    using hammer drill in combo with jack hammer is very good idea. Also switching between tools helps to cool and prolong the life of super cheap jack hammer and super cheap SDS hammer drill that I got.

    Get a saw or a blade on a grinder and make a bunch of score lines as deep as possible

    Brother, why didn’t you just get the bit attachment for the big hammer drill your using to jack hammer? It’s way more of a beast than the dewalt with a hammer setting…

    I have a post tension slab. In the middle where the garage door touches down it warns "post tension slab do not drill or cut"

      I personally would not mess with a post tension slab.

    That was painful to watch. I've been there before, but a $40 concrete saw rental with a $60 jackhammer could have done that job in about 20 mins. But when making doing with what you have on a budget, your approach is sound.

    I don't have good feeling about cutting these metal pieces. How to know if it is OK to cut them?

      You got to make sure. I heard tension cables pop like springs. Must video don't cut but try to work around them.

    is there any risk to the foundation of the entire house?

    • @DaBuick
      @DaBuick 2 года назад

      not really, you'd have to remove a lot of concrete to risk damage. The concrete gets put back later anyway. Think of it like your walls. Lots of 2x4's you could remove a bunch before the structure was at risk.

      @jn5720 2 года назад

      The foundation is just an after pour and it doesn’t add to structural strength of the structure. The concrete belts along the walls under the concrete are the ones that add structural strength which shouldn’t be touched
