I think that after the explosion Ethan was so weak that he wasn't able to regenerate for years, so for all intents and purposes he was dead to everyone that knew him. Ethan being called "special case" during all the game really gives Capcom a door to do anything( plus we never learn all his powers) . They set up the bricks to let people build and contradict theories about him a lot.
My theory about Ethan at the very end, was that there was a planned scene at the end where Rosemary "imagines" him walking past the car as she drives away. This would have been the first time we get to see his face. Sort of a character farewell. I think it was cut, though, but they still kept ethan in there. Probably thought no one would ever see him, and attribute it to a random character walking.
I'm really curious about this. The first time I saw it I immediately thought "Oh no who is that walking toward them" and I think that the car actually stops when nearing him at the very end of the scene. And now you can also see that Ethan has a pretty determined walk. Can't wait for RE9!
It's an interesting theory, but the fact that the vehicle stops instead of keeps going says it wasn't going to be like that. The driver either notices Ethan or Rose tells him to stop. I'm curious as to what they're going to do as the model was either used out of convenience or had a specific purpose.
6:47 something similar was done in world of warcraft : Warlords of draenor where you are on a moving train (a dungeon) and in order to make it like the train is moving in a huge valley while you fight your way through to the front its actually the land that moves ! pretty clever and sneaky
im kinda amazed how every single cutscene is in engine, in the same location. The end scene in the helicopter is literally just a lil dinkly helicopter
Why does Heisenberg sound like a robot in the boss fight? Isn't he just surrounding himself with metal? Is he making a crappy loudspeaker or something?
While it would be interesting to see there be some significance for Ethan's model being used in the epilogue, I'd imagine it was just done since he had the most "normal" outfit of any character, even though they would be viewed from so far away that it's impossible to discern much without the camera hacking. Still, that could make for an interesting scene if Rose's game continues right from the epilogue, with her thinking she's seeing her father walking by before just realizing it was her imagination or something to that effect.
Every first person game removes the characters head from the player pov if its an online shooter then there is a separate model that only other people can see so you actually have a head there.
@@Morphoidism watch shesez boundary break of doom eternal the character model is just a pair of floating arms and whatever gun you are carrying. I’d REALLY like to see Miranda’s building at the end that shows up. The mold I understand, but it’s looks like a huge fortress just appears that Chris blows up.
One thing I would like to know is what is the ("filter?") going on at 2:39 during the 'find the doll stage'. Everything on the screen looks either blurry, fuzzy, moving/animated etc. The colors and textures look "off". What technique did the developers use to create this effect??
Maybe you know now. There was something about the flowers around the house and it’s in the story of the doll maker. The flowers release something that messes with eyesight
Some of the elevators felt like they took forever. I understand it being a loading zone to import the new areas and the assets associated with them, but man, knowing that it's faked makes it feel even worse. An actual ten second ride taking that much longer.
I think Ethan escaped, while Chris ran off with rose, there was little time until the explosion, my guess is that ethan had enough time to escape the village before it exploded, and I think he may have been walking for maybe years, or was somewhere, but then again the gravestone is there, maybe it was rose hallucinating him?
gravestone does not equal body. From a lore point of view, id say it just took ethan that long to regenerate and/or make it there. from a bit of a mix of lore/gameplay POV, Id say that this was either put in as an easter egg for something in an upcoming game, or they used his model due to a planned scene in the ending that they then scrapped. If it was just a random model as a placeholder, I dont see why it would be ethan as he should be at that point in time

There’s two theories for me Miranda stole ethans body to survive or rose can still stay in contact with her father even after death. The Miranda one is the least likely but I believe she would do anything to carry out her plans but can’t get to rose due to her always being protected. And the second theory is because I can’t remember where they say it but I believe they say something about everyone being infected is connected to everyone else I’m probably way off.
Either because no one is going to notice to save space. Or a strange super stretched out theory of mine, basicly Ethan is in the mold or whatever it is and that thing is not gone, and Ethan has abilities that allow him to "live" again

12:56 ok thats epic
6:47 something similar was done in world of warcraft : Warlords of draenor where you are on a moving train (a dungeon) and in order to make it like the train is moving in a huge valley while you fight your way through to the front its actually the land that moves ! pretty clever and sneaky
I'm thinking it's a placeholder too but you never know. With Ethan's powers though, you'd expect his hand to have healed after 16 years 😂
The character approaching the car in the ending is actually Karl Jobst coming to congratulate Rosie for being an absolute legend.
3:00 More like EATEN Winters, am I right?
im kinda amazed how every single cutscene is in engine, in the same location. The end scene in the helicopter is literally just a lil dinkly helicopter
Ethan walking down the road might just be a place holder
Love all your out of bounds video when are you gonna do the next re8 out of bounds if any. Keep up the good work.
That's not Ethan at the end, it's just Jose Mourinho with a hangover!
Why does Heisenberg sound like a robot in the boss fight? Isn't he just surrounding himself with metal? Is he making a crappy loudspeaker or something?
Probably he became a literal cyborg.
Oh, this was absolutely great to get.
It's so weird seeing Ethan walking around without a head 😭
Every first person game removes the characters head from the player pov if its an online shooter then there is a separate model that only other people can see so you actually have a head there.
@@JudeTheRUclipsPoopersubscribe The DOOM games keep the head on the model while in First Person.
@@Morphoidism nope it's just a pair of floating hands and a gun in doom eternal.
@@JudeTheRUclipsPoopersubscribe Really? Every video of DOOM I've seen had the head on the model.
@@Morphoidism watch shesez boundary break of doom eternal the character model is just a pair of floating arms and whatever gun you are carrying. In that game if you look down you don't have any legs so the devs didn't wanna waste resources with a whole character model. Not sure if it's the same with doom 2016 or not but atleast for enteral that's how it is.
THAT SECRET WITH THE ENDING AND ETHAN wtf... they put it on purpose here right?
Yeah. Partly to troll the fans and partly because it's a reuse of an asset.
Who knows.
Him being an "special " mold hybrid or whatever gives Capcom enough space to do anything.
That without adding that could be Rose powers imagining him (his concious).
I’d REALLY like to see Miranda’s building at the end that shows up. The mold I understand, but it’s looks like a huge fortress just appears that Chris blows up.
08:30 what do you mean by ‘chancing direction’?
I watch those videos for your voice and accent, I already checked those things myself
Chris might not actually be a liar. If you do a speedrun of the game. that point and the point when he shows the pics is like 30minutes apart.
9:14 real life you know how lucky Ethan would be to fall into the water
Another wonderful video slippy, Capcom made a really good resident evil village, detailed and fun to play. Thank you for your videos.
12:13 when you press alt+f4 to directly close the game you're playing
3:07 “Yummy”
If it was just a random model as a placeholder, I dont see why it would be ethan as he should be at that point in time
11:37 wow I didn't even realize it was the same bridge
I'm suprised Castle Dimitrescu is still there. Well looks like I'm going to make it into a museum. All the money I'm gonna make from all of you guys
Dude you should check ALL the guys behind the helmets and see if literally every one of them is a bio weapon. But yeah I was surprised they had a face behind that helmet
love how chirs's voice actor is javi
Fantastic work
Love this! Learning so much
Perhaps it's Ethan's spirit wandering around the graveyard's area, came back home to his sweet grave from buying a wee bottle of milk
That sped up clip of the monster baby is horrifying
12:05 Ethan used the remover tool from Gmod
oi oi! nice shout out
My guess is Ethan is just a placeholder that will be swapped out to someone else for Resi 9
thanks for the video🙌
That baby part omg. Some scary silent hill shet
Today ur out of bond video was awesome because didn't work today and really like the ending. HOPE they keep making more RE GAMES in further future. I'm just glad I was able to play all resident evil games from 1-8 (not 0 or the original re3 for the N64 JUST PLAYED THE REMAKE) HOPE THAT BY RE9 WE get to see or hear about other team we been with on the game series
11:02 happy little trees.
Is there anything that happens offscreen during the tremor while moving the giants chalice to the ritual site?
House B was very odd but kept the craziness going
9:07 Those inverse kinematics hands of Ethan while he falls are so funny. They keep snapping to max length.
There’s two theories for me Miranda stole ethans body to survive or rose can still stay in contact with her father even after death.
The Miranda one is the least likely but I believe she would do anything to carry out her plans but can’t get to rose due to her always being protected.
And the second theory is because I can’t remember where they say it but I believe they say something about everyone being infected is connected to everyone else I’m probably way off.
there will be a dlc for the ending, thats why they put ethan
when it comes from u im almost positive its true lol
Nah. It's probably his "spirit" or something more mundane.
@@KeybladeMasterAndy the car stopped check the lights .
There was no need to make the car stop tbh.
I was just wondering did u ever do the farmhouse after it burns down if there anything interesting in it
Stop saying characters disappear and there's nothing there, I don't want to know! 😅
What happened if you just keep going out of bounds like really far out where there’s nothing what I mean is it infinite
Excelent video. Thank you
ethan having no head in the game will never not be funny to me
3:05 did that baby just said "Yummy" ? First time I notice this lmao
Interesting video sir nice one
I bet you can make a 2-3 min compilation of Ethans hands getting hurt in the Resident Evil series.
Someone already did. Look it up. Also it’s 8 minutes long lol
Either because no one is going to notice to save space.
Or a strange super stretched out theory of mine, basicly Ethan is in the mold or whatever it is and that thing is not gone, and Ethan has abilities that allow him to "live" again
There’s no way they leave us there.
THERE HAS TO- NO WILL BE A RESIDENT EVIL 9.
ethan is alive!!!! omg
"Chris you liar"...lol
Wait, Ethan has a face? An actual face?
@Debirumania Well damn, RE8 put a lot of effort into not showing it. Not even in the closing cutscene when Chris rescues him
You would think after 2 games they would at least let Ethans face have a SECOND of screen time. Pretty disrespectful.
