This is the first edition in the 2100 Series Side Quest. The 2100 is G-Shock's best selling watch type. What's is its popularity all about? That's what we're going to find out. But as far as the durability goes, my favorite is the Mudman.

Came across your channel while I was doing some looking around at watches. Decided to start wearing a watch again for the gym and just daily life for the first time in like 20 years. Jim, i bought the 2100 glow as a result of your previous vid, it's highly readable - just wish it had the positive LCD like your gem.
The LCD is really crisp. I’m glad it’s positive.
I have the regular model, black dial with white hands and markers, great legibility except for the digital display which is negative and very small and hard to read. So it's not my favorite watch. I was looking to the metal version with this kind of strap and adapters. I don't know if this kind of strap is practical in the oilfield or any kind of dirty work. But it's nice to see that it's a good fit for you. I think this one will work just fine without Bluetooth. Looking forward to your testing. 😁😁

I haven't checked specifically but you normally press the light button and the bottom left button to move the hands out of the way.
Got it! I was trying that in the video but couldn’t get it to work.
I keep my Casioak in a burlap sack but not this one from Casio, just one that I got with a Christmas gift. I did it without realising they actually provide these in the packaging for some models. The thing about G-shocks is that storage can be tricky, so I understand why you throw them all into one bag!
You can swing the sac like a weapon if need be.

With your love of the GW-9500, I assumed you liked digital time format! Any interest in the GWG-2000 Mudmaster?
I ordered the 9500 on your recommendation and it came in today. I also picked up the 2000 and it is very nice.

9500 is really amazing. The user interface is very nice and easy to use. I also find it has great Multi Band reception, even on my night stand. It has been a great watch for me.
Hii, Is this strap available anywhere separately. I would like to replace this strap for my G shock 2100
You can get a strap adapter on Amazon and a regular band to achieve this look. But as far as I know Casio does not sell the band separately. I’m going to make a video about this coming up.

That modern ''save the world'' recyclable cardboard boxes from Casio is very fancy I see......including the ''potato bag'' for the watch....I don't care how they call it, but I call it a cheapening, nothing else. I got ''unregular'' GA-B2100 (Banana....only because I like the colour....definitely I wouldn't bring it at the mountain) and I must say that the watch feels very cheap even though a price tag doesn't agree with that....if that's almost 200 USD watch, then my War Machine is a million USD watch. Even my 30 years old Marlin feels better than any modern GA2100.
Some of the G shocks needs an adapters, some of them don't...I didn't put an adapter at the biggest G shock ever made (GPR-B1000) because that thing as a package is good without an adapter, plus it would lose some of the structural rigidity without the carbon fiber band, that's a protection.
That strap at your GA2100 is okay Jim, but believe me, a first meeting with the oil at the oil field and you can say goodbye to it, that ''distinctive texture and colour'' will disappear forever.....
I don't like that 5 minutes markers at that 2100 not being lumed, painted and not visible from the Moon (it's different at the Banana, that's why I like it somehow), and especially I don't like that little digital screen, I need a microscope in order to see anything....a lack of the real second hand is disgusting, that's a real cheapening.

I don't believe to the ''carbon core guard'' fairytales...there's no way that a piece of plastic can be durable as for example my very steel DW5200C inner case, or GW5000U inner case...simply no way.
WTF grating of the F-ing cheese has to do with a being a ''real man''????? I'm buying a grated cheese cause I'm too lazy to grate it by myself.
I would find some nice FKM rubber band... it will stink like hell after the meeting with the oil but it will survive very probably.

Been following your channel for a while and I thought maybe you would want to see this. I noticed you criticized your rangeman's band attachment. its not the only g shock with that band attachment and while I prefer steel lugs, I thought it interesting that you never criticized the mudman gw9500 in the same manner
