I think Red roses are the most romantic flowers ever and also perfect for Valentine's day ... but there are so so so many beautiful flowers out there with the color red that can also be gifted to someone special 😊 love your work !!!! I wish I could make sugar flowers do easy as you ❤❤❤ congrats 👏
I just came across your channel and I am so blown away!! Thank you for making such helpful videos! You are SO incredibly talented and have inspired me so much
Stunning sugar flowers!!! I’m completely new to making sugar flower, just wondering if it’s ok to insert the wires into the cake that would be eaten afterwards? Just concerned about the toxicity... oh I got my answer towards the end of the video! Thank you.
I think some type of orchid would make for an exotic and romantic flowers! There is one called Orchis Italica, which made me a bit uncomfortable looking at 😳. Seriously, look up the images! A very rare orchid that I was looking at is called Bonsi Phalaenopsis! They look like butterflies 🦋 They have to be the prettiest that I have seen! My husband and I are not into Valentine’s Day. We believe that every day should be celebrated with love! I know it sounds corny, but Valentines has become overly commercialized, like so many other holidays. Anyway, I am really looking forward to the 5 day challenge! I have been practicing so much that I think I am going to have to make another batch of gum paste! I will never buy or use anyone else’s sugar paste because your recipe is the best ❤️ Our second anniversary is this April and I will be making your decadent chocolate cake, whipped chocolate ganache as the filling with our favorite 58% Cacao Barry Mi-Amère semisweet chocolate and Italian buttercream❤️ I was also thinking of making the flower wreath I wore for our wedding as the topper. I might be biting off more than I can chew, but I really want to give it a shot!
I agree, I was just saying that to my fiance! Orchids are so beautiful. And I just googled those orchids HA they're great, kinda hilarious! We're not into Valentine's Day either. The commercialization takes away from the appreciation of the otherwise beautiful flowers/gifts/etc (for me, at least). That sounds like a perfect anniversary cake. Give it a go! I always feel like my designs will be too much then they always come together in the end. 5 day challenge coming so soon I can't wait to share and see all the flowers that come out of it!
9:56 does it happen to you that everytime you accidentally break a petal you’re like “NOOO DAMN IT!!!” and then, 5 seconds later you’re like “Oh it actually adds to the natural look of the flower”? Happens to me every time. LOL
Okay just watched the end of the vid and you explained. However, we still do not insert taped wires as fish product is used as a glue for the tape which is considered a contaminate. Strange how this differs so much country to country.
If making cakes for a client I will certainly put a cocktail straw on the exterior of the wire before inserting it. But here there is no problem if people do want to insert wires, fresh flowers, etc directly into the cake for some reason. I've never had problems with the method I use and took a class in the US with a prominent cake decorator who inserts taped wires directly in too, so it seems not to be a problem in North America.
I have watched a few of your videos and have liked a lot of what you do. But, so very disappointed to see that you have inserted wires straight into your cake. This is strictly a no, no in the UK. Wires whether covered or not, must never be inserted directly into a cake. A sterilised posy pick or straw must be used to avoid contamination. How is it that this is permitted in your country?
The tiny decorations are so beautifully done! 🎀🍰
