I dont know why, but there is something so romatic and authentic about those old run down, original italian citys. Where a city looks like it did 1000s of years ago, even with parts falling apart.. its odd but It has a real beauty and charm to it
I like this property very much. I think open the ceilings to reveal their beauty should be addressed at first, then electrical and water, kitchen and bathrooms. I would cleanup and paint and tile the terraces with lighting and an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven. Where car was sitting I might make a garage. Oh I really like this building.
I love your content! Food! History! Art and architecture! Everything that makes Italy so special. I’m completing a renovation in Umbria. Maybe I’ll head to Puglia next!
Lovely town. I love the ceilings and can totally imagine the roof terraces made good, they would be beautiful. The lack of windows would put me off ever living in that house, even done up. Another great video 🙂
I was born in Mola bi Bari,, I’ve been back to Italy a few times I came to America when I was six years old, now I’m 67 years old and I’m thinking about going to live in Puglia for maybe four months a year, I feel right at home there
Like your edit and every little thing you shared along the way to go see a property. It's a total new way of sharing a property searching tour! You make a boring property tour interesting and full of your identity! Thanks!
hi there, Maglie is next to my town, Scorrano. It's the area with the best connection in the province, you can easily get to the 4 cardinal points in Salento (lecce, otranto, santa maria di leuca and gallipoli), plus there is the train station for each of those cities. Maglie is a shopping town and it's quite vibrant in summertime but never overcrowded. I hope you'll get your house there. you can explore specchia, it would be amazing for your filming style.
Great job giving us all the aspects. I can see myself there, if living in the city was my goal. I really like you providing pictures of what can be done. Especially in the basement. I would not have thought of a Spa area. But that is a fabulous idea!
Just a note...the well is actually under the exterior stairs. And the output from the stove is above the long room so it's not connected to anything in the house.
I hope to see a video like this on my home town, Alessano, one day. It was once a very important city, with an episcopal see, so a Bishop, which is reflected in the beauty of our main church and a ducal palace where the lords of Alessano would reside, and amongst those lords there was also the famous Gonzaga family. We are located in the middle of the Capo di Leuca and we even incorporated once the see of leuca becoming the episcopal see of Alessano-Leuca
Another great video. I really like that you show ideas of what the space would look if renovated. Could you also give an idea of what it would cost to renovate the space. Not an exact number obviously, just an idea…
Oh my gosh, I am totally addicted to your videos dreaming of my home somewhere in Italy. I’m hoping you venture into the Tuscan valley because I’m kind of leaning toward that only because I am from San Francisco Bay area and Sonoma County Napa, our version of a very, very Small Tuscany
Hi, love your content, and since I’m from the same region i hope you find what your looking for in life and catch the real essence of this places: slow life, real food, friendly people Good luck 🍀
Excellent work, someone is a photographer. Heading to the boot heal in February, looking at homes, would love some help. Maybe, I’m going to stay in Ostuni initially. Would love to make some visits to some villas.
Lovely video of a beautiful property with so much potential. You asked for a suggestion for a future video. Please consider perhaps a visit to Palmariggi?
Amazing content. To answer your question: I'd love to see more (small) detached houses with some agricultural developments around: a small vineyards, lemon gardens, or olive trees.
Salento has a very good bus system. Tap the bus symbol in each borgo to see the time schedule. The rail system is slow but good. Salento is made for bike riding. Be aware if you are purchasing property and there is no AC I would recommend a unit with at least five windows. Many units since they are barrel shaped lack sufficient ventilation and you will cook in the summer. Many properties lack a good kitchen. The ubiquitous IKEA kitchens are the norm. Salento has the real estate prices in Italy.
I would like to see a seacity or village by the sea.. or a place where you can walk to a nice beach for swimming … sort of a dreamplace if it is a City where things are not sleeping but people work and things work well without the need for a car.
It’s a gorgeous property with amazing potential. I can’t see spending €83,000 on this property as many comparable properties are selling for this price already completely restored.
Beautiful, lot of potential, although I did notice some water damage on the ceilings that need to be taken care of. OOps, I just noticed this was a year ago. I wonder what it looks like now. Does it look the way you had imagined it??
Love the content and the finished ideas and potential. Only thing missing is a rough very basic estimate/cost of making it inhabitable. If it’s a hundred thousand or a million
I always enjoy your posts. Such a relaxed nd balanced presentation of the property and a (literal) taste of its surrounding culture. I somehow got a speeding ticket the last time I was in Maglie and will likely never know how or why. Questa è l'Italia. 😅 Is anyone going to mention the Panda in the bedroom? 😅😅🚘🤔 Grazie amico. 🇺🇸❤🇮🇹🙏
I didn't like the layout and shape of this one as much as others you have viewed. It had some interesting features like the wine cellar which would make an excellent spa/bathroom. The roof area was large but with no nice views.
I would love to move to Southern Italy and start a pickleball program for Italians and tourists alike. I would need to be near the water as I like to swim every day. A area with a expat community. The main issue would be getting a residency visa to live full time in Italy.
Wow, love this😍. I would like you to do a couple visit to houses or apartments that have a private courtyard where you can have beautiful fiestas and long tables with friends. Price tag from 100.000 € to 300.000 €.
Another wonderful video. The question I have is: are there people in Maglie (or surrounding areas) who can do the work to turn this apartment into a place like the AirBnB ones you showed in the videos? Neither my wife nor I have the necessary skills.Would it be difficult to hire that? And for this place, what's a VERY ROUGH guess on how much you'd spend? Another 80K? More? And again I see that the breakfast is the typical low-carb variety. 🤣
Thanks! There are some very reliable professionals who I work with in Salento who specialize in ‘remote refurbishment’! Prices can be very reasonable in this area in Italy. Low-carb isn’t for me :-D!
@@Justdreamitaly please let me know them! I live in Galatina and it's a STRUGGLE to find a "mesciu" that respect the goals (total work end date and overall quality). 😫
Could you credit the estate agencies or a link to contact the agents. We are looking to purchase a house in Puglia. Would be good to view the feature properties
Absolutely loved it. Is still for sale? Send me the agents details and the property ref number please. Thanks. Your videos are so good. Excellent filmed, explained and with culural knowledge. ❤
Interesting space, alot of damp problems i see but at the right price and investment,i reckon at least EU 50-70k could be amazing,us this one of Davides?
Are the brown patches on the ceiling & walls mold/water leaking from the roof? How do you fix something like that?... Do you have to take apart the stones to dry it all out or is there another process to fix that? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this. Curious to know the name of the see food restaurant 😊. I am lucky enough to have found my place in Galatina but I enjoy your filmi anyway!
😂 because it’s a historical building probably and you told in the earlier video that the typical local stone is used to structure the buildings. That all the damp and moist spots starting from the garage the second bedroom which you refer to have some leaking problems. Is the structure built with Roman cement also with lime extra added or is it modern cement because that’s a big difference.
Discovered your channel today, thanks so much for this great content. Very interested in Puglia and was wondering, so far you have shown mostly houses that are in the center of towns, however I'd be interested in what is available in the area maybe more focused on the view / land acres. Or is there a reason you advise 'outsiders' to settle in cities? Furthermore, what is Puglia known for, hiking, biking, watersports besides the 'normal' Italian stereotypes? Looking forward to your next videos!
Thanks 🙏! I’m a sucker for the old buildings in historic towns. I’ve seen some interesting things out there on the countryside as well… it’s all a question of preference. Perhaps for the future :-). For me Salento represents amazing beaches and rustic countryside. Personally, I love cycling around the countryside, going from town to town.
Marco your videos are very compelling. I was thinking of going to France but your excellent, informative videos are giving me second thoughts. Seriously! I will email you (I’m Stephanie, aka Pawlieblog, which is just a pen name).
Ok you definitely went to film school cause each one of your shows is a work of art!!!
Came here to say this as well. Nice production values throughout.
I think you got a little too fast. Especially showing the spaces that you redesign
Because of your channel, I’m determined to make my dream of vacation home and retirement in Puglia happen. Grazie!

Thanks so much! Umbria is amazing!
Agree, Umbria is amazing.
I love how you describe the experience you’re having in the village while you tour.
Amazing photography!! I still can’t stop thinking about the Nardo property on the square!! Thanks for showing the beautiful insides of the churches!
Lovely town. I love the ceilings and can totally imagine the roof terraces made good, they would be beautiful. The lack of windows would put me off ever living in that house, even done up. Another great video 🙂

I just booked a week in Sarento entirely due to these videos!
Love these videos. Amazing editing and composition. Always looking forward to these!
I love the potential and unique features of this property! Especially the roof top potential. And it’s only a short drive to the sea!
Very impressive vlog!! Quality content.
These videos are great! I might have to check out Maglie in September when I am there. The building has a lot of potential!

I got a little turned around in the house tour - I really liked the floor plans you did for the house in Lecce.
Another great video. I really like that you show ideas of what the space would look if renovated. Could you also give an idea of what it would cost to renovate the space. Not an exact number obviously, just an idea…
Fantastic potential. The restaurant and food just made me salivate! Thank you!
Very well presented informative stuff but it makes me hungry ! Cheers.
I’ll be heading to Puglia and the Salento area at the year. Thank you so much for your videos. Very interesting and informative!
Wow, amazing content, creativity and business mind!!! I love real estate, mediterranean style, food (wine) and culture. 😍

I love that property wow I could see me living there how far from Rome and beaches
Yes beautiful video and it is atmospheric, we stay 2 weeks in lecce and we wanted to buy a propriety in puglia. Thank Martalain

Like the gate. For privacy. Is it legal to keep your vehicle in that open space ?. Love it.....

Yep you make a really good video. Excellent job 👍🏻
The city park is also a beauty.

Thanks, it means so much!
I love that house.
Love it ♥️
Marco, I come back to visit this property every month or so. Would you ever go back to it, and show us what has been done to it?
It’s a gorgeous property with amazing potential. I can’t see spending €83,000 on this property as many comparable properties are selling for this price already completely restored.

I am interested in the Castrignano Del Capo area including Patu, Salve, Morciano de Leuca.
certainly has loads of potential
Love the content and the finished ideas and potential. Only thing missing is a rough very basic estimate/cost of making it inhabitable. If it’s a hundred thousand or a million
Thanks for the video! Would you consider doing a property just outside one of these city centers that has a small garden?
That is a great building

Going up the stairs outside. That little outdoor space us private. The floors , how old?.

Have a look to Taormina , my hometown :P
Where can I find out if this property is still available. I stumbled upon your channel and I'm in love with this home.
Send me an email to marco@justdreamitaly.com
Sent, can't wait to hear from ya about some options!
Nice place!
It's beautiful ❤️
Where do you find these gems?
What would be a good guess for reno costs for the first property? Approximately …..
Your videos are great. 33 Euros for lunch is more than my budget would allow.
Another example of the renovations costing a lot more than the purchase price. What do fully renovated equivalents sell for?
Another wonderful video. Are there any modern Italien homes maybe renovated or even build new?

Is pretty I like the high ceiling but it doesn't have a view of any mountains or any water so 😏 I like the size spacious
The man loves his food. 🙂
OK, no comment on the car in the bedroom??? How did it get there and how will you get it out???
Are there historic restrictions in the old part of Maglie?
Thank you for this. Curious to know the name of the see food restaurant 😊. I am lucky enough to have found my place in Galatina but I enjoy your filmi anyway!
Acmet Pascià it is called. 🙏
Very impressed with your videos. Definitely got a new subscriber.

Ciao! Amo i tuoi video! What about Gallipoli? Please…..🙏🏻
😉
Hello If you look at the roof and walls there are big moisture problems 🤔
I think its already sold. Do you have an other place like this?
I want that kitty!
do you plan to eventually purchase one of the properties you visit?
We would love to go to Sicily! Any properties there?
Ciao what about arpino

That’s definitely in the plans
How far can you do structural work, ex: turning that front storage room into garage taking walk way out.🇨🇦
It all depends on the town’s approval.
Still available?
How can reach you please .
Any chance of you doing these in Italian?
