    I had a Pavillion for 5 years it served me well it was actually very sturdy..I had dropped it and the screen was cracked but no black spots and still worked just fine..I just got the spectre today so I'm excited to see

      @@Jana-wn4ph so at first I mainly used it for sims 4...it gets pretty hot when playing sims but sims is a big game so that's normal..it runs very well for sims....the screen is gorgeous...I still can't get over how pretty is is...and I own the smallest model..as far as day to day use its snappy and gets the job done very nicely.. not a super technical person so I don't know all the specs etc. But for a general everyday use and gaming it's very very nice....the fingerprint sensor doesn't always work for me...idk if it's my fingers or the sensor..but the facial recognition sign in is fast as heck...my only complaint is I wish the speakers were louder..they are on the bottom which makes no sense..but that's minor cuz I u can get speakers or use headphones

    The lack of Thunderbolt in Pavilion and Envy ruined them them for me. Normally, I would prefer a small form factor notebook like those that I can easily dock when I get home and use my multiple display to do intense works without emptying bank account.

    Between Hp pavilion and Hp spectre which would be more suitable for an art student?

    • @GHOST-cy7rc
      @GHOST-cy7rc 3 года назад +27

      It's like asking, between a Toyota Sienna and a G Wagon which is better for off roading ...
      If you could afford a Spectre then go for it, it's the best HP laptop for any situation, student of professional.
      However, being a student, shortness of cash is always a major factor, so that said, I'd say you should settle for the Pavilion 15 X360 but if you could, then pony up a little and get a 12GB RAM model with at least core i5 onboard.
      Run away from 4GB RAM or core i3 laptops, and if you can, avoid 8GB if you intend doing graphic intensive works done.
      Good luck.

      If cash is short for the Spectre, I would settle with the in between option and get the HP Envy or HP Envy x360. The i7, 12gb ram, 516 SSDs are usually on sale

    And why?

    • @manny_k2988
      @manny_k2988 Год назад +1

      I am a biomedical engineering student. We code a lot using python as well as running heavy engineering softwares and it runs just fine. What really blew my mind was the fact that I’ve gotten the intel core i5 and it still runs just fine. It’s cheap too so that’s a +1. 3 of my friends have the envy (which uses ryzen 7) and they’ve run into more problems than me owning the pavilion in the last 3 years. Also the pavilion does have light up keyboard and finger scanner.

    My opinion, never buy any HP Product or Service, bought a laptop priced 40k hardly 3 years old with extended warranty, Hard Disk Crashed as well as Battery is dead, all my data is lost, no help from HP, have mailed multiple times but no solution offered and even visited serv8ce venter but they did nothing. Mailing them for the past one month but no solution. Cheap and low quality components are used in HP Laptops especially their 15 series Notebooks. Never in my life will I purchase a HP product or service nor recommend others. My suggestion is don't even buy a Pen Drive of this brand.
