Boy, that first mitre glue-up this fits the old saying: "too many cooks spoil the soup!" You guys had us all laughing...like it never happed to us noobs as well.
hey Keith and crew, great build and video. one question (really 2): how did you remove the temporary clamping buttresses that you used for the miters (the ones that you CA-glued on), and doesn't it leave damage or glue residue or something that would affect the finishing later on? please advise, thanks!
They knocked right off. You always want to use a caul that is a softer material than what you are gluing to and they pop right off. Sometimes they leave some fibers behind, but luckily our plywood cauls didn’t even splinter when knocked off, so there was no cleanup. Just a light sanding

Keith, new to the channel. Great video. I have just purchased a festool DF 500 and have a domino question. Instead of the 1 10x100 and 1x50, Would 2 - 10x50s have worked on the leg assembly?
Hey Jason! That potentially could’ve worked, but when you have the big domino, you utilize it. Since those legs were holding up such a heavy top, the more strength you can get into that joint the better.
Watched both of y’all’s videos on this and it was awesome! Great work as always. I’ve watched a few other shuffle table build videos and they all put metal bars under the table that would allow them to concave the top a bit to keep the pucks on the table better.
