Just FYI, the wiring and fuse boxes on 99-02s are totally different from the 03-07s. The 03-07s are simple plug and play like this video shows, but on the 99-02s, the fog lights are controlled by the body control module. So installing fog lights using the factory switch on 99-02s require programming the body control module before they will work.
Just followed your video to install them on my LBZ. Thanks for the video! Made it very simple and easy to understand. And man does it look so much nicer! Next up are those mirrors you got! Ties it all in so nicely 👍🏼
You made this look soo easy. For someone like me who's a little challenged on wiring it may take me a few days lmao, now to try to install my fogs on my '03 ecsb. Nonetheless great video, new subscriber.
Thanks bro for the video I appreciate it a lot. I just did my instal this weekend followed all your steps and I took me a good hour or 2 but got it done. I went to a shop and was given a $200 estimate. I paid $24 for a relay and they were tryna charge me $40 for it lol
Your rig looks great with those lights.. just needs some wider meats on those killer rims to protect them from damage. They wouldn't last on the roads in the northeast like that. If you have smooth roads and no snow well I guess you can get away with it. The fogs were a good idea. I'm gonna do some rock lights next !
I get everything perfect up to the fuse block then can’t get past the fog light switch. I have been through 2 switches and both of them have had the same issue. The cargo light switch works but the fog light switch will not stay in to the on position. 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4
I ran my lights exactly like yours all I’m missing is the bulbs and the relay how do you connect the pigtail wire did you do it together to one wire or separate the pigtail wire
Hey Nate thanks for the video. I have the switch and connectors ordered from Amazon. Thanks for making that easy with links. Can you please provide the link for the relay at advance so I can be sure to get the right one? Thanks it would be much appreciated. I just finished rewiring my bumper lights from half DRL/half parking/turn to both bulbs being park/turn but wired to the DRL circuit so they come on when the original DRL's came on. I also did the 4 on High mod a few years ago. With that mod the DRL's stay on with the headlights and the low beams stay on with the high beams. Thanks again.
Excellent. I will do the same thing in my silverado. Tell me about the bulb light, what is the number and the color and if their are led hid xenón or what kind please.
I have OEM fog lights on my truck but the guy that owned it before me cut the pigtail off and removed the foglight after he had a minor fender bender. I'm assuming I should be able to splice into the existing wire and add a new pigtail into it and just plug the new foglight in?
Hey thanks, your video hit the mark for me. I have an 03 std cab, so I found a Avalanche bumper with factory fog lights and an extra 'bottom of the bumper' air deflector. But I also don't have the fog light factory harness. I found a pre-wired fog light harness with a loom covering, essentially "plug and play" for Silverado on Amazon..and I had a fog light button that lit up a dash indicator when pushed...there was a 15amp fuse next to where I discovered the empty relay spot. You supplied the missing info about where the power wire went into the relay....but then I had a question.....why did you replace the fog light OEM switch with the other with two buttons?
Had an issue, I wired everything correctly and put the pin in the correct spot (D6) but when I hit my fog light switch my parking lights turned on instead of my fog lights, checked everything on the outside but everything was done correctly, can I have someone’s opinion on what went wrong?
So I tried your method and I grounded it in the same location but my fog lights flicker when driving and pressing the brake.. What could it be? Bad ground. Bad battery maybe. Please help.
You showed were you instaled the fog wirer in the fuse block but were is the power wire , the wire to activate the relay and the ground for the relay ? Are they already there in the truck harness ?
Yes. The wire I installed acts as the power wire for the lights. The relay connecting to the power is already installed in the factory harness. I grounded the lights to the frame behind the bumper
I was wondering the same thing. I have a 2002 Silverado also with no pre existing fog lights or switch. I’m going to try the installation next week. Did it work for your 2002?
Wow, every other video says you have to have the body module reflashed if the vehicle didnt come with fog lights. Did you? Also what year is your truck? Dont know if the 2003 switch will work as some people say yes, some say no, because the electrical system components were changec in 2003.. Hope you see this and I get a reply, thanks.

Most of the time the headlight led's have the fans on them! I swapped out my headlight bulbs for a set of "Firehawk" led's & they are sweet!
