The fact that he lived through all of that and could still walk, talk, function, and still had most of his memory intact was medically impossible. One addiction specialist told Mrs. Jones that it could ONLY be a miracle of God- God wanted Jones to keep singing. Thank goodness he did live through it, because in the 1990s he recorded some of the finest vocals that I've EVER heard. Love ya Mr. Jones.
I agree, I love all of George's music but there through the 90's George took it to another level!
I agree. I cannot possibly understand how he lived through all of it. Not to mention countless scuffles and fights. The fact that he never actually shot anyone is also amazing. But thinking about all of the organs that should have failed him (e.g., pancreas, liver), diseases that could have killed like diabetes, not to mention what could have been a permanent psychotic break, I mean, what did keep him alive except his being from the planet Krypton or the good Lord.

You did this Jones, your strength and determination! Your wife was there to help and encourage you all those years, but in the end, you are the one who made the decision and did all of the work.
Like the saying goes “ you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink”, and this is how I feel towards you and your battle, you wanted to quit and you wanted a better life, you got it with the help of your life. They make your wife sound like a martyr and maybe she is by being with you all the way thru it but, you did the work and you came out on top, where you were always meant to be.
