- Custom Workshop DIY Tools Skills Solo Building Alone Homestead Farm Farmer Man Cave Canadian Wilderness self built. I needed a small space of my own so I built this little workshop by myself. I also have an 8 episode series on the build if you're interested. It's just for entertainment so enjoy. I love building things and learn new techniques every build. #workshop #custombuild #homestead

We're transforming this 90 acre property into a self reliant homestead and farm stay vacation rental. We're building infrastructure to accomodate future growth such as barns, duck house, 7 coop chicken house, water hydrants, planting an orchard, building a garden etc. Chickens, ducks, geese, mini pigs, rabbits, a bunch of barn cats and two old english sheepdogs make up our team here at the farm. Please follow along on our journey of transforming this place into something special. - Хобби
Thank you for taking the time to document this process. It's so cool to see the workshop take shape. I have a question, would you consider making a Patreon so those of us who want to help you with a little something for kitty extras and whatnot could do so? I don't think you'd need to do any perks or anything. Me for one, I'd love to just donate a small amount monthly and help out the farm! Anyone else agree ? 😊
I appreciate that, I really do. Honestly I have so much to learn about that part of RUclips. Don’t even know how patreon works. People have been asking for merch too, still trying to figure that out. I need to get a P.O. Box cause people wanna send stuff too. It all makes me feel good that I’m on the right track to a successful channel, I figure all this out soon. Thank u so much ☺️
@@HiddenSpringFarm Hi there. *Tip - I'm not sure how deliveries are in Canada, but in the U.S. (Los Angeles area), some delivery companies won't deliver to a "P.O. Box". For my business, we set up a "Mailbox" at a UPS store and we have an actual address with a mailbox# listed. All packages are accepted and signed by an employee there. This seems to have resolved the P.O. Box issue. Best of luck👍
@@FelineFina Those services cost 3 or 4 times what a PO Box cost
@@aerialrescuesolutions3277 We pay $19.99/month. UPS, Fed Ex, etc... will not deliver to a P.O. box 🤷🏻♀️ Not sure about Amazon. Gotta get packages, so went this route.
@@aerialrescuesolutions3277 We pay $19.99 a month. UPS, FedEx, etc... cannot deliver to a USPS "P.O. Box." 🤷♀ We need our packages (which are delivered by various carriers), so had to go this route.
Nothing like a good cat and a couple of silly dogs to help when a heavy building job comes along.
Always envious of a guy who can do that alone from start to finish! Great job, it looks great
I am still in awe of the solo builds that you do! One has to see it to believe it! This is still my favourite channel I watch and look forward to each and every upload you do. Hope this morning finds everyone happy and healthy❣️😊
Ur the best ❤️
My dad used to do this all the time. I wish I had 1/4 the skills he had.
@@guyh.4553 I miss my Dad, because he used to build and fix everything for our house: add ons, roofing, siding, cement and even furniture. Memories❤
Having worn this pair of shoes, albeit a half-century ago now, you stirred a plethora of fond memories. If you enjoy at least half the pleasure I enjoyed in building - and enjoying my shop, then... my friend... you've succeeded in ways you'll never know nor understand until another half-century passes and you reflect upon when............ I have a nephew who owns a ranch in Arkansas, and my greatest pleasure in my old age, is visiting and helping him on his ranch. Only when he's reached my age will he realize how he's kept me alive by allowing me to relive my youth. Take care, be safe, and enjoy... that which you create..................
“What a Man” 😊. I just love watching you work! 🤣
I'm so glad!
Good morning Chad and everyone. Looking good.
Have a great week eh 😉
This was amazing. I never in my life seen anyone build something all by themselves. 👍👍👍👍
❤️❤️❤️
You are such a hardworking man, Chad! It’s still hard to believe you were not in the building trade, but learned your skills on-the- job with what you needed on your farm. You remind me of Proverbs 22:29
“Have you seen a man skillful at his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before common men.”
😁
Kings can also be common
❤that is the best way to learn ❤
It’s an incredible skill with neat job and doing solo too! It’s so satisfaction to watch you with the helping paws. Good job Chad! ❤❤❤
You’re so kind, thanks 🙏
That workshop is nicer than some of the homes I see, great job, look forward to seeing more of your work 👍
Just wow. I have never known someone who can do everything that you can do. Pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing this video 😊
So nice of you
Fozzy looks like a tough boss to work for. Awesome vid.
Chad The Builder! Is awesome 👍
😀
Good Morning Chad!!! Hope you have a great day! I can’t believe you have built all of these building all by yourself self! They are awesome builds!
Thanks 👍
Excellent attention to detail.
Chad the builder at his best, always! And the claw crew are never too far away, watching cat daddy doing his best! Love this vlog, you, Darling , your Billy and Bobby and their adorable piglets, the geese even naughty geese😂and all chickens and ducks. The best farm!!!👏👏👏👏❤️😻oh yes, of course, our Molly and Olive, who can ever forget those gorgeous "supervisors"!😉
Thnx a million, can’t wait for the next project.
You did an amazing job on your Shed/man cave. God bless you and your beautiful wife and furry family. 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
You are so kind
I think you're a one-man Construction Crew lol. It's amazing all the builds that you do all on your own, for yourself and the animals. I hope you'll get to work on building your dream home soon as well. The kitties and dogs all seem to be like 'let's go see what Dad is building now' 😂😂
Yeah they totally keep checking on my 😆
The Old English Sheepdog apprentices are attentive, friendly and willing to learn 🌹🌹🌹
Yeah they’re such amazing girls
I agree 💯... Funny how I was sure Fozzy was the supervisor but when he was installing the floors Olive and her "dirty work boots" seemed to be in charge 😂
When someone with a good heart and head makes something it’s evident in their work.💪🏾🛠️
Right on!
Can't wait to see the catio finished and something better for the pigs.
I love the kitty 🐈❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome documentation! Honestly, you are a remarkable human being.
❤️❤️
You did a great job!! 💕💕🎶🎶

Chad amazing job🤗👍I can’t imagine how much time it took just to put this video together 😳🫤Looks like Molly and Olive were helping you measure❤🐾
❤️❤️❤️
What a job, no errors that I saw (great editing) Thanks
You are amazing!
Wow, thank you!
You picked out some GREAT MUSIC for this vid! We have the same taste in music for sure…. I was just humming along and tapping my feet through the whole video! 👌🏼🫶🏼👍🏼🤙🏼🤌🏼✊🏼
Nice!
WOW that was a masterful piece of solo building. My back was aching just watching all that lifting, bending and twisting. Love the cats and dogs. Till next video, stay safe.
❤️❤️
Wow absolutely amazing great work
Interesting ! Thanks for the Vids !
Glad you like them!
What a fantastic job of one man construction you did! You're worth your weight in gold.....Hello 👋🏻 from Southern California 🌴
Aww thanks 😊
I still remember during my younger days I saw people using crumpled old newspaper packed between walls and floors as heat insulations.😁
A lot of the eco friendly stuff today is still made up of news paper.
Looks amazing
You working soo hard, and the dogs wana play witch you
Yeah they’re always supervising my work 😆
Man, when I helped roof our house when I was 13, I had to do it the old fashioned way…. Hammer and nails….. that nail gun sure would have made a huge difference!
Especially if it’s a pitched roof, my back and leg muscles get burnt if I’m up there too long, I just bought it too so I did the roof in a day.
So amazing to see this from start to almost finished. You have incredible skills. Love that Molly and Olive were right there with you all the way supervising! 🙂
Yes it’s nice to see it all in one video
Kia Ora & Good Morning from Caribbean Drive, Unsworth Heights, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand ...Another Great Video Bro.
Wow! totally cool build.
As a middle aged divorced guy with no friends, this gives me motivation heh
I am learning from you and I am going to my bird aviary out door soon. Hard work job well done
So cool! Great job doing it on your own.
Great job!
Kitty is doing the supervising. LOL
Yeah they love to check on what I’m up to 😆
Yes.Good background music and animal's dog's and cat'sare great. From outside Philly.
Right on! 🤙
Fantastic build! Really like how you designed it around the tree. Oh and I love the critters!
Now that's the workshop with everything. Nice job!
Nice build…greetings from down under Australia…stay safe!
😁
I really liked seeing how you built the floor system. I have been planning a shed build and I want to insulate the floor. That shows me I'm not crazy for wanting to go through that process. Thanks for the videos!
Great video! Very relaxing to watch! Looks great too!!
Very fun watching you build (first time for me). Great job. Now I have to see your other ones. Thanks for posting.
It was a fun build and did amazing thru the first winter, I was able to get it to 20c inside on very cold days.
Ke buen video
Its amazing how you can do that all by yourself. Congratulations for working hard, never giving up, and no excuses for trying your best with every single wall, truss, and roof piece. You are amazing. Your honey is the best as well. I love your farm and how you love your animals. It is an inspiration to me. I"m in Kenya b ut want to come home to the US so bad. I watch your videos because they bring me joy and give me encouragement that someday that will happen.
Thank you so much!
Awesome!!!
😀
Wow, just WOW! 😲 And self taught. Great job Chad 👍 Being able to build something and fix something is a very attractive quality to have that unfortunately a lot of men don't have nowadays.
I love watching your videos and 💗seeing all the animals on the farm 🐷🦆🐔🐓🐇🐶, especially the Claw Crew 😸 Look forward to seeing more of your farm.
Glad you enjoyed it!
👍you have a contagious laugh!🤣😉

Thanks 👍
Money, suitable materials and tools, knowledge and time. Great job!!!!!!
Perfekt and best wishess from Germany 👌🏼
First time to see your videos... You have some real skill!
Hello! You did an awesome job building your workshop. Are you builder by trade or have you learned to do this kind of work all on your own. Thanks for sharing.👍😄
Your cat: "hmmm i guess this shed you built for me will do.." 😂😂😂
Great work. I got wirried when you first put up the 2x4 stud walls because there were no headers above the windows but then you fixed them good work.
WOW,good job, thx for the video 😊
I would live in that.
Enjoyed watching
All you need now are a couple of goats, sheep, small cows, and donkeys to make more building work for yourself and you'll have a real farm zoo. Lol😂
Am I mistaken of have you shed a few pounds since you started on this venture of yours? I'm pretty sure you have. You work so hard all the time. Your wife must be proud of you and all you've achieved in a relatively short time.
Oh I forgot you still gave to build your saw mill.(I may gave used the wrong words here but being French Can. I had to google the translation because I couldn't remember how you'd called it: the place where you'll be processing your own trees).
Excellent work I always love to watch your videos. Does your wife have her own channel? It would be interesting to see her work as well. But she seems like a quite a private person, which is ok too.
Super content again the best hydra content I've seen ,simple but I've learnt more about hydra and instead of using champions to explain a tier list was a master stroke ❤
Nice
Wow, amazing job!
😀
O bom é ver seus ajudantes aí kkkk os Dogs kkkk.
Awesome and such precise work👍👍👍❤
I’m glad you’re honest. Having the system and rating a c is something
He is a real man!

😀
Awesome, a job well done. I'm very impressed by how smoothly it went up.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great Job by yourself unbelievable.
I think it would look cool if the siding boards were torched before installation. Then when the weather is appropriate do a quick sand and top coat.
Так это же целый дом! Для мастерской это слишком шикарно:-)
cute dogs checking quality of work. approved! 🐶👌
Great job!!! 😁
❤️
Guys listen to me. Those hand augers are going to beat football size bruises into each of your thigh muscles. That’s WITH you and your strong ass bro helping. I live in New England. Trust me when I tell you all to spend the $$ and get the little terramite backhoe or kubota that has that attached or use the hand tools. One potato size Rock even in good loam will throw you around like a kid. Not even joking. And my nephew who was 12 started a hole before us and bragged he beat us at digging a hole. Blew my back tf out when he said it or Ida killed that little punk. But my back was DONE at that point. 13-6’ holes in hard soil saved a wise ass kids life.
The machines are so modern.. my friend's work is so beautiful
Excellent work 😊
Right on 🤙
