18 years after this album was released, Brad Delp (the lead vocalist) decided to headline a group called "BeatleJuice". It was something he did for fun. All they did was play covers of Beatles songs. But they were such incredibly great musicians that it was a privilege to hear them play. In 2005 I ran a road race in Boston and afterwards the race director had hired BeatleJuice to play. We all sat there for hours listening to these incredible musicians just crush covers of some of the greatest songs ever written. With free beer not less. We should all be so lucky
Keep in mind ONE man who could play piano, decided at 18 to learn guitar while attending MIT. By 21 he had built his own music studio in his basement, hired a man to play drums and another to sing. Everything else you hear is him. He wrote the music, played every instrument but one, recorded and edited the music. By 22 years old he had to hire more musicians to play his parts to have a stage show...they filled stadiums out the gate with this album

(You 2 are adorable.)
The only thing better than hearing this is hearing it as a teenager when it first came out. (Life changer)
First album I ever bought when was 13
Keep in mind ONE man who could play piano, decided at 18 to learn guitar while attending MIT.
I think Tom was 29 when he got the contract and he DID NOT sing, that was Brad Delp.
This song was released in 1976. No autotune no special post-production wizadry just pure talent. They don't write them like this anymore there really aren't any bands like This Anymore. Did you happen to notice that all of the spaceships are actually guitars? I really love your reactions
There are very talented and Technical people out there still, they just don't get the recognition they deserve.
The most complete and best debut album ever produced, in my opinion. Every one a classic....and an experience.
The "trick" of this album is it was created layer by layer by layer, slowly and methodically over countless hours by a genius.
The whole album was a MASTERPIECE!
Imagine hearing this stoned as a teenager. I don’t know if you guys can get that or ever tried it. It’s a whole new level with headphones. I’m not sure you could handle it. It would be very fun to watch, that’s for sure! It was standard procedure for us. Especially live! The concerts were what it was all about! It was a hellava scene! What you guys are experiencing is what we’ve done for decades! Glad you found it! You will never be the same. You are certified Headbangers now. Welcome bro’s.
I well remember those daze, Phil! 😎
Boston's first album is arguably the greatest debut album in the history of recorded music. Every song is a gem.
The album cover is an upside down guitar..
Cheers from USA 🇺🇸
😎
Boston, PHENOMENAL group!! HIGHLY underrated and tragically overlooked!! Exceptional vocalist and extremely talented and intelligent guys!! You should look into their beginnings/history.... Recommend: "Peace Of Mind" next. This whole album is groundbreaking (IMO). Keep riding the Boston train! Love seeing your appreciate for the music. Peace bros....
Now guys, just imagine BEING there with 50k plus other screaming fans. Air guitar was not optional! I can't believe that was nearly 50 years ago. I feel so blessed to have grown up in the real music era.
at 3:45, it takes your breath away
"Peace Of Mind". Love the Boston reactions!
When that lead guitar hit going into Long Time, you my friends experienced an eargasm. 😎
Some of the best music was made in the 70s. A great time to grow up.
When music WAS music!
Every damned song on their first album was just as good
You need to listen to Boston's first album, song by song, in order. It's a masterpiece!
Oh yes. If you’ve never heard then.... they’ll take you somewhere else. I listened to them in me headphones every day as a kid. SO MANY SOUNDS! And such musical talent! Thank you!
15 year old me....with headphones on.....listening to this song over and over on vinyl. It made a huge difference on an entire generation....the riffs, the vocals, the guitars, organ and bass. Loved them then, and love them still. Great reaction bros!!
I was graduating college the year this record came out...In BOSTON!!! All over the radio....all over the city!
The 70's was a great time for music! There was a band to fit whatever mood you were in...hard to soft ....It was so great! (this includes Simon and Garfunkel..so many great songs)❤️
Boston's first album is a true classic !!!! Every song is awesome!!! Masterpiece.....................
The largest selling debut album of all time, up to that time (1976).
Masterpiece. Yes exactly the right word for this song.
I'm 65 and saw this band in Amarillo, TX. They sounded as good live as they did on their recordings. What an amazing concert it was!
Your reaction is everybody’s reaction the first time they hear Foreplay/Long Time. It’s “a masterpiece” indeed, as is the entire album - in my opinion, the greatest debut album in Rock History. Can’t wait for the next Boston “experience”.
This entire album is a masterpiece. PERIOD!
These guys at their range, in harmony.....saw them live in 1981. Great song, great reaction! My personal fav from this band is Feelin Satisfied.
Rock on ! ❤️🎼🤘😎
today, bands would make three songs from the riffs and choruses of this one song.
Boston's debut album is all killer and no filler. I hope you will listen to every track. Hitch a Ride is my favourite.
It's been such a "long time" for this 63 year-old I forgot how great this album is. Thanks for the revisit.
The whole album is amazing!..
I was lucky enough to see Boston 3 times in Boston in the 1970's. What a great band! R.I.P Brad Delp
