Great job but you're missing some crucial points,
    1. The reason why Hazrat Ali refused to bring justice to Uthman's killers was because the killers were too large in number and H.Ali wasn't ready to punish the large number of people without the proper facts and records so that no innocent is punished
    2. Muaviya was wrong to oppose H.Ali. It was clear he only wanted his clan, Ummayads, to rule. Uthman was also wrong to put too many rulers from his own family - clearly the Ummayads wanted domination in the Muslim empire. Without Muaviya's alliegance Hazrat Ali was scared his rule would be weakened and would cause problems similar to those that happened to Uthman.
    3. Hazrat Hassan did not refuse to fight because of a weak army. He was the grandson of Holy Prophet and would put up a great opposition but he refused since he didn't want any bloodshed
    4. Imam Hussain did not only refuse allegiance to Yazeed because he broke the treaty but also because he was a person straying away from Islam, he would gamble, drink wine and commit sins hence Imam Hussain wasn't ready to hand over the Muslim empire to someone filled with falsehood.
    4. The people of Kufa were at the side of Imam Hussain, however, after the Imam received letters of support Yazeed placed a very strict anti-Hussain ruler who would kill/torture anyone who took the Imams side hence everyone backed out

Don't say hazrat hassan (a.s) couldn't fight coz of weak army, actually he was grandson of prophet who was never in favour of human bloodshed for power,so he went for peace treaty coz of his best training by prophet, where love of power never exists.hassan and hussain were embodiment of love and sacrifices. They n their father never loved power n control. They just loved humanity.

Facts on Yazid that was missed in the video-
    1) Yazid was the son of Muoweya
    2) Yazid was not a great human, let alone be the leader. He was Evil.
    3) He sent an Army of 30,000 to kill Imam Hussain, his family and companions whom altogether were 72 people. By these figures, clearly he was a psycho.
Imam Hussain stood up against oppression, he was betrayed by the Kufa people whom said they were with him but disappeared after the threats of Yazid.
Karbala is not a forgettable event. It consists of sacrifice, courage, bravery, leadership, family, true companionship, fight against oppression, fight for freedom, fight for what is right against the wrong. He was from the blood of Prophet Muhammad, yet he was brutelly murdered and then you have some people who say they are Muslim, yet overlook this event.

I would like to hear about the Shia version really, as this video is hardly balanced, maybe the division isn't as bad as it seems and finally we can at least say hello without going to each other's throat.

Well just look into history and you will discover that Yazid and Muawiyya weren't even practicing Muslims by any means, for example Yazid used to drink. They just wanted the power at that time in history, for them it wasn't about islam at all. While Hassan and Husayn couldn't accept that the religion which their grandfather(!) brought was treated like that, they had no option but going to war with Muawiyya and Yazid.

Ali was killed by the same people who killed Uthman. So that wasn't the Sunni's, Hassan died and they claim it was no poison with no proof. And Husayn was killed right in front of those same Shia who claimed they would help him.
Anyways none of that matters, what matters is what's the true Islam. And Shia accuse the majority of the companions of being hypocrites including Uthman RA who was incharge of the complete version of the Quran we read today and Umar RA and Aisha RA and Ibn Umar and Abu Huraira who gave is a lot of hadith

      @mmsaf17 5 лет назад +21

Omar Omar so your saying the same people that killed uthman killed Ali? Than why did aisha fight against Ali? Than muawiya fought against Ali and than the khawarj.
Uthman didn’t gather the Quran, it was in his time, doesn’t mean he wrote it or gathered any of it.
And abu hurrara came to Islam 3 years prior to the death of the prophet yet he has over 5000 Hadiths.

    • @8achim936
      @8achim936 4 года назад +1

Last name First name well if it wasn’t for your mate muawiya this divide wouldn’t have happened so if you wanna blame someone for this divide it should be muawiya. • @lastnamefirstname4678
      @lastnamefirstname4678 4 года назад +23

@@8achim936 the reason the divide happened is because Shias can't move on from that tradegy. We don't even mourn the Prophet's death the way you mourn the deaths of ordinary human beings that had no prophetic. Muawiya and Ali's hate was nothing more than a poltical situation. Muawiya himself wasn't a good Muslim and no sunnis regard him as The perfect example of a true Muslim however that doesn't change the fact that Ali (RA) and muawiya had issues regarding policies which is a political situation. The reason Islam is currently divided is because Shia's can't accept that a tradgrh occurred to the leader of a POLITICAL party and treat Ali (RA) as if he was a Prophet himself which is wrong. Was Ali (RA) a great man ? Yes! Was what happened to his children a tradegy? Yes but should we continue to argue about a political situation that occurred so long ago? No. Sunnis respect all the caliphs of Islam but do not give them more importance than the other Prophets mentioned in the Quran nor do they think the Caliphs were on equal footing with the Prophet himself or the Prophet's that came before him as The Quran itself mentions the Prophet and other prophets but makes no mention of any of the Caliphs. After the Prophet, everyone else was a human no different than me and you.
Again what Yazeed did was awful and unforgivable but again to continue to mourn so heavily for the grandsons and to call on their names for help is insane. They were political parties/opponents and was no different than a president being assassinated. Would you mourn a president you really liked and thought was a great man thousands of years after his assassination and then call his name for help ? It's once again illogical what shias do especially in Islam where you can't ask for anyone's help besides the All Mighty. The Holy Prophet himself didn't want statues or pictures of himself so people didn't pray or call his name instead of the name of God yet shias completely ignore this and call for Hussein/Hassan and Ali (RA).

@@lastnamefirstname4678 Us Shias understand only Allah (God) is Caretaker of all, and us shias ONLY call for help from Almighty Allah. We call for 'Ya Husain, Ya Ali, Ya Hasan because Muhammed PBUH's own heart was with these 3 amazing men. Ali (R) was his beloved nephew (blood relative), Hasan (R) was his beloved grandson and Hussain (R) was the younger grandson. These 2 grandsons literally grew up on the shoulders of Prophet Muhammed PBUH; playing and laughing.
In your mind imagine this, If our beloved Prophet Muhammed PBUH witnessed with his own eyes the assassinations of Ali (R), Hasan (R) and Hussain (R) and rest of their family, he would mourn their deaths with the heaviest heart, he would beat himself crying until the pain would be too much and he would be calling on them Ya Ali Ya Hasan Ya Hussain all night, for nights to come. When you look at what the shias do during Muharram, it is the exact same behavior of crying, feeling the pain of the survivors of Karbala and calling the names of those 3 honorable men.
Shias feel the pain of our beloved Prophet Muhammed PBUH, and they feel it DEEPLY. That's where the difference is where I find that shias are the True followers. True because Prophet Muhammed PBUH himself would take a month (that's what Muharram is) to mourn the deaths of his family members, just like shias do today. It's important to know that shias are intuitively and emotionally more connected to our beloved Prophet Muhammed PBUH himself and his beloved family. A lot more than the sunnis'. It's important because Islam itself is an intuitive religion, as well as a political one and has many attributes, just like how Allah (swt) has attributes, and that's why Islam a successful religion, and will continue to be.
The so called shias that call for help to other than Allah (swt), don't actually understand Islam as a whole themselves.
Islam is a beautiful religion. I'm grateful to have Islam chosen me. And I chose it back. Alhamdulillah. :)

    • @lastnamefirstname4678
      @lastnamefirstname4678 4 года назад +13

@@zainnaqvi23 That's not true at all. Islam forbids calling out anyone's name for help and even against excessive mourning. Islam also forbids causing harm to yourself like how shia's routinely do during Muharam.
Your claim of if the Prophet (pbuh) saw what happened to his grandchildren he would do the same things shias currently do is wrong as evident by what the Prophet (pbuh) did during the year of tradegy. The Prophet never resulted to beating himself or crying excessively for his wife or his uncle whom he loved greatly. Once again you should give more charity or hand out food during the months of muharam as it was a tradegy however Shia's do things that are not permissible in Islam as evident by how the Prophet(pbuh) mourned during his life time.
Also shia's place the grandchildren and Ali (RA) in equal footing with the other Prophets of Islam. We don't even mourn Prophet Isa after he was hung on a cross which was equally as horrible as an example

My mother is shia and my father Sunni, each of them wanted me to become „one of them“. I did not want them to argue over me so I told them I don’t want to do anything with islam. But at some point Allah SWT guided me to the right path alhamdulilah so I had to check both sides. I have to admit that for me the shia side has a lot of logical flaws which I will state here. Also I had the feeling that they pick verses out of context and interpret them as they like. Maybe some shia brother can answer my questions.
    1) Shias are interpreting riba as usary and not interest. So it is halal to take and give interest. This is the number one reasons why I could not become shia. There is no doubt that interest is the cause of all economical problems (even if interest is only 1%). You can check this out everywhere, it is FACT! Gods economic system is zakat! The best form of tax. So if a believe has one mistake, I can’t believe that it comes from god. Sunnis reject any form of interest
    2) Khums: Shias say you have to pay 1/5th of your yearly income as a form of tax. To me this is flawed exactly like our current system and stands in contrast to zakat! I don’t know any shia who is paying the khums. The Quran says it won’t make us do something which is too hard for us to do. The Sunni view is that khums is only for war times. The surah in the quran where khums is mentioned is clearly talking about war times and no where else in the Quran is khums mentioned!
    3) Marriage just for a period of time
Go to the father and mother of a shia girl and ask them if they are alright with marrying their daughter for a set period. Again most of them don’t like it.
    4) I don’t believe our prophet peace be upon him chose Ali as the second caliph. The reason for my opinion is that if he would have done so, every Muslim leader in the future would have put his son as his successor. Making the caliphate a kingship. We all want to follow the prophet and this would have been the best excuse. We condemn Muawiya for putting Yazid as his successor instead voting, but with appointing Ali as the second caliph we would have given him the perfect justification to do so! The way the first 4 caliphs were chosen/voted is a perfect for of democracy. Let the most knowledgeable and god fearing/ most suited be caliph.
If Allah SWT wanted he would have given our prophet peace be upon him sons himself.
    5) Shias accusing Abu Bakr/ Omar for stealing the title of the caliphate doesn’t make sense to me too. Abu Bakr gave up all his wealth and risked his life for the prophet peace be upon him, so why on earth would he risk to go into hell fire by disobeying the order of the prophet? Same goes for Omar
    6) Why would Ali give his daughter to Omar as a wife when he stole the title of caliph from him?
    7) Why are the other imams all from the lineage of Husayn and not Hassan? Is it because he gave the title of caliph to Muawiya?
    8) Are Shias believing that a caliph/Imam has to be someone without sin and of the family of the prophet? What happens if all the successors die and none is left?
These are some of my thoughts in regards to the shia view while researching myself. I couldn’t find anything contradicting in the Sunni view. My objection here is not to offend anyone, just sharing my own experience.

these are things that have bothered me for quite a while. I feel that neither the shia nor the sunni's are totally correct but they each have things that are true that the other side doesn't have. for example, in Bukhari it states that the Prophet used to sometimes join his salat (zuhr + asr, magrib + isha) without any sickness, travel or need. The Shia do this ALL the time but the sunni's are against it. But thats not what the Prophet did. The Shia also don't pray tarawih, but according to sunni sources the Prophet discouraged the gathering of musali's during Ramadan after Isha as it would likely become a burden on the Ummah. I feel the Shia belief more accurately reflects the practice and teaching of the Prophet in this regard, more so than the sunni's. There are other things also, but for the shia, they pray on clay stones. The prophet and his companions didn't do this so this is a CLEAR innnovation. The sunni's call the Azan correctly and the Shia have added to the azan what wasn't present during the life of the Prophet. So as I said before, I feel the truth lies somewhere in the middle and neither side is 100% correct.

With all due respect, Sir. You’re missing a lot. Please research more. There’s more than just the “Ghadeer Khum” proclamation that you cited. For example the Verse that was revealed right before the proclamation which nullifies his Prophethood if he fails to proclaim what has been commanded, and the verse of Completion/Perfection was revealed right after the proclamation of Hazrat Ali, and there was a Pledge of Allegiance by the present Companions (including AbuBakr,Umar,Uthman) to Ali after the proclamation. The Hadith of 12 Imams/Caliphs after the Prophet, Hadith of Ahlulbayt (Kissa) and the Verse of Purification. Remember Hadiths have corresponding Qur’anic revelations. And bear in mind that the word of the Prophet is the word of GOD. Obedience to him is obedience to GOD. Whatever he says is a commandment from GOD. Also, you have to take into consideration how GOD reprimanded Aisha in the Quran because of the Battle of the Camel. Consider also the Hadiths and verse which require us to follow and love the Purified Ahlulbayt. And so on and so forth. You can find these hadiths in both Sunni and Shia books.

    Al-Hashr 59:10
And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."
I wonder why a true follower of the prophet Muhammad SAW will not heed to these verses because Allah having knowledge of what happened, is happening and will happen has precautioned us so that we don't erase our scanty good deeds by slandering the noble companions of the holy prophet Muhammad SAW, who were praised by Allah in the Quran and by the prophet Muhammad SAW himself in several authentic ahadith, thus should we think they did something wrong we also atimes err and never were they angels, majority of the companions followed them, Islam triumphed in their hands Ali was in good terms with all of them and supported them in their respective terms of office and prayed with them. @@sidreb7642 This is the narration you are referring to:
Narrated 'Aisha: When the Prophet, became ill in his fatal illness, someone came to inform him about the prayer, and the Prophet told him to tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in the prayer. I said, "Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man and if he stands for the prayer in your place, he would weep and would not be able to recite the Qur'an." The Prophet said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer." I said the same as before. He (repeated the same order and) on the third or the fourth time he said, "You are the companions of Joseph. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer." So Abu Bakr led the prayer and meanwhile the Prophet felt better and came out with the help of two men; as if I see him just now dragging his feet on the ground. When Abu Bakr saw him, he tried to retreat but the Prophet beckoned him to carry on. Abu Bakr retreated a bit and the Prophet sat on his (left) side. Abu Bakr was repeating the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) of Allah's Apostle for the people to hear.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 11, Number 680-681
      The question:
If the prophet peace be upon him and his pure family was the one who ordered Abu Bakr to lead the prayer, then why did he later go to the mosque “dragging his feet on the ground” while he was experiencing his “fatal illness” and lead the prayer himself while sitting down? This is the only time in history someone has led a prayer while sitting. This proves that once the prophet realised the plot of Aisha, he became very angry describing Aisha and Hafsa as “the companions of Joseph” and with his “fatal illness” he decided to go to the mosque to prevent what others now claim.
This was the reply of the brother to you:
Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah's Apostle appointed Usama bin Zaid as the commander of some people. Those people criticised his leadership. The Prophet said, "If you speak ill of his leadership, you have already spoken ill of his father's leadership before. By Allah, he deserved to be a Commander, and he was one of the most beloved persons to me and now this (i.e. Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him.
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 552
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 744-745
This Abu Bakr and Umar were supposed to be under the leadership of Usama instead they critisized it and left it to plot their coup. Aisha may Allah curse her wanted her father to be leader as well so she said the lie:
Narrated Al-Aswad: It was mentioned in the presence of 'Aisha that the Prophet had appointed 'Ali as successor by will. Thereupon she said, "Who said so? I saw the Prophet, while I was supporting him against my chest. He asked for a tray, and then fell on one side and expired, and I did not feel it. So how (do the people say) he appointed 'Ali as his successor?"
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 736
Just a note, the Holy Prophet peace be upon him and his pure family passed on the chest of Ali peace be upon him and this is narrated in your books.

Like many in the west, I know very little about Islam, so thank you for this video. It sounds like there was a lot of infighting over political power in the early days. It also sounds like the Shia have a strong reason to feel like Ali got seriously ripped off-- first on Muhammad's death, and then in the killing of his descendants. My question is why is there such conflict between Sunni and Shia today? Are there major *doctrinal* differences in their views on God/Allah, or how Muslims should live?
My personal view is that a) it's a tragedy-- and an insult to the Creator-- for his children to kill each other over their beliefs, and b) this killing is a far greater crime than worshipping the "wrong way." But this seems like an even bigger tragedy if the core reason Sunni and Shia fight and kill each other is over the actions of power-hungry leaders hundreds of years ago. Thank you for any answers here-- I'm asking in good faith.

amazing that this man knows more history than probably half of our own sunni and shia brothers. I want to try to make a logical statement and I don't want to argue too much with the brothers but doesn't it make sense that god would leave a successor after our beloved prophet (S.A.W.S) to protect the message of our beloved messenger? If god didn't leave an appointed successor, do you not think that the message would have been altered like the message of our previous beloved prophets e.g Isa (Jesus). Now think this through, Allah the all knowing would know that if he did not appoint a successor the message will change like the message of Isa (A.S), so what does he do, the all knowing Allah knows that on the prophets last miraj, he will need to appoint a successor to prevent the message from being altered, so what does he do? he decides to appoint a leader from among the muslims, Allah decides the person most suitable to carry along the true message of Islam, who would be Ali ibn Abu Talib. The man who was born in the cleanest place (Kaaba), spent the most time with the prophet, was there with the messenger of allah the most out of all the sahabas, married to one of the purest of women (Fatima (A.S)) the prophets daughter. Was it all a coincedence?, or was it all of allahs plan? Ill end it with this. surah 8 verse 30
( when the faithless plotted against you to take you captive, they plotted and allah devised and allah is the best of devisers).
no matter how many times the enemies of allah try to destroy Islam, true Islam will never perish but true islam will be practiced by few percentage of people. Dont spread hatred and remembet the time will come when Isa (A.S) and imam mehdi will bring the truth to the world. Be vary of the day oh fellow muslims, be prepared. Salam alleykum.

His son, Hasan was poisoned by Mowavia. There many smaller points, but the point that is very important. The Shia belief is that as Mohummad was the "Prophet", "Rasool by divine right so the successor of Mohummad is also a divine choice. That is the key contention. The Shia believe that Mohummad did not decide who his successor was, he announced what was the Divine anointment at Ghadeer-e-Khum. Thank you for your hard work.

I really don't get people who claim to be Muslim and yet are so ignorant about their own religion. Islam doesnt mean peace. It is not a pacifist religion. Islam = surrender to the will of Allah (swt). Salam= peace.
Muslims need to prioritize learning about our religion because it is a requirement.
Just a point of order..carry on

Nice presentation, some in-accurate statements, Ali’s army being over zealous and the aggressor is an heinous statement and false. Ali pleaded before the fight to stop the war in Jamal and buried his opponents and had a funeral for them. The war in siffen, the war was won by Ali, yet he stopped it when Mauwiya camp said let’s have a peace treaty which was bogus but saved Mauwiya’s skin.
After these wars and another one against the khawaraj, they (khawaraj) were the over zealous ones and broke away from Imam Ali for having a peace treaty and ended up fighting Ali. In 3.5 years of Ali ‘Caliphate’ he fought three wars, for this reason his son Hasan (as) didn’t want to enter a 4th war and negotiated a peace treaty. Peace treaty isn’t giving in, this type of peace treaty was done with the Prophet Mohammed (s) from a position of strength and not weakness. Also keep in mind Mauwiya and Yazid were sons of Abu Sufyan and Hind (staunch enemies from Islam and only converted to Islam after defeat and not to be outcast in Arabia.

Y would people think Muhammed would ever want his family attacked, and such violence to spread after his death between the people he cared about most? Prophets are supposed to be special people and u don't just pass down control if he was truly the one why wouldn't they just follow his teachings and leave it at that? Is there no form of Islam that just stops at Muhammed and doesn't get involved with what seems to be pure politics and just try to live based on the teaching of their actual prophet and nobody else?

Fatima died six months after the prophet pbuh died. So literally, she died more than 1 year before Abu bakr died and you're telling me she did not talk to the 3 caliphs ??? She didn't even know who will become Caliph next. Also, why does she need to talk to them? None of them were her Mahram (blood related, brother, father, son), so she's not supposed to be around them. She was known about them because they did not give the hazrat ali his right,,
      On the occarion of bayyatt,
Hazrat umar burned the door of fatima sa, and the burning door fell over her ribs and her coming son(those name comes as Mohsin in books) killed..
Fatima zehra was seriously injured and this became the reason of her death,,

The people who attacked on Ali's party were speaking the slogans that they're the people of Aisha.

If Shias believed that descendants of Muhammed should be the next leaders of the Muslim community, then why did they want Ali to be the leader even though he was Muhammed's son in law, which means means he is not related to him?
