@clickybezel Thank you for the video. I only started my watch journey and this is my 3rd watch - sort of like a workhorse for rough use complementing my CFB Manero and Grand Seiko GMT. Despite being at the budget end (by far) of my collection, I absolutely love the versatility and the look of it. I am looking forward to getting some different straps for this and your video was extremely helpful in throwing up ideas. Thanks again.
This was the 1st watch that i genuinely fell in love with. Was not really a watch guy before seeing it and it changed my mind. Its perfect in my opinion.
Dude! This is the must-watch video for any YT content creator out there. I'm not an Alpinist fan, but this video is so well made I watched the entire video (not that it's overly long, given the work that must have gone into pre-production). Bravo!
Thanks so much! This comment means a lot to me! Only a fraction of viewers, such as yourself, understand the work it takes to produce a video. Cheers! 🍻
thank you, I loved your video and I'm about to buy the black tooth shark tooth but I really wanted the Ghost edition.... I didn't like the green Alpinist, until I saw your watch on that green nato strap!!! LOVE IT
Subbed in the first 13 seconds or so Reason 1: Starts with answering the titles questions right off the bat Reason 2: Short answers Reason 3: Gives me the option of staying around for an indepth answer. Reason 3 is something a lot of people on this space deny their viewers
Oddly this is a very versatile watch that does a great job dressing up on a leather strap. It also has a ton of character with the green and gold aesthetics. The case design of the Alpinist is full of curves and sits beautifully on the wrist. The prospex logo on the redesigned models ruin the charm and the original is definitely the version to get if you can hunt one down.
I saw he mentioned CNS bands in another comment. Looks like on CNS watch bands website it’s probably “Ribbed strap Racing Green” in 20mm. Not sure, but that might be a starting place to look
I had my eyes on the watch from last 6-7 months. On my birthday last month I bought the new iPhone 15 as I faced battery issues with older iPhone. So I decided not to buy the alpinist. I watched your video 30 mins back, and I’m writing this after ordering the alpinist. thanks haha.. 🙌
You’re right on oall five counts. Plus, you’re funny- I loved the bit about replacing the strap with…..Anything Else! It was not unnoticed that you avoided mentioning the 6R35 movement. Apparently it can’t be regulated and stay there.
I bought this watch about 8 years ago, thinking that it would end up being a classic. I'm so happy that I did because I paid $300 for it, it's hard to find now, and it's never leaving my collection!
I love the looks of my Alpinist but it only keeps accurate time on the winder. Anytime I wear it on my wrist it looses at least 10 minutes in 4 to 5 hours. I do love the cyclopes though.
I oddly enough have been wearing a $60 FOSSIL with the exact stainless/green face and gold time marks. Its beat to crap and Ive worn it the last 3 years with no issue treating it like a disposable item. Amongst my nicest and most expensive watches I still wear it the most, because the colors are fantastic together and its actually incredible when the sun hits right. I used to think of it as a POS, but its long become one of my best pals and it sees everything I do. However, this Seiko would look stellar next to all my other ones! That cheap watch brought out something in me for green and its here to stay. This is one sexy chunk of metal no doubt.
love the look, love the style, and was willing to save up for months to get this until I found the Citizen BM8180-03E. A watch 7 times cheaper, better time keeping, and other than the Sapphire crystal case that the Seiko has, I guarantee that it has the potential to outlive it's massively more expensive competitor. Does it look better? Probably, but I'm not willing to pay that much more money for looks alone.
Ngl, I''ve alwaus thought this watch was ugly mostly due to the dial. However, I do have to say that green nato strap in your video really softens my heart a bit.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
Love the alpinist! Perfect size and aesthetics for my tastes. I just can’t love giant diving watches. Now to prove I’m an outsider, I just bought a prospex alpinist black series night. 😊
I know all 5 reasons within 13 seconds - a new record! Sub'ed and subscribed! Mostly due to that and pairing that color dial with that shade of green on that strap! What would you pair with the blue Alpinist?
I love my 017… But it did take a while… Once I put it on a jubilee strap code bracelet with fitted end links it became my favorite… But it is 39 mm and I think it wears like a 40 mm… it’s definitely a marmite watch and you either love it or hate it
I own this watch and really like it. Not so keen on the compass complication as it serves zero purpose - you can use the same method on any other watch without the need for a compass! Currently looking for a strap to go with it so would appreciate recommendations. Cheers.
It’s not how the brown strap *looks* that’s the problem. I’ve had one for about 2 years and the brown leather strap has never felt like it really broke in or fits perfectly on my wrist. I can confirm the strap looks nice, but it is in fact trash. I wish I had bought it on a bracelet, but now I’m thinking of getting a green strap like he has here, except he’s not telling anyone where he go that green strap from…
I'm going to sit here and watch your whole video just in appreciation for your defying the cliché RUclips convention and laying out your structure up front.
I think it should be the Seiko Alpinist GMT. ;). Though I love Seiko and I do collect them, If I had to have one watch, it would be the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic.
Read my article on Fashion Beans: www.fashionbeans.com/article/seiko-alpinist-review/
Hope you all enjoy it!

And here that and the rolex hulk....guess i have an affinity for green LOL
Me too, it's my first automatic watch! 🤤
Well said! The limited blue alpinist was my first automatic watch and what got me into this hobby

What strap is that? Looks great and want to get for my alpinist
I’m still wearing from my collection a blue face seiko diver my dad bought me in 1970, still runs flawlessly. One of my favorite
What's the name/brand of the strap you have in the video? Would love to get it myself
What's the name/brand of the hat you have in the video? Would love to get it myself
In another comment he mentioned CNS Bands vintage NATO
What is the name of the jacket looks cool
These type of watches r evergreen...now I m in love with these watches ❤❤❤
this is my first watch as well, existence of this watch just make me happy
I absolutely love this watch. Thanks for another great video!
One of Seiko’s greats. Thanks for stopping by ✌️
What strap is being used in the video? Looks amazing on the Alpinist
I just recieved this watch today. Totally in love with this❤️
Hello, really like the green nato strap you have on there. Where can I find it online?
Did you figure out what strap it is? It looks like a Zulu nato strap. At least that’s what comes up when you type vintage green nato strap.
He mentioned in another comment CNS Bands vintage NATO.
The SPB197J1 (blue dial) is my only watch. Absolutely love it.
You'll probably never see this, but no chance you have a link or can say where you got that green nato strap? Just ordered my alpanist last night
where can i find this strap :)
You can find it in Indonesia easily. OK !
Prospex Seiko Prospex SPB251J1 is it any similar to the one on the video?
Absolutely killer on that strap
thank you, I loved your video and I'm about to buy the black tooth shark tooth but I really wanted the Ghost edition....
I didn't like the green Alpinist, until I saw your watch on that green nato strap!!! LOVE IT
@clickybezel great video. Where did you get the green nato strap? Love the combination.
Respect for condensed version!
That strap totally changed my view about this watch, it looks gorgeous. Thanks.
Just got one and i absolutely love it!!

Could you share the link for the strap you have used here? It looks amazing
Still no link? Interesting

@@JulienDolan thank you so much hahaha
LOVE THOSE GREEN DIALS!!!
Happy man. Bought SARB017 and SARB033 when they were available. Still in my collection.
whats that green nato strap?
I had my eyes on the watch from last 6-7 months. On my birthday last month I bought the new iPhone 15 as I faced battery issues with older iPhone. So I decided not to buy the alpinist. I watched your video 30 mins back, and I’m writing this after ordering the alpinist. thanks haha.. 🙌
Beautiful watch
Fire video man ! Do you have the link to the strap ?
I have an Alpinist Sharktooth and I absolutely love it. It has perfect size.
Killer piece! Thanks for watching :)
I just got mines today and fell in love with it.
You’re right on oall five counts. Plus, you’re funny- I loved the bit about replacing the strap with…..Anything Else! It was not unnoticed that you avoided mentioning the 6R35 movement. Apparently it can’t be regulated and stay there.
Goodness, so much reflection from that crystal.
I love the handset❤
The Seiko watch has got to be one of my favorite brands of watches out there. I particularly love the Alpinist !!!! ❤️💯❤️💯🙃
Proper gorgeous.
Hello, where do I find the stock crocodile green strap for sale?
What brand of nato strap is that in the intro?
I have the black dial shark tooth...... I love it!!!😊
Got the black "sharktooth" version of the SPB117! ❤
Although am a bit torn between it and this green-gold combo.
Especially with that dark green nato! Where is it from?
CNS Bands!
Got the shark tooth as well. Would gladly sell it. I think $750 is massively overpriced for what you get out of it
I also have this model, but the green dial really calls out to me.
I love this with both a green and white dial:)
where can I get that vintage green nato strap?
What watch is that at 1:43?
Always a pleasure when you have a new video
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
I bought this watch about 8 years ago, thinking that it would end up being a classic. I'm so happy that I did because I paid $300 for it, it's hard to find now, and it's never leaving my collection!
Could you please share the link to the green strip? I can’t find this shade of green online. Most of them are army green. Thanks!
A very beautiful watch
This watch looks dope. Classic color combo
Reminds of a nice car that’s still analog and raw but clean
I also would like Grand Seiko to come up with its own distinctive take on a field watch.
Agreed! If they can pull it off well in comparison to their divers, they'll have my money haha. Thanks for watching!
Hey! Great video and awesome watch.
Which green nato is that?
Hi! It’s CNS Bands vintage NATO. Thanks for watching!
Have the newer SPb211 and it’s absolutely wonderful! Regulated myself to COSC level accuracy!
Love this! Was going to buy it for my birthday…am a bit worried about the size though. Is it huge?
Wow, the Alpinist with the, I think nato strap, is unique, it gives the watch that uniqueness everyone is searching on a watch
I love the looks of my Alpinist but it only keeps accurate time on the winder. Anytime I wear it on my wrist it looses at least 10 minutes in 4 to 5 hours. I do love the cyclopes though.
@ClickyBezel What’s the watch at 1:44? The one with the cream dial and blue numbers.
I bought one eight years ago and love it! Doesn’t keep time great, losing a few minutes a day but that’s ok.
Link of the hydroflex strap please? nice review sir!
I've had this watch for 11 years now, very solid daily watch, swaped the leather starp with a two tone 316l jubilee, got plenty of complements..
Love from india , great work brother , best of luck 👍🏻
Prolly the only model in the current lineup i would buy.
@ClickyBezel what is this first grey dial watch shown at 2:42 with the numbered 12 and 6 on the dial?
Seiko Tic-Tac
I got the black dial, beautiful piece but wish i went with the green.
Nice looking watch
Love the alpinist! Perfect size and aesthetics for my tastes. I just can’t love giant diving watches. Now to prove I’m an outsider, I just bought a prospex alpinist black series night. 😊
Fine vid. I put mine on an Oyster and it’s like a new piece. Bought mine in 2015/2016 on Amazon….$379.00 USD. Thanks!
What about the reflectiveness of the glass?
I like the strap you have on yours. Where did you get it?
I know all 5 reasons within 13 seconds - a new record! Sub'ed and subscribed!
Mostly due to that and pairing that color dial with that shade of green on that strap! What would you pair with the blue Alpinist?
Have both models. Loved 🥰 and enjoyed.
When in doubt, get both haha. I love it. Thanks for sharing!
I love my 017… But it did take a while… Once I put it on a jubilee strap code bracelet with fitted end links it became my favorite… But it is 39 mm and I think it wears like a 40 mm… it’s definitely a marmite watch and you either love it or hate it
Great video format. Also, where'd you get that ribbed NATO, looks awesome
Glad you liked it! CNS Bands!
It's not 38mm in diameter but 39mm
it's 39.5
I own this watch and really like it. Not so keen on the compass complication as it serves zero purpose - you can use the same method on any other watch without the need for a compass! Currently looking for a strap to go with it so would appreciate recommendations. Cheers.
What is the NATO strap in this video? Can you post a link please :)
@clickybezel what is the green strap from the video?
Vintage Nato from CNS Bands!
..... But great video! Thanks.
Please link the NATO strap.
I wanted the Artem watch strap and talk about sticker shock.
I have one that's in storage after a move. Must get it out. Great video.
A watch that definitely deserves some wrist time. Thanks for watching!
Have to disagree with you on this. The brown strap looks equally nice on the Alpinist...not trash as what many people say it is. I love it.
It’s not how the brown strap *looks* that’s the problem. I’ve had one for about 2 years and the brown leather strap has never felt like it really broke in or fits perfectly on my wrist. Beautiful ❤
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Which watch is in the picture at 01:43 ?
How can I buy one with both straps cloth and leather, green please? Sent to Greece?
The true call on any watch is does it start a conversation, are people noticing your watch, and then begins the conversation, SPB121 is that watch😎
Hi, what strap did you match with the Alpinist, and is this particular variation of the watch no longer made?
My first SARB in the series and it’s a keeper.
This is the way
I'm going to sit here and watch your whole video just in appreciation for your defying the cliché RUclips convention and laying out your structure up front.
Nice looking watch.
I agree, one of Seiko's best! Thanks for watching!
I think it should be the Seiko Alpinist GMT. ;). Though I love Seiko and I do collect them, If I had to have one watch, it would be the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic.
Is this the army green nato strap or rich green one? Thanks
I own a SARB-017, Paid a bit more than $400 (US). Lucky I guess. I agree with evey one of your points ... It's a Great Watch !
What is the exact band you have on it? Looks amazing with that band.
Really beautifull
