Thank you for doing this correctly. I see to many channels not using joinery. They butt joint and use pocket screws. This board will last a lifetime. Great job.

Great build and a beautiful table man! Just wanted to share one technique I've used in the past, that you could very well already know about cutting out a recess like you did around 3:50. After you make the border cuts with a circular saw as you did, instead of breaking out the router, I prefer simply making relief cuts between the two lines and knocking it out with a hammer. There is a little bit more cleanup work, but for me personally it more than makes up for it in time with the router. Both ways get the job done just as well, I just wanted to take a moment and share a different technique that's worked well for me in the past. In any case it looked like excellent, precise work and you've definitely earned a new subscriber.
Love the router table technique to prevent blow out when you run it through. I am going to run that from now on. Much easier than holding on to two boards.
I was going to build one of these as my next project. Watching this has convinced me I’m not ready yet :-(. That said, watching you dry fit those tenons! Must have been very satisfying! Very impressive work!
I'm still pretty new at this, so I really appreciate all of the explanations. I had no idea how 'wood spoiled' I was until watching this... In New Hampshire (US) I'm surrounded by maples! I also had never heard of a dado stack, let alone their being illegal in some places. Theres not much that's illegal in NH ('live free or die' state). But since I don't own one its nice to see the lower tech alternative. Thanks!
Love the video ! Awesome Craftsmanship !the leg detail is great I’m hoping to build one inmy next home my idea is to put it inthe Dining room and have a tabletop feature that will make it work as a buffet style table ,I have a large extended family and entertain often it would be a good way to set up Chafing Dishes to keep foods warm
Great Job! I started off very ambitious wanting to make one before your video. I decided I'm getting lazy in my old age, going to have to switch to corn hole. Couple boards, beers, 6"holes.
I’ve wanted a shuffleboard for years, and now have the room, so I’ve been checking out models, prices, etc. However, after watching you build this one, I’m going to build my own! Standing by for your website and the plans. Thanks for the inspiration, and kudos to you on your woodworking skills Are!
Are Baloni That would be great! I am pretty sure between the sketchup and your video (and tips on the McClure System), I can make it happen. My email is billyday53@gmail.com . Looking foreward to getting started on my own shuffleboard - well, as soon as I finish my workshop in my new place. Takk så mye!
Good Morning from the NC (USA)!mountains Are! Was just watching your workbench video (Pt II), and remembered your offer to email the sketchups you used for the shuffleboard table. Sorry to bug you again, but was hoping you could email them to me? If you posted them, I’m sure others would appreciate it! I would not mind one bit if you were to sell them on your site, either! Enjoy watching you at work and your techniques. Keep filming my friend!
They used to have these shuffle boards in pubs years ago. Some had lights & score boards that never seemed to be operational. The trick is to find a Bowling Alley that is going to be torn down. Or an old Roller Skating Rink. (Man, I'm old.) Trouble then becomes cutting Rock Maple w/hardened steel fasteners inbeded in it.
I’ve been waiting for a good shuffleboard table build! Thank you! I am about to build one out of eastern red cedar and white oak for the back porch. Also, you should do the awkward wave at the end of all your videos. Lol
@@AreBaloni Hi Are, I saw in the comments of this build, that you have the sketch up file that you used for this shuffleboard build, could you send me a copy? send it to mazda04rx816@gmail.com. I would really appreciate it. I am a wood worker (hobby) in Derry, NH USA and loved watching your build. I do not have much more equipment that you do, but with your example, I am excited to get on with my build.
Great project and video. I have been wanting to make a shuffleboard for a long time, but always assumed it would be too difficult, you have really simplified this project, and I mean that as a compliment. Excellent work. Cheers.
I’ve been wanting build one for along a long wall we have for years...my wife says “no, maybe when have a house with a bonus/game room.” With this design, I may just pull it off sooner. Thanks!
Great build, you got my sub. I work in a cabinet shop for some of our color inlays for our golf customers. For that black We dye our resin and with a decent amount of catalyst. This reduces the bleedthrough effect on the wood.
You are an expert, not only on shuffleboards, but also on how to make a video!!!
Thank you for doing this correctly. I see to many channels not using joinery. They butt joint and use pocket screws. This board will last a lifetime. Great job.
