Am I the only one still waking up every morning to EWF....the Greatest of all time❤
No you are not!
Definitely not!! Love & Energy for bad and good days !
No. You're not alone.
Love their ENERGY! Verdine is a Beast on the Bass!
TrueeeeeeeDaT
One of my favorite Earth Wind & Fire videos. They way they performed "Magic Mind" is truly magical!!! Maurice White is truly a Genius!!! 🔥
Alot of great horn sections, during the 70s, but the Phoenix horns, was in another universe, with their playing, and showmanship !
EWF is no doubt the greatest group ever.
SIR YES SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truth.
Totally the most Fantastic Group that has inspired beautiful music and love and the love of music for generations ❤
Definitely debatable 💯💯💯
LARRY DUNN, is rocking on the keyboards! and still going strong in 2016 with Larry Dunn orchestra!
When has Larry Dunn NEVER been rockin'!? lol dude is a BEAST lol
Tom Bryant yes yes.. My teenage crush in the 70s.. So glad he's still around and productive sharing what he knows about music.
Hell yeah..lol
RIP Maurice White. The master of the universe. Feel The Fire...
Feelthefire
They just don't make bands like this one anymore ...in fact .....all the bands in that era ..were great ....EWF was one of the TOP .....RIP Maurice White ...love ya ..and thanks for sharing your musical talents with the world ....!

not much luck yet. all good though, keep on keepin on :D
@@shaft9000 What state you located?
Bands like EWF exist everywhere in almost every town theres some kids or older folks playing soul/fusion type of music but theres so much and its already been done by musicians 40+ years ago that asking for a band like this doesnt make sense cause their here waiting for you to discover them
@@shaft9000I love Philip Bailey.. I watched the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors on UTube.
Zee
Often Imitated, Never Duplicated! EWF, Elements of the Universe!
Al McKay was playing the funk out of that guitar
Earth wind & fire . Live love forever ❤
I remember performing on stage when microphones had cords. Making sure the cords didn't get tangled was built into the choreography. Needless to say, EWF was amazing! We all looked up to them as artists and role models.
Yes. Me too! I played guitar in a lot of jazz, funk, r and b and rock bands and those chords were a hazard. With the jazz bands it wasn't so bad because we didn't move around, just kind of stayed in place. I remember the first wireless I got was a Samson. It was a good unit, used it for a long time. I got a better wireless now that was less expensive even with inflation factored in. I was never in a band that was at the level of EWF. None of my bands lasted that long. But man, what a career EWF had. Their shows were like a visit from God and the angels. Loved the energy, the production, the vibe. They had so much brass up on that stage it was blinding, like golden rays from the sun. I just loved it. Verdine is a badass bass player, up there with Larry Graham, Lewis Johnson, Bootsy, etc.
@@angusorvid8840 Yes indeed!
My absolute favorite group of all time!,❤❤❤
I remember this EWF era. When they ended a concert like this, man you were you were SPENT!!! Incomparable!!
One of the greatest bands that put on a spectacular show... this version of Fantasy is CLASSIC!! Phillip Bailey and that opera falsetto is the best l have ever heard. I met him at the Fox Hills Mall ( back then it was called) when l lived in Culver City , Ca.. l love the end as he harmonizes his voice .....
He was wearing that horn section OUT!
Went to this tour at Nassau Coliseum and MSG . The peak and zenith of one of the greatest bands of all time!
The genius of Maurice White!
One of the most under appreciated producer, arranger, innovator, musician, vocalist, leader and entertainer of all time.
He set a standard of excellence that few will ever come close to.
Maurice proved that musical excellence and sophistication can also be extremely successful.
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE !
I sure agree 👍 💯 Maurice White was truly a gifted musician and genius!!!
Full on Right on 100% Bro!
RIP Maurice, and thank you for all the amazing music and vibes coming out of my little transistor radio way back when.....
+scohan44 For real...
I saw EWF at the Neil Blaisedell Center in Honolulu... They played over two hours continuously when they were in their Pyramid Power Genre. Shook the hands of one of the the band members from the lodge balcony. Always loved them, their music, and the enjoyment and fun and beauty of it all... Aloha
I did not know Mr. Verdine got down on bass like that. Amazing!
Earth Wind & Fire brought the house down!!
I was lucky enough to see them on this tour. The first concert I ever saw. Set a high standard. Boogied our asses off that night!
1979 my first year in college ewf came to lsu the best concert of my lifetime the band sound just like the album we didn't want the concert to stop the next day at su the talk was all the rage about the concert
Just absolutely amazing. How is it even possible to move and play and sing on that high energy level with such precision for a whole show???.
I was always a fan but i never actually got to see them in their prime. I missed out....
I seen them in the mid 70's WOWWW!
Was born in 70 grew up listening to the greatest band ever rest in peace Maurice
WOW! LOVE THESE GUYS! FOREVER EWF!
Many don't know that Maurice White-Leader, Fred White-Drummer, and Verdine White- Bass were brothers. Bands with family at the core have a certain chemistry that is great to watch.
And that was MANY of them! Sly & The Family Stone, Mandrill, Kool & The Gang, Sister Sledge ( I mean...) Midnight Starr, Heatwave, etc.
No other group in history could pull off magic Mind - spectacular!
Yup. That is a mind blowing groove. Untouchable
One of the greatest bands ever!!!
I saw this show at the Richmond Coliseum in 78. When they took off the spaceman helmets, the crowd lost their mind! 😆
The absolute best....
Maurice at the height of his powers. Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Earth Wind & Fire were one of the greatest bands ever....
PreaChhhhhhhH
They still are my guy ✊🏾
The greatest band on the planet 🌎 WIND and fire 🔥
Was there in Rotterdam ... and now I am tearing up all the time ...
The lead trumpet is incredible. Range and endurance to keep playing that high and accurately at that insane tempo.
best live band ever
Verdine shot it out of the park! Wow!!
Fred killin' them drums!!! In the pocket tight!! Stomp!! @10:21
Minha Banda de cabeceira, Earth Wind & Fire, eterno!!
Pure talent. No women on stage with fake tits or butts. Sex was not a factor it's called great musicians who loved what they did
wtf?
Agreed. No need for dancers with a great band.
@@andresfelipemarquezochoa9804 His statement was clear what part did YOU not understand??
no need to belittle women's bodies
@@JohnHaslamMusic
GTFOH! Go watch lil Kim’s video any of them from 2022 and get back at me
That was the beat jam session I've ever seen
At there height here. Great musicians.
Wonderful group.
Eu os amo muito!!!
Is it just me, or was these kats grooving way harder in the 70s . These pockets the band were going into are priceless Fred white!!!! Drums!! Drive man drive
Ah, Phil got the phrases mixed up on "Fantasy" . . . but that's cool! He's always on key and in rhythm!!!
We will never see the likes of this ever again. Such a high level of energy, performance, talent, originality et al. Think of all the amazing artists they inspired (Prince, Michael, Bruno on and on)
UNFORGETTABLE Maurice White love EWF.
Greatest American band. I stand by that.
Simone Spanu Def one of the best. Live, Stevie Wonder, Journey (in the 80’s), The Eagles were all also outstanding live. Flawless harmonies, tight rhythm sections, and great energy.
Isley brother s ect.......... AWB war Ohio player
@@michaelgarrett4834 The Marshall Tucker Band, seen EW&F in 76&77, best show I've ever seen.

5:05 that keyboard haunts me it's so beautiful
Maurice thanks for the time peace in harmony
I was totally into kiss as a little kid in the 70s but my mom was into EWF and they grabbed ahold of me and I never heard a groove Soo tight and opened up my young mind..and when kiss and EWF both came to town in 1979 (separately) my mom wouldn't take me to either?!?! I was 9 and crushed and I still bust on my mom for it lol ironically my first concert was in 1979 and my dad took me to see Buddy Rich Big Band!
Ohhhh mamamia
I'm on the younger side but my family exposed me to this type of music I heard it as a child and I'm in my mid 30 I love this band Maurice was a musical genius
Esta música es un lujo para deleitar al mundo, hace la Excelencia musical, son Genios ,viva EWF .
They played for about twice as long when I saw them in 1979.
The concert isn't shown here completely. It's an edited version, probably made for Japanese TV.
This was not the complete show.
In fact in was out of order on the set list as well.
Fuckin' Unreal how incredible they were. There isn't any group this great today let alone one of this type and size.simply because the cost of mounting and travelling with this many musicians and equipment is impossily high unless you are alread famous and making millions. And of course the first need to have this level of talent.
Banda maravilhosa, amoooooo...❤🤩
The Band at it s best!
Absolutely bad ass, love this band and this is what music is, happy and fun, not the b.s. today.
Sem dúvidas a maior banda do mundo!
Love love love EWF.... That horn section is one best ever. I was 17 years old I caught their word tour Fall of 1981 on a Thursday. We drove from New Orleans to Baton Rouge (Centroplex) in a 1972 225 (lime green) with bad shocks. We bounced the whole way there and back. Best time ever. I couldn't wait to go to school the next morning with my EWF tee.
I love it!
If I could go back in time I would switch places with you during that. And a heartbeat!
....no it was not...that was in Japan in 79
I LOVE the horns!!
@@mrwilljones3015 WTH are you talking about you fuckin' clown. My response was to a person who deleted his comment....shush yo' damn mouth fo' you get your tongue snapped out!

Sencillamente EXTRAORDINARIO S
Este tipo de ejecuciones son las que llevan una banda mas alla de los niveles miticos. Brillantes, funk de genios.
I has gone this show when I was 16 years old , BUDOKAN . only 8 song....
Man, That Horn Section tho!!!
We're going to see them at the Capital Jazz Fest in June. Can't wait!
JDK, Inc. : The ONE and ONLY .......PHENIX HORNS! The least I could do was contribute to your enthusiasm!
This band was on top of it's game! Camera work I have to say was on point in this production!
BRAVO EARTH WIND AND FIRE 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Good old high energy stuff!!!!!!!
WoW!!!!!!! YES INDEED THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of younger fans may not know, but EWF's peak/prime recording and performance years were in the entire decade of the 1970's.This video is them at their absolute peak,my opinion...
Que espectacular! Me emociona totalmente está súper mega ultra banda... La Rollos Roice de las bandas! No hay más allá!!!
Magic mind...just blows your mind..
I love Maurice because it's coolest and sexy.
Their peak.
My sister took me to see EWF in 1977, for my 10th birthday. The Brothers Johnson opened for them. Los Angeles Forum. Better than Disneyland, and I love Disneyland. I asked what the funny smell in the smokey air was and my sister said she would explain that smokey smell when I got a little older...haha. Bruno reminds me of the "whole band" concept and entertaining from the starting bell to the ending bell. And when you leave, you are forever changed, in a good way. I have only seen Bruno on television but my daughter saw Bruno live and her reaction was just like my reaction to EWF in 1977.
Thanks for posting EWF, the best band ever.
ROCKIN THE HOUSE!
Very cool!
Earth Wind and Fire is Greatest Band I have ever seen this done in 1979 there no band do this today in 2022 EWF Forever
This needs to be remastered and released
