Hello Travis. Another great how to video. I use sea foam from time to time to help clean my fuel system. Good stuff. Have a great day and rest of the week.
@@TWAMotorsports they woke up my truck alot. I want too lower the truck like 1 inch in the front and 2 in the rear, maybe 3. But do want tubular upper and lower control arms. Just hard to find a good set. Most want to drop the front end 2 inches. I like that as an option thou. But Louisiana roads suck A$$
Good stuff..I would go ahead and replace heater hoses and quick disconnects.also rad. Hoses and thermostat..I hate being on the side of the road for something minor
I just picked up a 2014 Silverado 1500 WT with a 5.3. Getting ready to do plugs/wires/filter myself. 200k miles. Has a slight miss and just threw a check engine light.
Good Monday evening Travis I'm just getting home and settled in with my wife and having dinner my s few of my fbody friends are coming over to visit me and my wife and we are going to catch your video when they come over...🤙
I have a cold air intake and I don't know about HP think there just for looks lol but I do know my first one was oiled and it mess up my maf sensor. I only use dry now.
I had the same thing happen with the plug wires on a 2003 Silverado I had. Ordered the shorter ones because I didn’t know there was two sizes. I installed a complete airaid “cold air” intake on my 2007 Avalanche only because I took it off of the Silverado when I sold it and I noticed no difference whatsoever in performance. Did a 0-60 test with my phone and there was less than a second difference in the times. So I put the factory box back on with the airaid tube and a k&n filter in the stock box and called it a day.
@@TWAMotorsports I agree. I think the only time you would benefit from an open air filter is if you have internal engine work and tuned, as well as a bigger throttle body to allow more air.
On point thinking about tuning mine up this spring. Question is the green filter better than the k&N? And I've heard that the factory box and filter is better, any recommendations? I have the k@n set up.
Hello Travis. You can tell in the video that you weren't that thrilled with the Air Intake unit. Which do you recommend for an upgrade...and if said upgrade is installed...will I need to have the truck computer tuned for the extra air it's pulling. Will that extra air throw off the computer. Looking for the best option and trust your judgement from all your sick videos. I am building a 2000 GMC Sierra ext cab, 5.3 that I call "Snow White". It has 300,000k miles and runs great. And I hope you get a TV show soon.
@TWA Motorsports yeah but I try and do it once a year for maintenance. For sure I want to buy some blue spark plug wires plus I need to check my air filter to see how dirty it is
I couldn't stand those heat shields and didn't like the fitment they're not overly important anyways. They sell socks, which are better I think. But I decided to just get extreme high temp rated wires and ditch them all together on my 6.0L
Are you serious bro ,,,,, talk about torquing the spark plugs ,,,,, you can't be serious about . You don't torque spark plugs . You measure the tightness with your hand and the same turns 12 ⏰ clock . All spark plugs have to be the same level depending on the length as you have seen in different spark plugs . "not gonna get too crazy" (proceeds to clean the engine bay with a toothbrush) haha, love it!!
Lol. Ocs problems

Thank you Larry
I own a 2006 chevrolet silverado crew cab. I used the Taylor 10.4 spark plug wires. They are amazing, added NGK Laser cut iridium spark plugs
Both awesome products I have used in the past on fbodys

I can't stand the a arm drips currently on the market. Rather ride around at stock height. Lol
@@TWAMotorsports I thought finding a company that might have some or get some made, like Ekstensive Metal Works
That may be an option

Thank you. Probably should do those also.

Marvels Mystery oil in the engine oil & gas tank💯👍🏿

Yeah maybe 5 to 10hp if lucky
nice work travis the lenght of the spark plug wires is based on round or square coil im sure u knew that. keep them videos up
Thank you. Yeah I wish they would have done 1 coil.
Another item for tune up i think would be a throttle body cleaning. Have u checked yours?
Yeah it probably needs a good cleaning also.

Yeah I think tube and drip in filter are good

Yeah. Maybe with a forced induction engine also
@@TWAMotorsports I agree.
Travis I can’t wait to put my new lights and other parts on .
It makes a big difference
Thx again now i know what cables i am going to use in my silverado 👍🏾
Glad I can help
Gonna have to give that seafoam a try in my gas, and definitely time to change the fuel filter on mine. Thanks for the reminder. Lol ✌
Yeah its good stuff.

Green filter is better than k&n in my opinion

No issues with the computer but would be better with the tune. It is good
Okay I’ve been following along with you dropping this truck i have one question have you had any driveshaft issues ? No hitting ?
No issues
awesome job
Thank you
Just did my spark plugs last week it was time
Yeah it needs to be done at least every 100k
Love the content man, Do you plan on putting a trans cooler with the cluster that shows the temps?
Honestly didn't plan on it.
awesome truck man! By chance do you know of any full suspension replacement kits?
Thank you. I generally by parts individually
Try a S&B cold air intake still a cold air but not the open filter design
I will look into that
I’m a big fan I have a 02 Chevy Tahoe it has a misfire I’ve u every had this problem what you think it could be a
Could be several things. May be intake gaskets
@@TWAMotorsports thank you so much your feedback I will do that weekend
do the process for oil and sea foam pleace
I will if I do it again.
Seeing you change the spark plugs is going to make me want to change mine out but they only have over 8000 miles on them
Lol. They are brand new then.
@TWA Motorsports yeah but I try and do it once a year for maintenance. For sure I want to buy some blue spark plug wires plus I need to check my air filter to see how dirty it is

@TWA Motorsports well I just checked my air filter.....looks Iike I got to go buy a cold air intake now lol
Lol

Have a question the spark plug wires do they pass smog If anyone ?
No idea but don't see why they wouldn't
Do you have a 2 piece driveshaft and with that drop do you rub in the front ?
No rubbing. 1 peice driveshaft

Gm spec on plugs is 11lb ft for ls platform. Some can't tell the correct amount to tighten
Gm requires 11 ft lbs but ngk requires once plug is snug then quarter turn
