I would love any 2D Zelda remade, but what interests me is this: remaking one of the 3D games IN 2D. I can easily see a Minish Cap-styled remake of The Wind Waker, which would be incredible. What do you think about this, Zeltik?
Definitely Zelda 2, but it would need to be more than just a graphical remake. I'd argue that all the side quests in the game need to be fleshed out a lot more. Take them from the simplistic fetch quests as they were initially designed and turn them into plot driven side stories related to the central plot. Also rework the battle and leveling mechanics,but that's a given.

Maybe they should make a 3rd oracle game entitled 'oracle of secrets' based on Farore where the game feels like a randomizer zelda where most everything in the game are 'secret'.

I would absolutely LOVE to play the remastered Oracle Games. And now, that we no longer have the technical limitations of the past, the planned third Oracle game could finally come to life. What would they call it, though. They can't do the original naming convention (Mystical seed of triforce) since that would confuse everyone who didn't know about the development, so the third one would be an Oracle game. We have oracle of ages, and oracle of seasons. They're both about time so the third one could be called oracle of days, switching between night and day instead of different seasons and ages.
Here's an idea.. do the entire oracles Trilogy as originally intended, even include the Mystical Seed of Courage #ProblemSolved Other than that for sure the oracles need the same remake treatment that Link's Awakening just got, A Link to the Past SORELY needs to be remastered as well. Well, all of them were originally known as "Mystical Seed of [X]" which means that the game would probably be rebranded as well to fit Farore's role within Seasons and Ages, "Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Secrets" or "Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Memories." Which I'd definitely be down for playing either.
Well, with them having A Link to the Past on NSO now, that's a game that probably has helped sell a few year subscriptions at least, I know that's why I finally got mine (despite owning games like Smash and MK8 lmao).
Would obviously be cool, but they took the ideas that they wanted for the ”Green” Oracle game and put them on Ages and Seasons if I remember correctly. The problem was the password system linking all the 3 games. But if they took new ideas and made the game, I’d love that
Kylee Smalley and then half the dungeons would be Ganon distorted versions of dungeons and locations from Link’s pasted lives. This would allow both Vaati, Shadow Link, Ghirahim, and maybe even Majora to make reappearances as bosses! Have it take place in a smaller kingdom consumed by darkness that traps people in waking nightmares of their own memories and have the linked game (if the linked game mechanic still exists) add Twinrova as a constant antagonist taunting Link with opportunities to either save a kidnapped Zelda or the citizens of this third land. Oh, and the skeleton pirates should make another appearance, but this time as Link’s allies as duly appointed buccaneers in the linked game.
It’s hard not to refer to a Zelda game as “one of my favorites.” They’re all just sooo good... But minish cap is also my favorite 2D Zelda, you have good taste in Zelda zeltik!
I think the best thing about almost every Zelda game is the storyline all with their own art style. For example: Toon Link can be more creative and silly, such as Link becomes a pirate and the new generation becomes a train engineer. IRL Link has a more powerful, emotionally and physically, storyline. He is a sheep farmer or simply a kid who now has been given a duty to protect Hyrule making friends along the way. and 2D Link is a little more depressing, as he and his new generations are haunted by Ganon who will return time and time again if it means he will get the chance to destroy Hyrule, and will never stop until he does.
I think I'd like to see Grezzo do both. Remake the Oracle games while also revisiting the Mystical Seed ideas, essentially bringing back and creating Seed of Courage from scratch.
The Oracle game will happen next as the engine and most of the assets are already made. I'd like to see Minish Cap get some love as apart from the ambassadors program on 3DS, it hasn't been released since the original.
Everyone: Man, I wish I could get the oracle games! Mike Matei: All you have to do is mod your tv, buy an old SNES, a Super Gameboy SNES adapter, and both catridges of the game. Realize that the SNES doesn't work due to corrosion, and then buy another off of eBay. Pray that the old, super expensive Zelda cartridges you bought off eBay still works, plug everything together, and now you can play the game in its original pixelated quality. Everyone: We were thinking more like a Switch remake.

I'm actually a casual scrub who didn't play half the series until recently... I played Links Awakening (GBC version) and Minish cap for the first time earlier this year. I'd like a Zelda 1 remake more than those two tbh. It needs a bit of catching up in terms of map screens etc. LA and MC work fine in their original form

I would prefer the Oracles with the third game and call it the "Triforce Trilogy," because... it feels wrong without Farore... but, knowing Nintendo's policies on this stuff (which I don't agree with, but whatever), I'll be fine with a straightforward remake
You know, I was playing Link to the Past a few days ago and, honestly, it doesn’t even need a remake they should remake the oracle games that were stuck to the constraints of the gameboy. Why fix what isn’t broken?
I think a better idea would be for them to remake them both and bundle them together in one game, or change the game a tiny bit to better Link the two games together

My Remake Wish List: *Oracle games, but not in the Link's awakening style since link's awakening was a dream, and the art style portrays that. Maybe an anime style like the cutscenes! And they could create that scrapped "Courage" game to complete the triforce! *Adventure of Link: If this game got a huge overhaul (to make it easier for starters) I think people would appreciate it more. *Original LOZ, since it's aged pretty roughly, and I'd love to see them recreate this game (and maybe add lore who knows?)
I would so love the Oracle Games on the Switch in Awakenings Style....Hell, i'd settle for the originals playable on the switch. They (as a whole) are my favorite 2D Zelda game. (though separately i'd say Minish Cap is better) But honestly, all of these games should be remade in Awakenings engine. Legend of Zelda Zelda II: Link's Adventure - Yes i think it should be remade in Awakening's Side-Scrolling engine :P Oracle of Seasons Oracle of Ages - Preferably with a new means of continuing in the next game(ideally via save checking.) - but i'd be okay if they brought passwords back. Minish Cap - While already visually distinct, and still great looking. I'd be wonderful if this got a new life on the Switch. All the better if they include Easter Eggs for having Awakening save data on the game for the Oracle games :3 they could then make the claim that Awakening is Courage, Ages is Wisdom and Seasons is Power. xD
I'd love to see what they could do with that concept. The game would imo not have to be 100% faithful to what Zelda 2 is, but rather what vision the devs had for it back then as the game was way ahead of its time. I could also imagine bringing more recent Zelda mechanics into the playstyle of 2. A kind of spiritual successor like A Link Between Worlds.
@@alexrhind8459 nah, it's considered as one of the best zelda. the gameplay was really well done for the time (the shield mechanisms for example). The problem is the difficulty settings and the lack of story (like the first one). Both can be ameliored in a remake

I think Minish Cap still looks better than the LA remake. If they want to remake it, they should find another graphical style for it. It wouldn’t really fit the game and it also would be boring to see every 2D Zelda in the same style
@@majora_90 I agree, mainly because I think the GBA color pallete was extremely bright and colorful. Minish Cap, Kirby Amazing Mirror, the Sonic Advance Games, and so on were probably the best looking games of all time. However, all that aside, I do love the art style of the Link's Awakening remake as well.
Hopefully if they get remade too theyll look nothing like this Link's Awakening one. Would love if those handheld Zeldas get the same treatment as the 3D ones, Minish Cap is so good, would be great like with Wind Waker visuals
id love to see Oracle Games redone for sure, as they were my favorite. However, id like to see what they could do with a more creative aspect by possibly combining the games into 1 larger game.
@@majora_90 Agreed. The artstyle fits how Link's Awakening is more light-hearted and dreamy it is but it wouldn't work for other 2D Zelda games as they are more serious and grounded.
Maybe instead of 3D it's *HD* Young Link kinda has a model (SSBU) but I think they would make a new model and it would be nice to see WindWaker and Majora's Mask in HD
I hope so! Especially if they're remakes. I love A Link Between Worlds and the Link's Awakening remake. I want to see the original get a remake as well as Zelda II. Maybe make them a little easier, make them look pretty. And of course, The Minish Cap; that one's a gem, too
I would love to have the Oracle games remastered & really want Minish Cap on the Switch. HOWEVER, for Minish Cap I'd prefer just a port rather than a graphic overhaul because the art style of MC is just too good & fitting for the charms of the game so I don't know if I'd like a visual change.
Minish Cap better be remade. Doesn't have to be in the LA style but it better be remade. MC is my favorite 2d Zelda and in my top 5 favorite Zelda games.
@@ArinJager1 I guess they are connected through bloodline I think but Minish Cap takes place before those games in the timeline, so they aren't exactly the same toon link as the the ones from WW, PH and SS. It takes place before the entire split because its before OoT too. I could only see a prequel though because Four Swords is the sequel to Minish Cap.
The Mario franchise should have two versions -- classic co-op driven (SM3DW) and a single player (Galaxy - Odyssey) series. So should Zelda -- classic top-down and a separate series for open-world style.

We got 1 game remake after 10 years of waiting for a true Metroid game, and the promise of a second. After two years of waiting, the only news we got was that they were basically starting over from scratch and we would have to wait much longer. In the meantime, BotW was released, Link's Awakening came out, and BotW 2 was teased. I want to know what happened to the ocarina, and every main magical artifact the games are built around except the triforce. Are they all made of time-shift stones? Who made them? Where do they end up after the credits roll?
I'd love for some of the other 2d Zelda games to get remade, however I have to stress I'd like them to be similer to a link between worlds art style and the plastic shiny art style only works for links awakening as its a dream and how sometimes dreams can look to us to be either very detailed or next to no details at all.
Seasons is associated with Power and is combat oriented, Ages is associated with Seasons and is puzzle oriented. This last one associated with Courage should be like a horror game.
I always envisioned a potential Zelda one remake as having a beautiful hand-drawn artstyle like the Link's Awakening intro. I think that could look stunning.
I'd love that, a 2.5 D remake of Zelda 2. It's one of my favourite games, but Nintendo being the way Nintendo is these days, they'd either be afraid of releasing a hard game, or they'd neuter it and make it easier and accessible. The only real change it should have, is you can save at will (vs forcing a game over) and you can start over at a dungeon if you die in it. You should still have to start at the Palace otherwise. The short cuts on the map would lose meaning if you started where ever else you saved or died at.
As someone who's not particularly fond of the new standard 3D Zelda games will follow, I strongly hope what Zeltik is predicting and speculating will come true. What better way for someone who's not crazy about what 3D Zelda games will be from now on to still enjoy Zelda than for the old to make new returns on present-day systems? Having a brand new 2D Zelda game inspired by the days of old that doesn't yet exist, that's what. Great video, Zeltik!
I agree. I wasn't thrilled with BotW. It honestly was just kinda flat to me. Now, if BotW 2 had more story, and more actual dungeons, I could probably make my peace with it. But as it stands, even though the game has excited everyone else, I'm just gonna sit here and wait for another good Metroid title to come out rather than the LoZ ones that come out seemingly every 6 months.

Arin Jäger The problem with adding the third game is the matter of order. The original reason why Mystical Seed of Courage was dropped was because they couldn’t puzzle out how the three games would interact with each other. When boiled down to two it becomes much simpler. A base version for each game and an alternate with minor changes if it is the second played in linked mode. But that becomes infinitely more complicated when you add a third game. You’d have to make the base version of all three followed by variants to account for when it is played in the triangle. In total you’d have to make five different versions of every single game. Which makes a total of fifteen separate game variants which is a significant undertaking compared to the original Oracle games which only had different versions between them.
Let's combine the two. Let's remake the Oracle games and add in the intended third game that was intended originally. The switch can handle a tri linked set of games. ;)
As much as I would love that it is not logistically viable. A major pull of the oracle games was you could choose the order you played them in and got different content depending on that order. That’s a very simple process when dealing with two games. Two base games and two minor variants. Four versions totally. That becomes a significantly more arduous process when you include a third game. It becomes three base games and twelve variants based on order. That’s more than three times the effort. So either they pick the order for you and we lose a great deal of content, not to mention a faithful adaptation or they make fifteen versions of a game that they’ll then have to sell for at most the price of three. From a marketing standpoint it would require too many sacrifices or too many resources.
I'm kinda sick of Ocarina of Time to be quite honest. Them remaking a game for a second time without even a decade passing since the first remake sounds like overkill to me.
Grezzo could be sitting on a big pile of gold if they get their ass in gear: link to the past , a link between worlds, OOT, MM... would be near instant money ...
My Wishlist of Remakes(In no particular Order): Zelda II: Adventure of Link: Maybe make it like bloodstained ritual of the night? The Oracle Games: Remake them both at the same time plus add the original cut game the mystical seed of Courage, "Oracle of Secrets" maybe? Make the artstyle similar to Link's awakening, but not the same. The anime artstyle in the Link' awakening remake should be used for the cutscenes. Minish Cap: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks: Make the artstyle just like Windwaker.

(I would also like a classic 3D Zelda but I doubt that will ever happen again and surely not on the Switch for sure.) But I don't want the Engine reused. I like the Zelda Games that have a distinct look for themselves way more. As far as remakes go I would definitely vote for the Oracle Games as well. It always hurts me if people claim there never was a fully submerged Zora Settlement and they don't understand that and I always think: "Well, you've never visited Labrynna's southern coast..."
I'd much rather just get ports of Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skward Sword. The overly cartoony style of this remake made it an instant "no" for me. Perhaps, OoT or MM could be redone with gorgeous graphics, but I would hope they wouldn't change other aspects of it.

honestly I'd play the original zelda in the BoTW play style, because to me, when I think of the original zelda, I don't think a happy fun adventure, to me that entire thing just seems kind of dark, you're just a kid fighting actual monsters with an old sword and wooden shield and slowly grow into a hero......kind of like an optimistic dark souls lmao, but I think if you change the style a bit, the new Link's Awakening engine could work for the remake
It seems to me that there are 3 types of Zelda games. the 2d games, the 3d games, and the open world game as of BOTW. Obviously majority of us loved BoTW but we don't want to wait like 4 yrs between Zelda games so they shouldn't give up the 2d and 3d games that have done so well for them so far. I think rather than another remake they should make a brand new 2d or 3d Zelda game. the last new standard 3d Zelda game we had was skyward sword...that wazs 8 years ago! Not that I don't like the remakes, but they need to focus no making new 2d and 3d Zelda games. it could be done quicker than their next massive open world game. If they get a third party studio to do it, they can work on perfecting their open world game and we the fans wouldn't have a Zelda drought.
My personal order: 1. Skyward Sword HD 2. Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD ports 3. Any 2D Zelda adventure not including Phantom hourglass or Spirit tracks. Those can wait for now.
This doesn't have to do with THIS Zelda game, but was the Rist Peninsula in Breath of the Wild based on the Spiral Jetty in Utah? I happened to see a picture of the Jetty on Antiques Roadshow and they look almost exactly the same. I was wondering if that was on purpose or just a neat design coincidence?

I can't believe nobody is actually talking about the DS games... they deserve the same amount of love as the other 2D Zelda, it breaks my heart the fact that nobody's acknowledging them. @Zeltik I think Phantom hourglass and Spirit tracks need a remake ( not a remaster ) They are the most hated games for no reasons other than the touch controls. If they remake the game with normal controls and improve the game visually, and fix some things, and I think a lot of people will learn to love those games.
I think visuals with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks should be given a pass as this style has only been done once before on the GameCube, and now they are doing it on an even smaller device. Even then they fixed problems from PH in ST. But on their own, they are great games and I think they are thrown under the bus for bad reasons

We have oracle of ages, and oracle of seasons. They're both about time so the third one could be called oracle of days, switching between night and day instead of different seasons and ages.
As much as I like the artwork of Link's Awakening, I don't think it will fit the Oracle games as it's more serious and grounded.
So happy to see Minish Cap getting some love. It's also my favorite 2D Zelda
Here's an idea.. do the entire oracles Trilogy as originally intended, even include the Mystical Seed of Courage

Well, all of them were originally known as "Mystical Seed of [X]" which means that the game would probably be rebranded as well to fit Farore's role within Seasons and Ages, "Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Secrets" or "Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Memories." Which I'd definitely be down for playing either.
Well, with them having A Link to the Past on NSO now, that's a game that probably has helped sell a few year subscriptions at least, I know that's why I finally got mine (despite owning games like Smash and MK8 lmao).
Would obviously be cool, but they took the ideas that they wanted for the ”Green” Oracle game and put them on Ages and Seasons if I remember correctly. The problem was the password system linking all the 3 games. But if they took new ideas and made the game, I’d love that
Kylee Smalley and then half the dungeons would be Ganon distorted versions of dungeons and locations from Link’s pasted lives. This would allow both Vaati, Shadow Link, Ghirahim, and maybe even Majora to make reappearances as bosses! Have it take place in a smaller kingdom consumed by darkness that traps people in waking nightmares of their own memories and have the linked game (if the linked game mechanic still exists) add Twinrova as a constant antagonist taunting Link with opportunities to either save a kidnapped Zelda or the citizens of this third land. Oh, and the skeleton pirates should make another appearance, but this time as Link’s allies as duly appointed buccaneers in the linked game.
They should make Oracle of secrets where the game feels like a randomizer.
It’s hard not to refer to a Zelda game as “one of my favorites.” They’re all just sooo good... But minish cap is also my favorite 2D Zelda, you have good taste in Zelda zeltik!
I think the best thing about almost every Zelda game is the storyline all with their own art style.
For example:
Toon Link can be more creative and silly, such as Link becomes a pirate and the new generation becomes a train engineer.
IRL Link has a more powerful, emotionally and physically, storyline. He is a sheep farmer or simply a kid who now has been given a duty to protect Hyrule making friends along the way.
and 2D Link is a little more depressing, as he and his new generations are haunted by Ganon who will return time and time again if it means he will get the chance to destroy Hyrule, and will never stop until he does.
I think I'd like to see Grezzo do both. Remake the Oracle games while also revisiting the Mystical Seed ideas, essentially bringing back and creating Seed of Courage from scratch.
For Courage, there should be scary puzzles and enemies and dark caves and dungeons.
The Oracle game will happen next as the engine and most of the assets are already made.
I'd like to see Minish Cap get some love as apart from the ambassadors program on 3DS, it hasn't been released since the original.
Right, the Oracle games were more or less "expansion packs" built on the Link's Awakening engine. They've done the legwork already.

Mike Matei: All you have to do is mod your tv, buy an old SNES, a Super Gameboy SNES adapter, and both catridges of the game. Realize that the SNES doesn't work due to corrosion, and then buy another off of eBay. Pray that the old, super expensive Zelda cartridges you bought off eBay still works, plug everything together, and now you can play the game in its original pixelated quality.

I'm actually a casual scrub who didn't play half the series until recently... I played Links Awakening (GBC version) and Minish cap for the first time earlier this year.
I'd like a Zelda 1 remake more than those two tbh. It needs a bit of catching up in terms of map screens etc. LA and MC work fine in their original form
I hope every Zelda remake gets a different design so every game will feel unique

My Remake Wish List:
*Oracle games, but not in the Link's awakening style since link's awakening was a dream, and the art style portrays that. Maybe an anime style like the cutscenes! And they could create that scrapped "Courage" game to complete the triforce!
*Adventure of Link: If this game got a huge overhaul (to make it easier for starters) I think people would appreciate it more.
*Original LOZ, since it's aged pretty roughly, and I'd love to see them recreate this game (and maybe add lore who knows?)

All the better if they include Easter Eggs for having Awakening save data on the game for the Oracle games :3 they could then make the claim that Awakening is Courage, Ages is Wisdom and Seasons is Power. xD

I'd love to see what they could do with that concept. The game would imo not have to be 100% faithful to what Zelda 2 is, but rather what vision the devs had for it back then as the game was way ahead of its time.
I could also imagine bringing more recent Zelda mechanics into the playstyle of 2. A kind of spiritual successor like A Link Between Worlds.

It wasn't that bad in its day, (ALTTP made it obsolete) there are some good things that if were the emphasis, has potential to say the least.

I think Minish Cap still looks better than the LA remake. If they want to remake it, they should find another graphical style for it. It wouldn’t really fit the game and it also would be boring to see every 2D Zelda in the same style
@@majora_90 I agree, mainly because I think the GBA color pallete was extremely bright and colorful. Minish Cap, Kirby Amazing Mirror, the Sonic Advance Games, and so on were probably the best looking games of all time.
However, all that aside, I do love the art style of the Link's Awakening remake as well.
I think the artstyle would be in the form of Wind Waker.
Hopefully if they get remade too theyll look nothing like this Link's Awakening one. Would love if those handheld Zeldas get the same treatment as the 3D ones, Minish Cap is so good, would be great like with Wind Waker visuals

@@ArinJager1 I guess they are connected through bloodline I think but Minish Cap takes place before those games in the timeline, so they aren't exactly the same toon link as the the ones from WW, PH and SS. It takes place before the entire split because its before OoT too. I could only see a prequel though because Four Swords is the sequel to Minish Cap.

The Mario franchise should have two versions -- classic co-op driven (SM3DW) and a single player (Galaxy - Odyssey) series.

I'd love for some of the other 2d Zelda games to get remade, however I have to stress I'd like them to be similer to a link between worlds art style and the plastic shiny art style only works for links awakening as its a dream and how sometimes dreams can look to us to be either very detailed or next to no details at all.

Seasons is associated with Power and is combat oriented, Ages is associated with Seasons and is puzzle oriented. This last one associated with Courage should be like a horror game.

I'd love that, a 2.5 D remake of Zelda 2. It's one of my favourite games, but Nintendo being the way Nintendo is these days, they'd either be afraid of releasing a hard game, or they'd neuter it and make it easier and accessible.
The only real change it should have, is you can save at will (vs forcing a game over) and you can start over at a dungeon if you die in it. You should still have to start at the Palace otherwise. The short cuts on the map would lose meaning if you started where ever else you saved or died at.

What better way for someone who's not crazy about what 3D Zelda games will be from now on to still enjoy Zelda than for the old to make new returns on present-day systems? Having a brand new 2D Zelda game inspired by the days of old that doesn't yet exist, that's what. Great video, Zeltik!
I agree. I wasn't thrilled with BotW. It honestly was just kinda flat to me. Now, if BotW 2 had more story, and more actual dungeons, I could probably make my peace with it. But as it stands, even though the game has excited everyone else, I'm just gonna sit here and wait for another good Metroid title to come out rather than the LoZ ones that come out seemingly every 6 months.

they had the engine from link between worlds, so they remade link's awakening (which was originall a game boy port of link to the past - so, there's the connection, right?)... they should remake "oracle of...", but make it a one game... and add the third one that was never fully realized (so, basically make a new game, yay!)

Arin Jäger The problem with adding the third game is the matter of order. The original reason why Mystical Seed of Courage was dropped was because they couldn’t puzzle out how the three games would interact with each other. When boiled down to two it becomes much simpler. A base version for each game and an alternate with minor changes if it is the second played in linked mode. But that becomes infinitely more complicated when you add a third game. You’d have to make the base version of all three followed by variants to account for when it is played in the triangle. In total you’d have to make five different versions of every single game. Which makes a total of fifteen separate game variants which is a significant undertaking compared to the original Oracle games which only had different versions between them.
Let's combine the two. Let's remake the Oracle games and add in the intended third game that was intended originally. The switch can handle a tri linked set of games. ;)

As much as I would love that it is not logistically viable. A major pull of the oracle games was you could choose the order you played them in and got different content depending on that order. That’s a very simple process when dealing with two games. Two base games and two minor variants. Four versions totally. That becomes a significantly more arduous process when you include a third game. It becomes three base games and twelve variants based on order. That’s more than three times the effort. So either they pick the order for you and we lose a great deal of content, not to mention a faithful adaptation or they make fifteen versions of a game that they’ll then have to sell for at most the price of three. From a marketing standpoint it would require too many sacrifices or too many resources.

As far as remakes go I would definitely vote for the Oracle Games as well. It always hurts me if people claim there never was a fully submerged Zora Settlement and they don't understand that and I always think: "Well, you've never visited Labrynna's southern coast..."

The overly cartoony style of this remake made it an instant "no" for me. Perhaps, OoT or MM could be redone with gorgeous graphics, but I would hope they wouldn't change other aspects of it.

honestly I'd play the original zelda in the BoTW play style, because to me, when I think of the original zelda, I don't think a happy fun adventure, to me that entire thing just seems kind of dark, you're just a kid fighting actual monsters with an old sword and wooden shield and slowly grow into a hero......kind of like an optimistic dark souls lmao, but I think if you change the style a bit, the new Link's Awakening engine could work for the remake
I really want zelda 2 remake or the version of zelda 1 with the breath of the wild additions to it
If it was open world like botw, it would just be botw with a less interesting story, so I doubt it
BotW is basically Zelda 1 with modern tech
It seems to me that there are 3 types of Zelda games. the 2d games, the 3d games, and the open world game as of BOTW. Obviously majority of us loved BoTW but we don't want to wait like 4 yrs between Zelda games so they shouldn't give up the 2d and 3d games that have done so well for them so far. I think rather than another remake they should make a brand new 2d or 3d Zelda game. the last new standard 3d Zelda game we had was skyward sword...that wazs 8 years ago! Not that I don't like the remakes, but they need to focus no making new 2d and 3d Zelda games. it could be done quicker than their next massive open world game. If they get a third party studio to do it, they can work on perfecting their open world game and we the fans wouldn't have a Zelda drought.
I'll love to see the Oracle games remake, they were the first Zelda Games I truly play and the ones that draw me to this great franchise.
NO REMAKES!!!! Why promote mediocrity by developers. Make them earn the money for NEW GAMES, no rehash’s
My personal order:
1. Skyward Sword HD
2. Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD ports
3. Any 2D Zelda adventure not including Phantom hourglass or Spirit tracks. Those can wait for now.
This doesn't have to do with THIS Zelda game, but was the Rist Peninsula in Breath of the Wild based on the Spiral Jetty in Utah? I happened to see a picture of the Jetty on Antiques Roadshow and they look almost exactly the same. I was wondering if that was on purpose or just a neat design coincidence?

KCM doubt it tbh, they’ve got it on Switch Online, so they’ll probably look at the Oracle games/Wii U ports.

Remake Adventure of Link. It's a good game that's rough around its edges that could use some tlc.

I can't believe nobody is actually talking about the DS games... they deserve the same amount of love as the other 2D Zelda, it breaks my heart the fact that nobody's acknowledging them. If you aren't paying attention to them only because they are from the DS you are truly missing two underrated gems honestly

You know what would be fantastic but will certainly never happen - what if Nintendo did remake the oracle games the same way as Links Awakening but fulfil the original vision and make an original 3rd Oracle game to be released alongside them!
i’d love to see phantom hourglass and spirit tracks remade, but much like skyward sword, they’d kinda need complete overhauls, given how much of the ds was used and abused by the two. they really could benefit from it though

I think Phantom hourglass and Spirit tracks need a remake ( not a remaster )
They are the most hated games for no reasons other than the touch controls. If they remake the game with normal controls and improve the game visually, and fix some things, and I think a lot of people will learn to love those games.
I think visuals with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks should be given a pass as this style has only been done once before on the GameCube, and now they are doing it on an even smaller device. Even then they fixed problems from PH in ST.
But on their own, they are great games and I think they are thrown under the bus for bad reasons

Yeah I agree. The style should be there but then just tweak it to make it look gorgeous. Like wind wakes HD.
