Great power band with amazing, soaring vocals. They raise the spirit and blow right through you and make you elated to keep it going. Their first album, with these songs on it, shook the rock world. Every song a hit!
Wow, Sarah. Such a beautiful and passionate reaction. Boston was definitely an epic band. They took the airwaves by storm with both of their first albums. They're honestly wasn't a week track on either. I just love watching you. ♥️
I was in 9th grade when this came out (possibly 10th). Seems like it was late winter. In our pre-internet, pre-MTV world, word about this first album spread like fire through schools in our area. Everybody was buying the album (vinyl) in the first week or two it was out. We never tired of listening to it - and there was a LOT of good music at that time. My age doubled, exactly, from when the 70’s began until they ended; I was 10 when it began and 20 when it ended. What a sea change in *everything* those years brought about. Such great enthusiasm and joy you have, Sarah. Thank you.
Brings back great memories. I got the album when it came out on a quadraphonic record played 4 channels on my Sansui receiver so loud the whole house vibrated, my parents thought i would go deaf.
Great reaction. You're hooked now. You'll be enjoying Boston music for the rest of your life. Be sure to pass it along to the next generation of youngsters when you get a bit older. You'll enjoy their reaction every bit as much as we're enjoying yours now. Great music does that, and Boston's debut album was full of great music.
Boston Is Indeed Pure Gold !!! Still I would offer you the live version of the Moody Blues ( Nights in White Satin 🎶🎵) With orchestra. !!! Like Button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁
This album was released in 1976, it’s a Great album but the band was short lived. I was sixteen and saw them play in the Hollywood Sportatorium. ( Florida )
This song(s) is from Boston's 1976 debut album which had a bunch of hit songs and is one of the best selling debut albums of all time, with ~30 million copies sold worldwide. The mastermind behind the album was Tom Scholz, who wrote all the songs (except one), played all the guitar, bass and keyboard parts and recorded and produced the album in his basement just outside of Boston (except for one song recorded in California). Some of the guitar sounds were never heard before this album because Tom designed and handmade the electronic effects (he has a masters degree in mechanical engineering from MIT in Boston). All the incredible lead and harmony vocals were done by Brad Delp (RIP), who was of the greatest male rock vocalists. I grew up in the same town as Brad (Danvers, MA) and my oldest brother graduated high school with him. He was a huge Beatles fan (his high school quote was "Have you heard the new Beatles album"?) and he had a side band called Beatlejuice that did all Beatles covers. He unfortunately suffered from chronic depression and tragically committed suicide several years ago, with a note pinned to his shirt that said "je suis une âme solitaire" (I am a lonely soul). Immediately after his death, the Boston band website was changed to just a black page with white lettering that said "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll".
This was such an amazing group...and live concerts...the Hammond pipe organ setup was legendary. Amanda from Third Stage will always be my favorite song from Boston, but this is a close second.
Boston is a great American rock band who had their biggest success in the 70's-80's. They had a lot of great songs such as "Peace Of Mind", "Rock & Roll Band", "Don't Look Back", "A Man I'll Never Be", "Feelin' Satisfied", Smokin'", "We're Ready", "Amanda", "Hitch A Ride", "Hollyann", "Cool The Engines" etc.
I really enjoy listening to you talk and giving your opinion about things and songs. You have a tremendous personality 🥰🥰🥰🥰 and you're also a very gorgeous woman 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Probabilmente sono uno dei pochi italiani che ascolta i Boston, erano il gruppo preferito di mia mamma, li ascoltavo da piccolo con le cuffie dal vinile LP. Per me sono ancora oggi il meglio del rock di quei tempi.
Don't Look Back next please!, off their second album. Their first album was impossible to follow, and they came back with this anthem to make the impossible happen again!
Boston !!! - Foreplay/long time. - Great pick But their whole 1st album is great. They can get down and rock. - Favorites besides this one - Detroit Rock City. - Smokin' - Rock and Roll Band. - and their 1st hit - More Than a Feeling. BTW I will never forget when More Than a Feeling was constantly being played on the radio because another song that was also being play was the theme song from the TV show The Rockford Files.
Hey Sarah, great reaction video as always. I love Boston, but thought you should know, during your video, at 6:25 there's an interesting effect from your graphics. It appears that a fly is waved away by you at the same time that your graphics show some effects. The timing is kind of cool, if you notice stuff like that. Please, keep sending us this quality content! Loving it!
They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. More’s the pity. I feel sorry for the kids these days. Best popular music ever was made between about 1967 to 1990. The wide variety alone was ridiculous. And you heard them playing on the radio all across the country when released, so it was like a nationwide shared song fest. Those days are gone. SO glad I grew up back then.
"music therapy" Awesome reaction, special people feel music swim through their DNA
Growing up in the 70's was pure magic. Thank you for appreciating the music.
The entire debut Boston album is great and one of the most successful debut rock albums in history.
“This is pure magic”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. 🎸🎸🎸
That whole album is great.

A delightful lady listening to a delightful song from my youth - how delightful!
I like to think the person who suggested Boston, one of the greatest rock and roll band of the 70s.
This is actually my favorite Boston song. A timeless banger.

Don't Look Back and A Man I'll Never Be...both brilliant songs.

I saw Boston live in the fall of 1978 with 3 college buddies. It was my first concert and it was great!
My gosh, Brad Delp another one of those we have lost to suicide! His voice is unmatched! He was the voice of Boston! So sadly missed!
Gave me chills seeing you get chills!
One of a kind music IMO. ❤

Really!!! You had no thought for "More Than A Feeling"? Arguably the best solo project ever undertaken by any musician...
@@sabiantheomnivore5592 Sarah did "More Than A Feeling" over a year ago. That is why I did not include it in the list.

The 8-trac tapes that got worn out in the 70's listen to this. I have the CD today. Timeless.
Love your reaction. 👍🌹

If you like Boston. You should try stryper. The lead singer of stryper also sings for Boston
Michael Sweet left Boston over three years ago.
@@mikeedens4828 he’s still a stellar singer, which was my point
Try reacting to KANSAS - Magnum Opus
