I travel to Airbnbs with my cat so I really appreciate the pet friendly ones!!❤ I'm always amazed I can fly and take Via Rail with him!
That’s very cool
3:08 - This shot had me on the floor! The slow zoom, the perfectly timed caw! It feels like it belongs in that George Miller movie called "Babe." Chickens are so delightful and I love them.
I discovered your channel today and I subscribed after the first four videos. The passion and love you have for your land and animals is so inspiring to me. Thank you for posting these videos. I've been having a rough time with life lately, and these were a big comfort.
It is SOOO comforting to see how much work and attention you give to all of the farm critters. Your heart is all in...I LOVE THAT!
You are so kind
You might be able to find a wildlife rehabilitator in your area. It's helpful to have their info handy when you come across injured wildlife like the little birb
I should look that up and have the info handy for such cases.
What a happy ending to the pig story. I can see the relief you feel knowing that they have new homes. Bobby especially seems happier as he was inundated with roommates! I must admit, I will miss seeing no name rabbit as he seemed such a sweetie. The farm looks beautiful with the dusting of snow and the cat family is an absolute joy to watch! Sending much warmth and love your way 😘
Yeah I’m pleased with the way it worked out.
I’m just glad they’re not going to be bacon 🥓 😬
I really enjoy your channel! It’s obvious you love all animals & it’s wonderful you have the income & skills to do right by them as they’re under your care. When we take an animal under our care, we are required by God to treat them humanely. You show just how to do this!
You are living my dream! I love seeing all of your animals. What great care you give them all. ❤
I have 9 indoor cats all were strays who wondered to my house including a mama and her 4 kittens), a blind dog, Guinea pigs, fish, gecko. I have a crazy animal life! 😂
Yes you do, I bet they all keep u busy eh.
Maggie is beautiful she got two different colors eyes
Yup she’s a stunner
All animals should have a friend to live with
So good to help out a new homesteaders. All the animals look great. If the cats had been out you probably wouldn't have seen that bird. I know a lot of our local ones but that one was not familiar.
I looked in my Sibley bird guide and I think it may be a Snow Bunting.
Yeah if I’m not able to sell them why not give em to someone who’ll appreciate them.
Its such a blessing to see how much you care for your kitties. Im a cat Mom. I love my kitties too.
Yeah these cats have my heart that’s for sure.
Good morning. Too cold of a day for me to be out. I don't blame you for keeping the animals in. It's nice that you let the Golden retriever stay on the farm. Glad to see the rabbit is going to a good home. It's good to see you chill with the animals. It's too cold 🥶 to work today. Have a great day.
Yeah us being a farm I thought it best if guests were able to bring their pets. My dogs always love hanging out with the guests dogs anyway.
Love watching the critters! I can imagine how the kitties want out! Thank you for keeping them all safe. Would love to come to your place for vacation, but I'd help feed!
Feedings the best part, I’d like people to have full farm experience when staying here so feedings and other things are most welcome.
Omg your place is beautiful and my favorite is the catio 😻
Glad to hear it 😊
3 roosters with 1 hen is not good. The feather loss is probably due to roosters mounting with her. I would suggest move her out or move all but one rooster out 😊
Two of the Roos are still cockerels I’m not even sure if they’re mating yet but it’s not just her in there she’s with 6 black leghorn hens. I try to have no less than 5 hens to 1 roo. The two cockerels in question will be dealt with soon.
@@HiddenSpringFarmsometimes the roosters just have a favourite and won't leave it alone. She does seem a bit stressed, but she'd also be picked on if she got moved.
Maybe move the roosters out to let her get comfortable again?
@@PreciousPatchesFarms oh yeah for sure if I moved her it’d be worse. One roo is already gone, just need to move the other one and let her chill out. She’s also 3 years old too. I tried to give the roos to the people who took the pigs but they didn’t want roosters.
@@HiddenSpringFarmya. I don't want a rooster yet either! Funny that my neighbours free range roosters haven't found my hens ! They are big scary roosters 🐓
So glad the bunnies are going to a great home❤The kitties can’t wait for the family to leave so they can go outside🤗The poor birdie🥹☹️
Oh yeah the cats want out so bad, they’d probably just hide and wouldn’t even be able to get them back in. I had them out all day yesterday filming my next video so they’re happy again 😊
Dexter is so mischievous 😻😻love all the updates🥰
Haha I know he’s a little stinker, they focus on the oddest things 😂
So much work so very many personalities to learn best wishes in the every day lives of your farm…no doubt you seriously love these animals so generous with love and care SOOO MUCH WORK!!! Happy to see you will get a bit of time off…
❤️❤️
So lovely watching your video today. Your cats look so healthy and plump. That poor bird stands no chance in the wild if it is blind. So sad. OES is the perfect breed for you as they rarely feel the cold. They look so happy and don't seem to be constantly finding ways they could hurt themselves. My Benjamin needs constant supervision as he just tries to do things that will hurt him all the time. He has now decided eating his puppy continence pads is a good idea. Permanently worrying he will do himself a mischief. He is growing at an alarming rate but is so good natured, loves everybody and every creature and very affectionate. We get mobbed if we go near people which he loves. They are such beautiful puppies. Sending love from the UK. Wendy
Once I taught my dogs the meaning of the word “NO” training became a lot easier cause I would say no a thousand times a day. Molly used to herd me when she was a puppy, she’d chase me down and pull down my shorts 😂
😂😂😂@@HiddenSpringFarm
Yes, they do like to herd. Benjamin is always herding his toys. Moves them all into the living room and then back to his dog bed. He is a pest hanging on to your clothes. He likes thieving my socks and underwear but luckily they end up in his bed so I know where to find them. We are trying to teach him no but he gets stubborn and barks at us. We are strict but remember he is only a baby. The males are a lot more stubborn than the females. My first OES was a girl and she was easier to train than Benjamin. My friend struggled a bit with her male, Sam but they just like to barks or talk and have the last word. Not aggressive, just noisy. I suppose they are just testing the boundaries. We will gradually start stepping up the rules as he gets older. He has rules now but we pick our battles so we achieve something and move on to something else. He is only 21 weeks old. He is an affectionate good natured puppy so I am very confident he will be a great dog. They certainly make you laugh with their mischief. Wendy
I love how u take care and love all ur animals
The little bird is a Snow Bunting 🌾🐾
Very cool
I love your kitties ❤You’re so kind to them. Of course I like all of the other animals too. Central Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
most wholesome channel c: so jealous of your life
Aww thanks 😊
Chunk looks exactly like our Mr. Biscuits! Farms are daily events, one after another seems like and always a learning experience. Glad to hear your good news about the rabbits and the pigs!
Good morning Chad, so awesome you were able to help the family that took rabbits and pigs. What a great helping hand that gave them!!! That was for sure a win, win situation. We are on the Mexico border in Az. And got snow yesterday, still beautiful but it will be gone soon. My kinda snow 😊 God bless
It can’t be normal to get snow down there can it? I’m glad the way it all came together, the one lady sent me photos of the pigs and rabbits in their new pens…makes me happy that at least if I can’t sell them they went to a good home.
All cats are beautiful😍❤
They sure are 🐱
the bird looks like a snow bunting
Love to watch you care and love these animals. You and they look so happy together!
Oh yeah they’re a great group, lotsa fun.
Maggie is so incredibly cute! love how you talk to them all. I am no rabbit expert but I do know that they take that bunny poo straight from their (ahem) backsides when they need it. This means that you can sweep that floor all you like!
Haha so wait They just let the turtlehead poke they then pinch it so they can reach around and scarf it?
You are so funny! I think they approach it from curling over their belly. like a "c" shape from nose to tail. I learned this in animal science class. Something to do with getting their B vitamins I think. Too long ago for me to remember. It never hits the ground. Your rabbits seem to be very happy in your set up. they will be exposed to more parasites but it's got to be nicer than living in a cage.
15:40 Olive: "Go long, Dad!"
Your bird reminds me of a canary I had. Someone sent me plants as a gift and they had mites that got in my bird cage and affected my birds' eyes. My Canary book had a remedy using boric acid. It worked!
It's a pleasure watching you here from Swat valley in northern Pakistan, around 12 thousand miles away. Slightly more snow here with us in the last five days but our livestock, especially chickens, are unexpectedly enjoying it. Thank you for all the information and advice which usually come quite handy when faced with similar issues.
Glad you’re enjoying, stay warm out there eh
I used golf balls. They warmed up beautifully, just like real eggs.
I have 4 bardrocks and 4 golden winedots' and 4 buff Orpingtons and 1 rooster
Enjoy your videos! I wanted to share my personal experience with roosters. I raise Pearl White Leghorns, Plymouth Barred Rocks & Jersey Giant chickens. I have learned the hard way to only have one rooster per flock. I can & & do house more than 1 roosters together without any hens. The Bachelor roosters live in harmony, give them a hen…..all hell breaks loose 🤦🏻♀️
I like to have no less than 6 hens per roo but these guys are not keepers. I have the other coop with 4 younger roos so I could put these 2 with them, but really their days are numbered as I’m not keeping that many roosters. I want 1 roosters per flock too…Big Red, MJ and Elvis these these other cockerels were just from our summer hatch.
Maggie is a sweet looking kitty! Love watching your farm life! God Bless!
Thank you for the updates!! Great video!! ☺️👍💜✨
Many good changes have taken place on the farm.
Nice a family is enjoying the stay there.
Loves your content. Blessings be upon you and your family.
Until next time 😊👍
Sending love and support from Florida 🌺💫💫💫
So nice of you, thanks so much 😊
It was 37° C (approx 100°F) here in Dubbo Australia when you made this video. I just can't understand how cold it gets there. Lovely catio. Great video🥶
Love your farm
❤️❤️
Just recently started watching your channel. Should you ever encounter another little bird or creature that needs help, maybe you can see if your area has a wildlife rehabber? They are often listed on the internet. You can google your zipcode for wildlife rehabilitation or sanctuary. You have a very sweet soul so I hope there is one someone near you to help in the future. ♥
That is a fantastic update on the farm. You did good. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
All the cat's are adorable. However Maggie is gorgeous ❤
Her colourations are just incredible
I would have contacted a wildlife Sanctuary about the little bird, he/she is probably dead now, I know you have your hands full so not judging, you are a kind soul.
Great place you have , love it here cats
😊
Watching your animals is addictive! What a great farm😁
Awesome!!! 👏
Exciting update! Your chickens also seem very happy.
I'm jealous, here in Brazil is 35°c.
Wow that’s pretty warm. Is it your summer?
@@HiddenSpringFarm our summer or hell ;)
Poor bird doesn't have an eye. Thanks for helping it out 👍
Our OES, Waffles, watches intently every time Molly or Olive come on and he really loves the ducks too! I would love to send you a clip of him watching your program.😂
That’s so awesome 👏
Just found your channel. Love all the building that you have built for your animals. Nice to see your care for them so much. We have a camper that we turned into a chicken house. Redone the whole inside, put a lean-to off the front of it and used dog kennel fencing for the run. We call it the coop camper!
Aww it's nice to see the cat's play with the toy. It's awesome 👍
Yeah Chunk & Dexter love that toy
This is GREAT! You WUV Yore animals!
Much appreciated
@@HiddenSpringFarmGlad that You have trained your Puppies to respect the other animals on the farm. BTW? What breed? They are Handsome Puppies!

One thing for sure you're a Man with a plan. Great Job always 👍
I think a cat found that bird before you did.....probably a few days ago.
Great video Chad, I'm happy you found a home for the pigs and rabbit 🐰 🐖 Fitz is a beautiful dog by the way.
Yes I’m happy the way it all came together.

Exactly, I’m pleased he’ll be living better. Thnx for the comment 😊
Beautiful farm! I live in Ontario, too. It has always been my dream to live like this, but I am from the city and have no friends or family who would be apart of it with me, and living out there alone wouldn't be safe for me.
But it's nice to live vicariously through RUclips channels like yours, thank you.
Do you have any precautions for coyotes, raccoons, or bears coming to your farm?
Aww thnx, it’s a wonderful paradise that’s for sure. All the animals houses and runs are fully protected from predators and no animal stays out overnight so that’s all we’ve done really.
The pig wagging the tail at the end was so funny😂it’s great that you’ve helped other people on their own journey on their homestead with giving them the free piglets and rabbits
I wonder why they didn’t sell at first I’m surprised they wasn’t snapped up for 100 each! I’m glad that you know who they went to and they’re not meat, I know that’s kinda life and stuff but it’s just a nice thing they where brought into the world by the mother and you and your wife and now they live a life growing up and doing their thing and they can wag their tail too just like the parent🥹
one of my viewers suggested it was because they were fall piglets, if I was selling them in spring it would be different. Not sure about that though but I'm selling the accidental litter of piglets right now so we'll see how it goes.
Glad you found good home for all and love your farm
Us too!, thnx so much ❤️
❤😂Hihihi Escaping animals looks so cute when running away a little bit! ❤😂❤❤❤
Just love your little family farm. We have never seen a bird with those markings either wonder if it had gotten blown off course from a distant land. RUclips unsubscribed us! All the best in 2024
I’ve heard that about RUclips. They’re shifty eh. Thnx for the comment 😊
Sweet!!
Looks like the family and their pup all had fun. chickens can be pretty horrible to each other at times, if the ones with less feathers start to bleed you need to remouve them b4 the rest eat them alive( crazy cannibals ). hope the pigs are not alone too long, most dont do well alone. For the least hassle keep in pairs and not same size together( they wont fight to be boss if 1 is much larger then other, or the fight wont be as bad at least) have you thought of a different breed for your situation, perhaps kunekune. they are slow growers , eat little grain and mostly hay and grass, known friendly breed around children. lots of pluses in you not looking for meat animals as they are not big meat producers. It's fun to watch the place evolve over time as you keep goin.
Lovely channel. ❤
Glad you enjoy it 😊
Great vlog and question? Do all the dogs and
cats have tracking devices on their collars?❤
Aww thnx. Yes & no. All the cats wear apple air tag trackers, but they’re not real gps they just work using Bluetooth. I did have them on the dogs but they get wet so easily and damaged do I stopped.

The cats❤❤❤
Olive is literally chilled today 🐕ice is hanging from his hair 😊 it's obvious he enjoy the snow. And playing ball always.
Oh she’s just a bundle of energy
those are some happy animals!!
When a chicken/rooster is not feeling up to par, soak them in slightly warm magnesium or epsom salt water. Saw somebody recommend this. Perks em right up.
Take a google pic in the google search bar engine of ur phone google browser. Should identify the bird. Injured eye and no eye. It can’t survive until the injured eye is healed
Can’t you give the little bird some warmth and feed. And put some warm water on his eyes ?
Thank goodness the pigs found a new home! And Nameless gets a girlfriend!
Hmmm I assumed my larger rabbit was the male, but now I just don't know again! (They are the same breed as yours. Hugs Bunny and Honey Bunny. They were supposed to be sisters, but nope!)
Lovely chickens. I only have Azure Blues, and some white one that was sold as an Azure Blue but lays brown eggs! Boy are the Blues laying beautiful blue eggs.
Setting up a paddock to get us something new in a year. Maybe a couple sheep or goats or Highland cows.
Neighbour's dogs are terrible. If they get loose they come to kill my birds and rabbits. They are on their last chance.
I really enjoy watching your videos. Have a great week Chad, and YAY! Billy and Bobby are solo again! (No more piglets lol)
Oh get a highland they are so beautiful, I’d like to have em one day. If they’re adults Just look for the balls on the boy rabbit that’s easiest to tell but if they’re young I find it very difficult to tell. Appreciate the comment 😊
We had a cat killed by a neighbor’s pack of dogs. John confronted the neighbor, who basically said that was no big deal, and her dogs were here first. We immediately called the sheriff’s office, and a Deputy came out. The neighbor said it couldn’t have been have been her dogs, because as the Deputy could see, they were always kept in a chain link enclosure. When the Deputy came to us with that story, John told him that if the dogs came onto his property again, they would be shot. Deputy said we were within our rights to do that. The dogs slowly disappeared, and when the neighbor confronted John and accused him of killing her dogs, he replied that it was impossible, because her dogs were always kept in an enclosure. She had no response to that. The dogs were vicious, and uncontrolled. The cat that was killed was a very rare cat. Not moneywise; she was one of twin calico cats. Our vet said she had never even heard of twin calico cats, much less seen them. We had just moved to the farm, and were unaware that a pack of dogs was running free, when this happened.
I am so very sorry. I feel your pain. When a child, a neighbour poisoned our cat. Disgusting.
@@leonafaryna7617 so sorry to hear that.very sad.
@@HiddenSpringFarm I pet my two but they aren't really 'friends' with me. I will try that though!
I learned how to tell by getting them on their backs and getting a good look lol.

HI CHAD MY 2 YR. OLD SHEEPDOG. VIOLET LOVES HER TENNIS BALLS❤
Yeah they’re very fun and playful eh.
Just found this channel a few days ago- So nice & informative! What fantastic visuals!
Why have the animal buildings so far apart? Wouldn't it save on heat & effort & materials to have them connected to each other?
Aww thnx. There is a method to my madness, firstly it’s fun but more importantly I’m trying to build a system for each animal for example the chickens are close to the compost cause they can scratch and aerate it for me while eating bugs. The ducks and geese back into our orchard so they can free range & eat grass & bugs all while fertilizing the trees. Anyways that was my thinking.
@@HiddenSpringFarm Ohhh! That's fantastic, Nice!
So if I get to live my dream...I'll have to plan where stuff goes in the 1st place w this sort of thing in mind. You're really helping, Thank you & hi from New York! 🗽
The goose need to chill out 😂
I really don't understand why the pigs wouldn't sell. 🤔 Puzzling. But, it is good that they found a home😊😊Your farm is awesome 👍👍👍.
I bought Billie and Bobby from different farms at different times for $200 each. When the pigs were 8 weeks I had them at $200 also but no takers so I reduced too $100 worried I couldn’t sell them. After 2 more months I caved and gave them away. I can only think of the economy issue maybe or just people in my area weren’t in the market. I do like my bacon too but these pigs are more for pets. I’d never say I won’t try again but that’s a lot of effort and money for 6 months to only then give them away. I’m happy I found them a home but disappointed somewhat.
Just Love ❤️ it !! Chicken Escape!!
You are a great, considerate and caring person - such a pleasure to watch your videos all the time! Congrats on the piglets - sad, that they didn't offer anything at all to offset the cost, but I guess it is a lesson learned.
About Bubbles - I have 2 inside cats, they are with me 24/7 (I work from home), and a girl still doesn't let me pet her. I do everything for them - cook, feed, clean them, brush them and their teeth. And she is still stand-offish. I think it is just that cats have different personalities, just like people. Also, I have heard that girls are less affectionate. I know you have already 2 girls, and they are different. But sometimes, they are just like that. No cuddles, only business.
BEAUTIFUL BIRD
I think people want feeder pigs , things are so expensive now to have big animals as pets
Happy new year to you and your sweetheart.🎉. I just so enjoy your show. Thankyou for taking time to upload.
Same to you all the best in 2024
Nooice! 😎 STOC
I wish you raced the piglets..... There is this guy on RUclips who races his piggies.... You have to watch it.
I love your videos! What a great idea to use your farm for education. Your sweet little Rhodes Island Red seems to be a favorite of the rooster. I have a rooster and he especially like two of my Comet hens. Occasionally I have to give them a break from the rooster and it seems to reset his interest in some of the other hens. 😂
Yeah those young roos have overstayed their welcome. I tried to give them to the pig people but they don’t want roosters.
Another great video ❤
The roosters are bothering your rhodie. They are mating with her too aggressively.
That goose is trying to mate with the duck. Remember what happened when you had them together
That poor bird! If you see it again bring it to a wildlife/bird rehabber.
Looks like brown road island is getting roughed up. Did you seperate them? Is she still roosting to get away. Just wondering what happened with that. You have a great farm and I love seeing all of your animals. New subscriber! 😊
I pulled the roosters and she’s much more active now, getting better I hope. I usually keep only 1 roo per flock but these two others were just coming of age and getting rowdy.
I can almost remember the proper names to your farm babies.....almost.
21:14 looks like a field sparrow
You definitely do the right thing by allowing ppl to bring their pets (dog(s) with them and it’s important for their dogs too.
But I also think you do the BEST and correct thing by keeping YOUR animals inside while they are there.
Any or many could easily be killed or maimed otherwise.
You DON’T want that !
My only question is, what if the ppl want to stay for a week ?!
You are just forced to keep your poor animals in that WHOLE time???
Because that’s not fair to them at all. Especially if they are all used to getting out of their enclosures every day.
Or do you do some type of trade-off?
Where you’ll ask them to keep their dog in the house every couple of days so you can let your animals out?
Even if it’s not a whole 7 days they stay but 4-5 days.
That’s too long to be all closed up day and night for multiple days on end w no relief.
Just curious how you managed that.
Thanks Chad 👋🏼
Keep up the great work and we hope you have a fantastic day!!
PS,
Maybe while the cats are stuck in the cat barn you could put CatTV on the TV I saw in there, and give them something to look at and entertain them a bit.
The bird you found has an eye disease. The reason it wasn’t in a tree is bc it literally CAN’T see anything. It’s basically blind 😞
There is NO way it will survive the winter.
It can’t see to eat or fly to safety 😢☹️
Poor little thing…
We’ve had plenty of long term stays with dogs and it hasn’t been an issue yet. Most times dogs don’t act like they’re gonna eat the animals. The longest stay we’ve had was 3.5 months and they had a sheepadoodle that was no issue, the cats and other animals went out and prey drive wasn’t a problem. I suppose if we ever came into that situation we’d have to work something out. Especially since I’m running a RUclips channel as well so every time I filmed the animals they would be in, wouldn’t make for my usual fun videos.
You should walk around with a Shepard stick or , I call it , Moses stick.
Oops! Dexter almost got sat on 😊
Yup once he knows I’m going for the chair he’s gotta beat me to it 😂
I think the Rhode Island is getting picked on… like literally “pecked” on. Usually the rooster does that to hens when there’s not enough hens for him, he’ll beat up a couple like that when mounting
