newer" to my routine than a lot of these products.
I love it too, I got a small sample when I purchased the resurfacing lotion & I was so surprised to notice benefits after one use 😊
I liked the LaMer but although I do have dry skin, I guess it's not as dry as I thought? LOL. I haven't felt the need to repurchase LaMer. But I have repurchased lots of Tatcha products over and over again over the years, especially the essence, the dewy skin cream and the oil cleanser.
Tatcha is so wonderful!
I have a dear friend who works for Dr. Sturm 's line. He raves about her products. I'll have to visit him at Blue Mercury and see what all the fuss is about. I'm sure he'd give me samples.
Do you use the Koh Gen Do for eye makeup remover? I can't find anything non irritating enough to take mascara off.
Thanks for sharing your favorite skin products! Enjoy your Sunday. 💖💖
I do re: KGD!
And def get some samples to try. I think you’ll like it!
Thank you! 🥰@@TheMicheleWang
Hi Michelle I absolutely love the La Mer resurfacing 'toner' if you've never tried that it's a must in my skin care routine. I switched to Algenist & have really noticed the difference of not using it. I also love Medik8, Kate Somerville & the Elemis rose plumping day cream. I fear I've started a little too late now I've just hit 40 but in saying that I got ID'd for a can of redbull (you have to be 16 to buy it in the UK) in my local store the other day lol - needless to say I was over the moon; she really was surprised saying it's challenge 25 & I only look around that age. Well I guess judge for yourself by my picture lol! ❤😊. Ps if you haven't tried the Medik8 r-retinoate series I highly recommend it, honestly it has all the benefits of a retinoate as well as being very moisturising; costly but it's cut my skin care night time routine in half which considering I'm pretty lazy is a must haha. We can't get tretinoin in the UK here that easily as it's requires a GP referral to a dermatologist & that's only if you have quite moderate to severe skin concerns so this is about the strongest we can get; at least I think so. It's really made me pause about getting more Botox or at least not getting it as often (only had it done once so far) as the results are amazing 😻. The only negative I have is that it comes in a firm container so you can't get all the product out which is pretty wasteful for the £229 price tag.
If you can sweat La Mer the cream off, I don't understand why it is so effective? And what about if you live in a humid climate or live where monsoon season You can't use la mer the cream if you live in those climats... I'm confused. is? Skincare should go into your skin, not sit on top, right? Somebody, please let me know.
Could you pretty please make the same video for hair products?
Hello Michelle😊👋
La Mer and Koh Gen Do Cleansing Water have been staples for me for years, there is no substitute for the original La Mer cream IMO.
Try La Prairie White caviar cream-even better than La Mer used to be
💗💗💗
Love those skin care videos. Big fan of augustinas bader and happy to see what u use
Glad you like them!
The quick absorbency of Dr Barb’s face moisturizer is something I’ve never experienced with any other brand. Expensive but worth it.
On the matter of cost in general, yes many balk at luxury brands. But do people really think that women would shell out big bucks for poor/no results? Year after year, decade after decade? La Mer for instance has been around for 60 years. If it didn’t really deliver it would have disappeared a long time ago. Women are demanding, savvy consumers. For ourselves and our families. We know what works. Full stop.
Agreed!
And im starting to really explore Dr. Barb’s line so thank you for that insight. ❤️❤️❤️
Your skin is amazing. 🫶🏻
Thank you!!
LA MER IS GREAT
good morning!
your skin is beautiful!
Thank you so much! 🙏
I looove La mer! It’s too bad that they discontinued their lotions🥲🥲they were such a great compliment to the cremes.
It had to be medik8 peptides i guess 🫢
