In truth, it is almost impossible to tell if they are pregnant. I used to raise rabbits and even the day before birth, I couldn't feel any babies. Some people can tell at about 10 days (30-32 day gestation). They say they feel like marbles in the horns of the uterus. I could never feel them. Even then you'd have to know when she actually mated. Which this person had no way to know.

3.5 weeks is basically the whole gestation for most rabbit breeds. Unless owner dumped her right after watching them mate, she probably hooked up with a wild rabbit.
      But yeah, don't dump pets.

My bunny was locked in an attic when i found her.. she was slowly starving. I was planning on finding her a good home but couldnt find anyone.. in the end it was too late.. i already loved her too much and just thinking of giving her away made me cry. So we build her a huge bunny area outside and went to the shelter to adopt another abandoned bunny so they both can live the good life with digging and running and jumping..just having fun. ❤ bunnies are awesome.

Females have an incredibly high rate of reproductive cancer so even though it's more expensive, it's best to spay the girls if you want them to live longer than a few years and save yourself those vet bills as they get older.
      From a veterinary site:
      "How common is it, really?
There is very good evidence to suggest that it is the most common tumour of female rabbits - roughly 60% of entire female rabbits aged over 3 years will have a tumour growing in their uterus, and by the time they reach 6 years, this may be as high as 80%. Essentially, the evidence suggests that pretty much every female rabbit will develop uterine cancer if they live long enough."

They are rabbits, they can and do survive. I’ve seen rabbits that were obviously pets at one time living and multiplying outside. They are animals that instinctively know what to do, how to care for their own babies, etc.

Thank for rescuing honeybun and her babies, I too have rescued females that were pregnant and tossed aside like so much garbage….from cats to dogs, including birds, they were abandoned and pregnant. I took them home and they delivered their babies, but it wasn’t easy to find homes for all of them, some I kept and stayed with me for many years, living until the ripe old age of 20 or 22….👍🙏🏼

This brought a tear to my eye. Honeybun looks exactly like my Jamie who passed in 2020. He had the same face markings and he used to lick me and cuddle with me too. All my bunnies are house rabbits who live with my beautiful Coton de Tulear. One happy fluffy family. Thank you for saving Honeybun and her babies, and for sharing it. Really beautiful. You are lovely people to take care of them as you have.

There is an urgency to be kind to animals. Many animals suffer so much because of how humanity views them as commodities, things, inanimate objects. So please, my friends, be kind to animals of all kinds, sizes, shapes and colours! ❤❤‍🔥

I agree 100% Bunnies can be so fragile too and when I had my bunny litters I also felt responsible to do as much as I could to help things go the best way possible. I now have massive set of files on different aspects of bunny care after 15 years of owning various bunnies! This was a very positive video!
