So today, I'm going to share how I use the different functions of Wallet by budgetbakers to record my daily expenses like food, planned payments like insurance premiums and even in scenarios where I forked out for a bill first, how do I recognise these transactions in my accounts.

Can you please explain how the automatic function/rule works in Wallet app? I don’t seem to understand it.
I also have used wallet for a long time but the automatic rules function does not seem to work. Just looked at support articles and followed it exactly. Still does not work. Have you had any issues with this Demi?
I'm probably been picky but I'm struggling to handle my savings account using zero based budgeting. I manually input a transfer from my checking account to my savings account but since its a transfer, my budget doesn't recognize the "expense". Is there another way to fix without having to make an expense transaction to my checking account and an income to my savings account?

And also, how would you go with a situation where you have bought an item but it happens that you refunded the amount.
Technically it's gonna be tracked as expenses in a budget planning, but also its back to your budget.
PS: possibly the best way just to not track it at all)))
There’s a function where you can transfer from Out of Wallet back to the account so it balances out! Hmm I think there’s an option to exclude it from calculation everytime you key in a transaction.
@@DemiZhuang You mean instead of marking it as an expense I just mark it as transfer out - transfer back?

Settings > Categories | You can amend existing categories but I don't think you can add. You can add sub categories.

I think the only one i face is multicurrency, e.g. if i have USD, the rate adjusts to current market, sometimes it screws w my analytics.
i have multiple accounts in my bank. one of my accounts is just for spending. one is for just savings. is there any option to just sync my spending account only?
i remember you can choose initially, if not, you can always delete the saving account from the dashboard after syncing, let me know if i am wrong

How to withdraw money form it
I've inserted last 4 years data to my credit card account, manually. Now I made payment for these credit card usage by making a transfer. That brought down my credit card account balance to Zero. However, since I made a transfer from another account (from where I made this credit card payment), my balance showing negative to this account. To make this account balance zero, I recorded an income of the same amount as reconcile. Still this amount is showing as income. ANyway to avoid this as income?

As of my understanding, you cannot change your base currency once it is setup. You can add new accounts with different currencies but sadly the analytics will always be in the base currency. You can change your base currency only if you remove all data from your account (I exported all my old currency data and then removed it and set my new base currency). Its very annoying that they haven't addressed this yet.

yes you can create a budget and they'll alert you when you're about to overspend.
