Waaait. The audio book for Butcher and Blackbird sounds so good!! I mainly read audio so I love when there are unique elements like this! 🖤💗

YESSS if you're an audiobook girlie like me then you will LOVE it 🥰audiobooks are my favourite too and this is genuinely one of the best I have read! Probably the best ever actually (not including full-cast readings or the dramatic performance ones)
IKR it's so annoying like if that's in a book it instantly ruins my experience!

No fr like I'm SO glad I waited for the audiobook it was QUALITY! I hope more series start to play around with that performance style too!
HONESTLY I RECOMMEND THAT like every few lines I swear I would cringe or flinch at something, I wanted a thoughtful but calming fun summer-y read and this just was NOT that 😬
Oop yeah I think you are right those last two books might not be the vibe🙃 But I was intrigued right away by how much longer the Five Borken Blades video chapter was and after your discussion it totally seems like it is worth a read. I will keep in mind the advice to not read the audiobook though because I think I would be so frustrated reading it!

Yeah look i definitely had some gripes but overall it was so much fun to read i'm still thinking about it to this day! I 100% recommend giving it a go especially if you go in with appropriate expectations around the more shallow instalove, etc.!
I started the Murderbot Diaries! Just the first one as an audiobook while I'm running around, walking my dog and doing my nightly skin care. Absolutely LOVE it, it's definitely a pretty easy sci-fi read to pick up. 😍But also, I have no idea where the plot is going so I'm just here for a ride 😂 YESS, Butcher & Blackbird enjoyers!!! I was so afraid of starting it because the synopsis does sound a bit cheesy but the execution???? SPECTACULAR 🔥 I've heard nothing but good things about the audiobook!! Now i feel like I'm missing out because I kind of just binged it without even needing the audiobook to help sub in some lost time 😂🥹 The narration sounds SO good. Now I need another TBR list for all the books that I need to reread 🥴
I'm most definitely going to be buying Villains are Destined to Die once they publish it. I NEED it in my possession. The artwork is too spectacular to not have! Honestly, I've been looking into book-binding and I think it'd be super fun to book bind some of the Korean web novels 👀But I haven't committed to any single one yet HAHA.
Ahhh your discussion about 5 Broken Blades make me so excited to start it!! I wish they didn't force a relationship onto them but I guess since it's marketed as romantasy they feel the need to pair everyone off 😅EVERYONE GETS A HAPPY ENDING-ish. I wonder if it's because it's set in Korea... they didn't find many voice actors to fit the role? 😩 I wonder if they just haven't done enough research?

YES OMG that is how I started it too! It was SUCH an easy read (especially for Sci-Fi) and I'm so glad I gave it a go! DW I was JUST as lost with the plot initially haha but I was there for the ~vibes~ 😂No because why are we the same!! The synopsis DID sound very cheesy but it was the total opposite of that like it was only ever cheesy in the best possible way! Best expectation vs. reality ever!!!🥰 That is so wise, a re-read TBR is GENIUS! But yes if you do a re-read at some point I SO recommend the audiobook I already want to listen to it again rn and Butcher's Irish accent was 🥵🥵🥵 hahah
I KNOW after reading it in physical copy from my library I realised how much I desperately need it! I own the Korean language edition of the novel so maybe that's my excuse to 'complete my collection' hahah. But woah stop HOLD UP that is so cool!! I always watch book binding videos because it is so calming and looks so fun, that would be so cool if you gave it a go! Especially with Korean web novels if you made a video of that I would be SAT!!
Honestly I think I was just harsh on the relationships because the rest of the novel was SO GOOD! I think it was just one relationship that was very forced but eh i guess they're cute like it wasn't the WORST, just not the best. But overall I feel like you will love it!!! Yeah that's so bizarre to me too I feel like maybe it was a lack of research and of course it didn't ruin the experience it was just a weird immersion breaking moment (kind of like how I imagine scientists feel when books/shows whip out some weird and incredibly inaccurate science-y stuff to save the day ahaha)
NO BECAUSE WHY WOULD A CHILD BE THERE? nah haha like when it's done well it WORKS like in Elsie Silver's second book in Chestnut Springs called Heartless there is a kid that is written like a kid and takes up the amount of page time that a kid should. Why do some books write them like mini adults that are like 6 years old but are super wise and want to force the love interests together it's so weirdddd 😢
@@love.lauren... I really want to see Butcher & Blackbird do like a TV Show/Movie/Cameo in Criminal Minds because I loooove true crime, crime shows, all that good stuff. I think the audiobook might satisfy that itch 😂 I'm so sad that I didn't get to experience it via audio!! But a little traumatized; I feel like it's either done REALLY well or just 💀💀 I mean you've experienced it first hand HAHAHA.
YESSS, the only problem with having physical copies of the manhwa is the amount of space it will take might be unreal. But that's a problem for future us ✨✨ I've been watching them too! And they all seem so relaxing but I KNOW I would be anything be relaxed. It'd probably be chaotic af with me trying to figure out how anything works 😂 BUT it definitely seems like a fun process with minimal investment needed? AKA just printing, sewing it together, then gluing? The hardest part might be the cover but I guess we'll see when I do it 🥴
You make me so excited to pick it up. I definitely need to considering I purchased the physical copy of it 😂So glad I did though, because now I have a pretty book on my shelf that I'll probably (most definitely) enjoy. Bargain hunter Mimi strikes gold again 👹
Yeah, usually when I see a kid in the series, I dip out so fast 🥴 I find that they don't fit the stories most of the time; I also really hate pregnancy trope SO much 😭But also it's a big reason why I didn't reaaally like Villainess Turns the Hourglass at first LOL, but they resolved it real quick with her growing up
I have a feeling you’d like my happy marriage!! it sounds a tad bit similar in vibe to the kings beast but it is quite dark. Damn tho, just when I thought I’d start the kings beast they gotta get problematic lol thanks for the heads up 🫡
see i've been meaning to watch/read it but a lot of people said it was boring?? but maybe they just don't have taste, did you watch or read it? It was high on my list but then i got scared i wouldn't like it haha!
Yeah....i'm so disappointed! I'm too deep in to pull back now but I was like WHY THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THAT instantly soured my opinion of it
