This creator came out of no where, what great story telling and cinematography. Joy to watch, even when you finally buy a place, just don't stop making content, whatever it is.
Totally agree . Very well done video tours. It’s nice you not only show the property but also highlight the town and surrounding area. I would also suggest to include wether the listing is hooked up to town water and sewer. It’s a very nice listing and reasonable price. Cheers !!
I really enjoy your presentations and the properties. You have a nice way of capturing the vibe of these Italian towns. I was in Salento last Fall and is amazing. I am considering a retirement home in Sicily. Do you ever plan to explore other parts of Italy?
An Englishman living in Sicily here. We moved here in 2019 and rented for two years whilst looking for a place to buy. Seeing properties was a mixture of excitement and depression. So many nice places but many needing tens of thousand worth of work. But the potential was there. We eventually found a lovely house overlooking the sea that needed no building work - just new A/C and boiler. Good luck with your search.
I spent two weeks in this area in 2019 with a group of friends. We rented a couple cars and explored every town/city we could in those two weeks and it was incredible. I'm dying to go back as soon as I can. Great video!
One of my favourite shows of recent has been Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy and there is so much of that in this. This creator is just fantastic and it is so easy to listen to and absorb the content here, just fantastic! Keep it up!
Gorgeous! And in my favorite part of Italy! I can't believe someone didn't buy the whole thing. The fact that the two studios on the ground floor were sold separately makes it a bit less attractive. It would be amazing to have the whole thing, and to use the studios as guest rooms or for a home office or something
I stayed in one of those beautiful historical palazzos during my visit in Lecce : they are magnificent but the humidity during the summer months is unbearable !
All over Europe, and Greece, they eat tons of bread and pastries (more bread), but they really do not get fat … but in America we have a huge obesity problem. If you read the label on a loaf of bread in America, most of the things that are in that bread are not even allowed in the European Union (chemicals).
We have lots of bread and pastries, but are not necessarily eating great quantities of them and generally the size of them are small by American and I mean all the Americas standards. How people actually eat at home and in general is quite regimented in the since that there is a lot of portion control and eating in course that slows you down.
Amazing property. Fell in love with Lecce which has a restaurant with the best food in the world in my opinion. Very simple food that totally surprises with the flavour packed punch it has.
Thank you for taking me back to Lecce - a beautiful baroque city as you eloquently describe it. Wonderful properties with enormous potential. My only suggestion would be to have slower camera work but love the drawing with the tarelli(?) Looking forward to the next videos.
Sorry, a quick correction: Lecce is not Puglia's second biggest city (I'm not sure why you guys that market properties there keep saying this), Taranto has almost 200,000 inhabitants and Foggia has around 150,000...Lecce is the most touristy and surely the most attractive, but is quite small in comparison to the others that I've just mentioned
first house: what a great place! you can do so much with it - and the view is phantastic! number 2 is a bargain, but i personally would prefer more natural light. thank you so much for the videos on the real estate in that beautiful area!
Che bellezza! Great, lush video. It’s my dream to find a place to retire in Italy. I’ve been to lots of places there, but Lecce is still unknown. This vid makes me wanna go…now! Thanks for the ‘real view’ of a truly beautiful Italian town.
!st time I've seen your videos and I've subbed. What a pleasure you are. Calm, reassuring, lighthearted, and a talented and informative creator. I'd love to see some small farms for sale by the sea. My dream is to retire to a farm by the sea....on a very small budget.
First time viewer of your channel. I appreciated the pastry tour at the beginning. I thought the first home had a lot of potential but would require a lot of work to update. I would have been curious to know the cost and time to do the work in Italy. The 2nd home was impressive and needed little work. Both had excellent layouts and very reasonable costs. Thank you for the two tours. 👍👍👍👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice touch using taralli as a location marker. I just happened to be on a trip to Italy just before this was posted, and had a great time wandering around Lecce at one point. At lunch, I discovered taralli ... it is somewhat like a cross between a cracker and bread, and something unique to Puglia apparently. Was fantastic with the salmon salad I had.
Salute mi uomo. I absolutely love your blogs. As a guy who would Love to live and just BE in the moment in Italy ..make it so inspiring to buy. Cheers my man. Keep them coming , you are very handsome and astute. Grazie.
Ooofff no the second one has basically no windows or natural light, very dark and oppressing feeling even in the video, I would definitely not spend 85k on even two places with that few windows, especially due to the muffa problems come winter 😬 best of luck with the search. Lovely videos
Your videos are fantastic. Well done. Really enjoy when you hand draw a map of home prior to review, very helpful. One suggestion would be to mention if the home qualifies for the 7% tax treatment as I’m sure some of your viewers would like to know.
I’m getting married in Lecce in 1 month!! Your video popped out of nowhere in my recommended section 😍 beautiful footage of the most beautiful city!! Bravo!!! You have a new subscriber! 👏👏
so well done, grazie!! love seeing the shops, piazzas, etc. as an intro to the houses. awesome for showing the floor plan too, makes the layout v clear (and who doesn't want a wee tarallo as a tour guide?) and thanks for letting us hear the ambient sounds while touring the house (I, for one, really can't bear the canned youtube music that overwhelms many of the house tour vids)
Just found and watched your three videos. They are so well done. I love seeing the, towns, properties and the food! Have subscribed, so I'm looking forward to seeing more. 🙂
your videos are inspiring, and you are fluent in Italian, and maybe a realtor, and a film producer? love to guess what got you doing this… we are pleased.
We had a summer villa near Lecce. We lived in Basilicata until 1999 when my husband passed and I moved back to Canada. My Mother was also dying at that time too. By 2001 I moved back to Bari with family. Lecce is a vacation destination for us.
Absolutely gorgeous home Nick. As you said the wine cellar alone is worth the price of admission. Unfortunately my pockets aren’t deep enough for this place. We can dream though.
Lecce is great if you like wall to wall people and tourists, traffic, also forget about finding a parking spot. UGH and sweetlordjesus! I stayed in Lecce for 5 days at the end of September; and although I really enjoyed its history, great restaurants, museums, and spectacular architecture, personally I would not want to live there (not even part time). Sorry, it’s just a nightmare getting around or into the city via car. As far as the houses go, the second one is a clear winner 🎉🎉🎉! Fantastic price for the sq footage, location and the shape it is in. I can’t believe I am going to say the following, but this place may be too big 😅😅😅! However, the rooftop terrace was simply and spectacularly jaw dropping 😍😍😍! How did you find this gem? As always, I immensely enjoyed this episode. Wish it was longer. 😢😢😢 thank you and looking forward to the next one.
Ahhh good points Barbara . I didn’t think about parking. We are looking to be in a smaller town( suburb) of a large city. That way when we want or need services of a large city we can drive there. Otherwise we can live quietly in a small village.
these homes are not in the centro storico but rather in the frazione di Lecce - so this is not an issue- if they were in the center the prices would be 500,000+!
Wow. I’m so impressed with your content. It is TOP! Grazie da Texas. Vogliamo abitare in Puglia. It’s a dream! ❤. Listen I would love a slide at the end that shows some data like How far to the beach? How far to Rome via train? My husband thinks Puglia is too far south. You said 5m from Lecce. Would this be by train? Must we have a car? Closest airport? Average temps June or January. Grazie mille!
It depends what your point of reference is. I live in Florence and for me. Puglia is "far away" - it takes me the same amount of time to travel to all parts of Europe. But if one lives in Puglia your point of reference can be different. Whereas from Florence I can be in Rome in 75 minutes on the train - look at Lecce and Puglia and see all there is to offer around there. The airports in Puglia are Brindisi (closest to Lecce) and Bari - which has flights everywhere in Europe (East and West), Bari and Brindisi are jumping off points for the ferries to Greece and Albania as well. It is about 5.5 hours on the Frecciarosa to Rome and the cheap fare is about USD$45 - distance about 400 miles.
Lecce and puglia are fun with a salary from outside italy. It's absolutely different if you are stuck there without perspective and a proper job and salary. While we romantically think of places like this and buy property with our deep pockets, the people living there will be impacted by rising prices with an income that is most likely below 1000€ a month.
Lecce is NOT the second largest city in Puglia, it's actually the fifth after Bari, Taranto, Foggia and Andria. Do some research upfront my friend. Great video anyway! Keep them coming.
This creator came out of no where, what great story telling and cinematography. Joy to watch, even when you finally buy a place, just don't stop making content, whatever it is.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏!

😂 that’s what I probably end up with after letting foolish dreams of renovating a place go…no offense…it makes sense!
@@MrRickkramer None taken. You have to be practical. Its hard to think with your head rather than heart when faced with such wonderful opportunities/
do many italians live in england. just curious
Off course. Is plenty@@joederocco9321
@@joederocco9321 I don't know. I lived in the outskirts of London. There may be more to be found in central London.
I was stationed not far away, in nearby Brindisi from 1983-1986 and still miss it! Lecce has always been one of my favorite Italian towns.
Beautiful cinematography of Lecce!
We stayed there over ten years ago for work and loved Lecce, the Florence of the South…wonderful people and great food. ❤
I spent two weeks in this area in 2019 with a group of friends. We rented a couple cars and explored every town/city we could in those two weeks and it was incredible. I'm dying to go back as soon as I can. Great video!
Would be really cool if you could find some detached stone houses, no matter the size, for sale. They’d be an awesome and worthy renovation project
One of my favourite shows of recent has been Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy and there is so much of that in this. This creator is just fantastic and it is so easy to listen to and absorb the content here, just fantastic! Keep it up!

These videos are great, keep them coming! They are making me excited for Our 2 weeks in Lecce/Galatina this September!!
Great videos! The shots you take are amazing. Looking forward to watch more! Cheers!
Im stunned to see both apts for 85k,thats incredible, ive just found your channel and subbed, you present really well, thanks
Well done. A thoughtful, creative video with some artful camera work, and interesting, fulsome content. Bravo.
I love how you give adequate and interesting information without going on and on and on on the same feature, good job 👍
Love it!!! Keep them coming! Living vicariously through you!
Thanks Leah 😁
He's back been counting the days til your next video is out!!
I love-love-love that you are including pastries.....you've won my heart.
I also love these videos! they really capture how beautiful Salento is!
Man your video are 🤯
Southern Italy is much better than the typical media or people presume to be.
I love your videos! From the opening to the ending of every video, is a touch of history, culture, food, and the dream.
Great video. Love Italy. It’s beautiful. Looking forward to your future videos. …. ☺️👍

more walking; no xxxl sodas or refill. no corn syrup. normal meal portions.

the wheat in Italy is not poisoned like in the uk or usa
Amazing property. Fell in love with Lecce which has a restaurant with the best food in the world in my opinion. Very simple food that totally surprises with the flavour packed punch it has.
the 80 thousand dollar one is amazing, the apartment upstairs is bright
I like it when you put the prices up front, either in the comments or the thumbnail. Thanks
Thank you for taking me back to Lecce - a beautiful baroque city as you eloquently describe it.

Maybe they get confused with the province that is indeed the second in the region
Also Brindisi
Really, but with 400,000 inhabitants, with nearby municipalities, it is the second largest urban area in the region
I so much enjoyed hearing about the food and watching you eat, I almost forgot you were taking us house hunting. What a beautiful place.
Your videos are just fantastic - superb quality content - thank you
first house: what a great place! you can do so much with it - and the view is phantastic! number 2 is a bargain, but i personally would prefer more natural light. thank you so much for the videos on the real estate in that beautiful area!
wow. absolutely stunning cinematography. loved it. would love to see other places in puglia, molise, abruzzo... thank you for this channel!
Those ceilings are magical.
I’m hooked on your videos and love for Italy. Your artistic flair is a joy.
so glad I got to watch this.
No cabe duda de que los italianos son los Amos y señores del diseño
I’m a Croatian / kiwi 🥝 you make me want to move to Italy 🇮🇹 Stunning…your videos are beautiful ✨
I love the first house, but he second it's so cheap and really you can do a lot with it!
Your video has the best audio, I love everything you show, Lecce must be an amazing place to buy a house. ❤🎉

The last two were well worth the price. But the First had more Italian character. It would be hard to choose. Thank you for another great video

Grazie mille bello!
I love Lecce and plan on visiting this summer. Did you film this all yourself. I love the shots of you walking away and to the camera. Great shots!
Superb production, without exception my favourite RUclips channel! Please keep them coming!
Grazie, mi hai commosso con la tua descrizione della mia città natale (Lecce) e con quella dove abito (Nardò)!
GREAT, YOU EFFECT ME WITH THE FOOD. WANT TO BE THERE.
This is excellent. Well done! And well done Lecce!

Very beautiful and comfortable city
I remember that 2nd bakery in lecce - honestly, the biscuits were absolutely delicious 😊
and btw, the Intermezzo della Cavalleria Rusticana at 0:30 was written by Mascagni while he was in Puglia (Cerignola)
You win! I was waiting to see if someone would pick up on this detail 😁😁😁!

Awesome video.
Beautiful videos. Keep them coming 😊👍
I am enjoying watching your videos. Second house extremely good. Bottom for b&b, top floor for yourself. Keep doing great job.
Awesome !!!
What a great food video … and a great talk about Lecce
Simply beautiful!!
Well done! You are definitely giving me reasons to buy in Italy!
I loved this video. I moved from the US to Spain when I retired. I always wanted to live in Italy or Paris. I hope to see more of your videos
