In this video I am going to show you how to install fog lights on a NBS Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra. This process works on 2003-2007 Classic Trucks. No programming is need and is plug and play. I decided to make my own harness instead of buying one. It is cheaper and can be made to the length you want. The fog lights make the truck look like a higher end trim level and really increase the light output at night. I decided to use the same brand led fog light bulbs as the headlights and WOW what a difference. This process of adding fog lights to you chevrolet silverado or gmc sierra can be done in your drive way with very little tools. I also wanted to have all the lights on at the same time so we add a 6 on or 6hi mod. It is cheap and 100% reversible. This allows the low beams, high beams and fog lights to be on at the same time. This gives a crazy amount of light at night. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Great install, I did the same on my 06. The U nuts you had for the fog lights were in the right spot but upside down. Gm bolted the fog light in from the top down to the bumper and sandwiched the u nut. That way you’re able to get to the bolts from the top of fogs and adjust and remove without have to take off the valance.
I actually thought about that when editing the video.

I now have a 2005 base model Silverado. (Regular cab, long bed) I want to upgrade it to the look of the ‘07 classic. Videos like this are my inspiration. Not to mention that the truck looks so cheap right now! I’m using the ‘07 wheels, badges and maybe even the classic hood and grille. If it’s possible that is. But thanks again for your video. I enjoyed the step by step instructions and no background music. So much that I liked, saved and subscribed!

Thats strange my 06 1500LS calls for 15 amp fuse. I measured 3.1 amps on each bulb , or 6.2 adc with both lamps on. Using the original bulbs that GM calls to be used(9104?) I believe that is right. I'm sure that the the more powerfull LED lamps will draw more current.

Use the same fleece plate on all my trucks, one more thing you can do is add a resistor to the drl , I have mine setup where everything works consecutively

Anyway, for wiring on pigtails, did you run one power and one ground to each pigtail then T off? Or did you run wires from each pigtail, solder wires from pigtail to each other and T off? Thank you!

If you took your clips for the fogs flipped them and ran the bolt in from the top they work and have easy access to remove them with the lower part. Thats how gm did it. Lol just rebuilt my bumper from a deer.

Using your video to do my fog light install on my 2007 classic body.my truck has a 15 amp fuse in the fog light fuse position.am l correct in assuming l need to replace it with a 30 amp one,it is an original 39k truck, thanks.

Lower valance does stick out a little from the chrome part of the bumper.
I figured it must. Gm part so I didn't think it was a fitment issue.
I didnt know all of this was necessary just for some fog lights im second guessing on doing it now

Hey brother I have a 05 I hooked up foglights with blinkers on them an now when I break the amber lights up. Only on the right side. Any ideas why this is?

03 up is plug and play. Only bcm programming is required in 99-02
You think these trucks are wired to accept power seats? Also, can confirm the rear view mirror swap is plug and play. Just found one in the salvage yard after you mentioned it
Not always plug and play. Each truck is wired differently. Same on seats

Yes you could run a wire from reverse light to it.

I have a harness with the fogs I swapped when my old harness was cut I also have a fuse block that had fog lights swapped when I did the v8 swap so technically I should be able to just plug the lights and the switch and it should work?
If it is 03 up yes
Oh yeah the fog lights are easy to install afterwards. You just you should have stuck with the j-nuts and bolts like you started to do. You just installed the j-nuts upside-down to begin with.

You still did a good job and if you didn't have the j-nuts it works just as well either way 😉

Interesting, I'm gonna check my 2000 for the relay and fuse.. when I added the heated mirrors on it, all I did was add relay under the hood and changed out the climate control to one with the defrost button and it worked, all wiring was done from factory. Now if I could figure how to wire puddle lights🤔. ✌
Yeah 2000 models are a little different and require bcm programming for fog lights

That valance you used, is it the GM one? I clicked your link and the only buying option is $452. I know there’s aftermarket just worried about fit ent and not being able to attach the lower lip
It is a gm one. They are higher than aftermarket but fit perfectly
Where exactly does the 30amp fuse go? I got my kit in the mail and I plan on installing this weekend. I see where the fog light relay goes but there is a 15amp fog use next to where the relay would go. The 15amp fuse is in the same location in your video as well, right next to the fog relay. If I have the 15amp fog fuse, then where does the 30amp fuse go?
Mine doesn't have a 30 amp. Truck is sold or I would go out and look

Green truck is 5/7. I hardly ever rub on either. Green truck will drag crossmember occasionally

@@TWAMotorsports ok thanks, I lower my truck total of 7 inches and had to put my stock shackles back on because the drive shaft started to rub , so it’s sitting at 6 inches and it still rubs some times. Got flip kit , stock shackles , and street performance shocks , Weld on Cnotch…

@TWA Motorsports so I swapped my 01 rcsb from 4.3 v6 to a 02 lq9. Originally my truck came drive by cable and my swap is drive by wire I want to to go back to drive by cable what all would I need ? I know my ecm is iac compatible.
All you should need is the throttle cable. May need a dbc engine harness though.
