Even when I see this early iteration of them BEFORE, they BECAME the juggernaut that was EARTH, WIND, AND FIRE. This video still encourages me, because it says, "Everything, ....... has a beginning. You can see and hear the heart of Maurice even here. The raw ingredients are evident, even here. And oh yes there is Verdine.

This is history. It would be cool if someone lists the names of all the players and singers in the video.

Around this time, This version of EWF would sometimes do shows with Philip Bailey & Larry Dunn's band "Friends & Love" when EWF did shows in Denver. That's how they all met and the rest is history.

Must admit That I am highly biased. (Toward EWF) Love EWF. Everything has a beginning. These are very good and talented musicians. The EWF SOUND at this point is pretty raw though. (Make no mistake, not the musicianship though) but even still you can hear the roots of where my boys ended up. Charles Stepney was a genius. I feel like he didnt totally change Maurices vision, but he certainly refined it. You can hear Maurices influence on what EWF would later become even in this very early footage, and w older different members other than the "Classic 9" Kudis to Maurice, rest well brother.
