The matching outfits were not planned but were a perfect aesthetic for this song. Paint it Black by the Rolling stones is Burch's favorite and thought it could be Alexis's theme song. @TheRollingStones #rollingstones #stones #paintitblack #60smusic

From what I remember Alexis is a Wednesday Addams Fan, and in the 1st episode of Wednesday where she is playing her Cello on the Roof, she is doing a Version of Paint it Black, played on the Cello it’s such a Great Cover!
I think she does a Metallica piece also?

This is the lament of a guy who has just lost his love to death. The line of cars is the funeral procession complete with the flowers 'never to come back'. If I look hard enough into the setting sun, my love will laugh with me before the morning comes. Death happens every day just like the birth of 'the newborn baby'.

Brian Jones' sitar work on this song is what makes it so different than most Stones songs. Even though the song is not about the Vietnam war, it's easy to see why Vietnam vets were drawn to the song because they experienced the death and depression that the song represents. I'm 66 but these guys make me feel young and it's hard to believe they are touring again in 2024, even though they are in their late 70's and early 80's. 🙏✌️

When the videogame "Twisted Metal Black" came out, they broke the formula with the title by not numbering it. Before the game came out I wondered why they went with Black instead of 4.
I walked over to Walmart to buy it when it came out and as I walked home I had a thought, "wouldn't it be cool if they incorporated Paint it Black into the game somehow?" I had really become a fan of the song from previously watching the movie "Stir of Echoes." Almost obsessed haha.
Got home and popped the game into my playstation and that oh so familiar guitar rift from the beginning of the song came out of the tv. I literally had shivers come across my body. It was perfect.

Sitar is an indian musical instrument. shared from wiki :- The sitar is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument was invented in medieval India, flourished in the 18th century, and arrived at its present form in 19th-century India. Khusrau Khan, an 18th-century figure of the Mughal Empire has been identified by modern scholarship as the inventor of the sitar. According to most historians, he developed the sitar from the setar, an Iranian instrument of Abbasid or Safavid origin. Another view supported by a minority of scholars is that Khusrau Khan developed it from Veena.
Used widely throughout the Indian subcontinent, the sitar became popularly known in the wider world through the works of Ravi Shankar, beginning in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The advent of Psychedelic culture during the mid- to late 1960s created a trend for the use of the sitar in Western popular music, with the instrument appearing on tracks by bands such as the Beatles, the Doors, the Rolling Stones and others.

In the beginning, the Stones only covered blues classics. At one point, their then manager locked Keith and Mick in a room and would not let them out until they had written an original song. Satisfaction was the result. The Beatles did covers too but were writing their own songs from the beginning. The Beatles and the Stones were pals too. They coordinated the releases of their records so as not to impact the other’s sales. Keith Richards is on record as saying John and George were “lovely guys”. So much for their rivalry.

While i'm a fan of both the Beatles and the Stones , i like the Beatles more cause stylistically they covered a lot more ground in a far shorter career span. They went from Love Me Do to Sgt. Pepper in six years and recorded it with a four track recorder. Mind blowing progress in such a short period. Also Alexis black and white are considered neutrals with red , yellow & blue as primary colors. Orange , green & purple are secondary colors.

The "Are You Beatles or Rolling Stones?" was just a marketing ploy by the Stones manager. In reality both bands friendly with each other. The Beatles even wrote a song for the Stones.

And it’s funny that she says it sounds like something from the Pirates of the Caribbean well Keith Richards was actually in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies 😄🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Love the channel. Sympathy for the Devil imho would have been a better gateway Stones Song. perhaps one of the greatest lyrics every written for rock.

My personal opinion is that there is no darker, extreme lyrics than “I wanna see the Sun blotted out from the sky”.

Earth shattering song. US Hays Production Code was still in effect, reqiring movies to have short kisses and a happy ending. Goth, Emo, and Doom Metal wouldn't have existed without it ... Black Sabbath would gave been touch and go.

If I remember. Mick jagger 's girlfriend was in a really bad car accident and nearly died .
He wrote the song while she was in the hospital and they weren't Shue she was going to live for awhile.

MY favorite color is black and gray. Guys, react to the latest Beatle song "Then and Now". The making of it is also wonderful to see.
