Plenty of extra biblical evidence for Jesus having come in the flesh, lots of prophecy concerning his life death and resurrection in the old testament as well, check out Isaiah 53, Psalm 22.. Jesus did not come to start a new religion. Jesus is often thought of as the founder of Christianity, but, in fact, Jesus did not decree a new religion. The term “christian” was a derogatory term that eventually some believers began to apply to themselves. Jesus, however, was ushering in a Kingdom movement that was intended to begin with and stay with the Jews and extend to the gentiles. Paul, our most eminent theologian, never uses the word christian, never refers to himself or anyone else as a christian, and never calls any of the churches he writes to christians. That would be historically inaccurate. Even non-christian historians would say that the crucifixion is one of the most certain historical facts. We have accounts of the crucifixion in all gospels, and even outside the Bible. To argue that he appeared t be crucifed is just silly and there is no historical evidence to substantiate that claim.

I'll do my best, but I would appreciate it if you gave me your best arguments for atheism as well. I personally have 4 key reasons for believing. The first three are totally debatable and most people laugh them off, but having studied what I have at 3 different universities (not Christian universities in case you were wondering), I remain convinced that they point towards the Christian God: 1. The evidence of design in creation, which science continues to uncover 2. The historical proof for the resurrection of Jesus Christ 3. The preservation and self-consistency of the Bible 4. This one's entirely personal; I cannot back it up except to say that those who know me could testify to it: Christ has completely changed my life. I know this sounds crazy, but he's as real to me as the person in the room with me right now. He's real, he's alive, and I know him like a friend. He has literally transformed me, the way I think, feel and act, the things I care about and my entire worldview. It's impossible to overstate the difference he has made in my life, and my 'unbelieving' friends would be the first to affirm this. I really don't know how to articulate it. That would be historically inaccurate. Even non-christian historians would say that the crucifixion is one of the most certain historical facts. We have accounts of the crucifixion in all gospels, and even outside the Bible.
To argue that he appeared t be crucifed is just silly and there is no historical evidence to substantiate that claim.

The existence of God cannot necessarily be rationalized or proved. It can only be revealed after a trial of faith. If you really want to know that he exists, you must have the desire to believe. Then you must act by searching the scriptures and praying. Only then will you know whether he exists or not. John 7:17 says that if any man do His will, the doctrine will be revealed. I hope this makes sense.

I personally have 4 key reasons for believing. The first three are totally debatable and most people laugh them off, but having studied what I have at 3 different universities (not Christian universities in case you were wondering), I remain convinced that they point towards the Christian God:
1. The evidence of design in creation, which science continues to uncover
2. The historical proof for the resurrection of Jesus Christ
3. The preservation and self-consistency of the Bible
4. This one's entirely personal; I cannot back it up except to say that those who know me could testify to it: Christ has completely changed my life. I know this sounds crazy, but he's as real to me as the person in the room with me right now. He's real, he's alive, and I know him like a friend. He has literally transformed me, the way I think, feel and act, the things I care about and my entire worldview. It's impossible to overstate the difference he has made in my life, and my 'unbelieving' friends would be the first to affirm this. I really don't know how to articulate it.
