I have the 13" OLED 4K display. Wow! Was not sure till I had it on for 5min, then went it is a must. Best display in bright room, even outside. Just too good till you see it you won't believe the difference. No angle issues, great on a window seat on a plane, even with shades open. Camera can seem dim, just make sure there is no backlighting only front lighting and you will be pleased.
That’s awesome I own one myself and I love it well worth the price good quality looks amazing. I use it for photoshop and gaming and I have no complaints about the quality worth every dollar.
Just bought the 13.3 inch Spectre in the very top configuration a few months ago, then they go and update them with the 11th gen chips and a 14 inch model, AND Thunderbolt 4. 🙃
Imagine buying the intel envy x360. Do yourselves a favor and buy the AMD version. Intel is just trying to hide that there is a better version of itself on the same line

I just bought the HP Pavilion x360 14" with Intel i5 10th gen CPU and 512 GB SSD for $799. Then an hour later, I saw the HP Envy x360 15.6" with AMD Ryzen 7 4700 and 512 GB SSD for the same price after Black Friday $200 discount. I immediately returned the Pavilion X360 right after it's delivered to my home. I didn't even open the box. lol. The laptop is awesome.

You should always check for laptops which could perform best and w/ high resolution display (yeap, talking abt CPUs/GPUs), the storage size, and bc this is a laptop, check for it's portability and design (if u adore aesth). But ofc I'm broke af so I check for affordability as well lmao.

Are you sure. I’m looking at the product page for the spec with the i7 and the rtx2060 gpu saying it has the vapor chamber. I think it’s only in the ones with the 2060, not just the i9 version.
I can't get over the maximum screen brightness of the hp envy x360 15 with the ryzen 5 in the UK... 250 nits. My laptop currently is the hp envy 13 aq0000na which has a 400 nit display, but isn't convertible or anything. The price is really attractive but I can't get over the screen..
Is 250 nits display really that bad? Want to buy hpx360 pavilion for my wife but after doing a bit of research I discovered it's also only 250 nits display.
@@tomhightower1980 My laptop before this 13.3 laptop I'm currently using was the Asus vivobook 15 X152DA and it had a 220 nit anti-glare panel. Switched it on again and it still holds up. I think if there's a matt coating, not a big deal, but with hp's glossy displays, I'm not too sure.

No clue why they always feel the need to make their spectre seem more premium by refusing edgeless/bezelless on Envy line. I just hate the look of the Spectre ... with a passion.
If you get a Spectre with an U-series chip (H-series chips are for performance), the battery life is amazing. I get around 10.5 hours of continuous RUclips viewing using 4k resolution; 100% brightness; battery saver off; Wifi and Bluetooth on; and power mode on balance - best performance. And over 14.5 hours using 1080p resolution, 50% brightness; battery saver, Wifi and Bluetooth all on; and power mode on balance - best battery life. Every RUclipsr I've seen has only tested Spectres w/H-series chips, maxed out the settings, and then claim battery life is poor (3-6 hours).
I have Hp Envy x360 and its amazing but: -The rubber underneath the laptop comes off pretty easily. - Silver color become dirty very quickly and finger printy - I can use the screen as mirror because of there is no anti reflect film. -The mouse lags sometime (but my mom threw water accidentally on touchpad, so i will give it a pass) Other than that i am hundred percent satisfied. And my Envy has more ports shown in the video even though i bought in 2020.
Both are great and feel almost Apple quality. Speedy, great screen, great feel. But I already have a gaming laptop that is super powerful. I settled for a compact Yoga 6/7 size and it is great for speed and great for in bed/travel. If I didn't have the gaming laptop, the Envy would check all the boxes.
OLED screen is gorgeous but it runs a little hot on my lap sometimes. BESTBUY had the i5 for $850 , I snagged one I found that if you use hp command center to set the laptop to balanced , THEN UNINSTALL HP command center , then update to the latest bios , go into bios settings and set the fans to always enabled It will run a little cooler. Honestly though I'm returning mine possibly it just bakes my balls on my lap. Otherwise OLED screen is a dream!!!

Why was the comparison between the clamshell Envy 15"/Spectre x360 15", instead of the Envy x360 15"/Spectre x360 15"? Why compare a clamshell against an x360, instead of an x360 against another x360 from HP's premium lineup?
The power difference between the Spectre and Envy x360 is massive. The Spectre has 1650ti in it, the Envy x360 (Amd or Intel) has integrated graphics. The Envy 15 with a 2060 is more comparable power and components wise.

I originally bought an Envy, but cancelled immediately when I saw that you can only get it with a glossy screen, and I want anti glare. The HP guy said it was possible, but it wasn't. I want an AMD, 15 inch. The Spectre only has one USB A port, which is a problem, since I need one just for the wireless mouse. I need to buy one this weekend before my laptop dies. I was considering an Omen, it has plenty of ports, anti glare screen, AMD, so I asked a tech guy on another site, and he said I need higher resolution. Back to square one.
@@katgirlblue I have the HP envy 15 2020. The screen is a bit glossy but the 4K version is anti-glare as advertised on their specifications page. If you want a gorgeous display I highly recommend reordering the 4k HP Envy 15 as for it's price and power compared to most similar priced premium build laptops it is well worth it. I think it's the 1080p version that doesn't have anti-glare...here's the model nunber of the one you're looking for: "hp envy 15 ep0008na".
I would choose neither because of 3 core reason, for me it's important to have 1) Ethernet port ( there are numerous times when we may have to fall back on good old fashioned ethernet cable/port and it's not pratical to carry around a USB to ethernet port converter - which are expensive, takes space and often provide less speed ) 2) I prefer a hybrid storage of SSD and HDD , or atleast dual separate storage , that way if my OS crashes and I need to do factory reset , my data would be still safe and secure . And no Cloud and Carrying around HDD for everyday use is not practical for everyone. 3) You are correct , majority of people using SD Card reader slots are users of DSLRs , so what good is a micro or nano SD card slot for us 🤷. I think it's great to go sleek and stylish but at what cost 🤷

I just bought the HP Envy X360,2 in 1 core i7, 16GB ram, 512 gb SSD, and it’s not opening. I ordered it online from HP website brand new and it’s not opening. When I try to charge it, the orange light comes on then goes off. I pressed the power button so many times and hold the power button long enough but it’s still not responding. What could be the cause?

You are correct good Sir. Spectre is HP's top-shelf line of laptops; followed by Envy, then Pavillion lines. That said, it is possible to get a better chipset in the best Envy than the lowest tier Spectre (not true for Pavillion). There are also HP Omen laptops for gamers and HP Elitebooks for business folks (both can also have better chipsets). If you watch enough tech videos, you'll soon understand why RUclipsrs don't have a "real" job in a Tech company...lol
The HP Envy 15 2020 laptops have much more more powerful GPU options available compared to the HP Spectre x360 2020 line. For the price compared to the spectre...well worth it for a laptop with premium build and suprising gaming capabilities.

But keep hitting storage glitches lately and considering One of these laptops or the MacBook Air…I love the look of the spectre 360 best but i keep hearing mixed reviews 😭 would you personally use the spectre 360 to video edit ? @@nunuros its annoying while laying in the bed in silence without headphones. but i am using it with external monitor and headphones so i dont notice it anymore. but before buying be sure to check the display!!! it has a strange pixel plancement with some gaps between them so while scrolling u can clearly see gaps between pixels.
Funny how this compares the spectre x360 against the normal Envy 15 not the Envy x360 15- which killed the spectre variant which has Intel instead of AMD. Spectre only has looks going for it. shame the spectre doesn't have an AMD option for the CPU.
my X360 15 (purchased 2015) had sound probs from beginnings; sound left 50% about 3 yrs ago; 1/4 of keyboard died 1.5 yrs ago; now need battery replacement--HP does not support. So, given that probably will get X360 again. Anything to get away from Dell Customer Service. Computers only last about 4 yrs--what a rip off. WISH they would magnetize the power cord. Just bends and breaks and they to replace.

Why was the comparison between the clamshell Envy 15"/Spectre x360 15", instead of the Envy x360 15"/Spectre x360 15"? Why compare a clamshell against an x360, instead of an x360 against another x360 from HP's premium lineup?

The power difference between the Spectre and Envy x360 is massive. The Spectre has 1650ti in it, the Envy x360 (Amd or Intel) has integrated graphics. The Envy 15 with a 2060 is more comparable power and components wise.
still rocking my xps 9575 2 in 1 :D despite the battery that degraded pretty quick, it is still a solid machine capable of playing most games even with that vega m

I originally bought an Envy, but cancelled immediately when I saw that you can only get it with a glossy screen, and I want anti glare. The HP guy said it was possible, but it wasn't. I want an AMD, 15 inch. The Spectre only has one USB A port, which is a problem, since I need one just for the wireless mouse. I need to buy one this weekend before my laptop dies. I was considering an Omen, it has plenty of ports, anti glare screen, AMD, so I asked a tech guy on another site, and he said I need higher resolution. Back to square one.
@@katgirlblue I have the HP envy 15 2020. The screen is a bit glossy but the 4K version is anti-glare as advertised on their specifications page.
If you want a gorgeous display I highly recommend reordering the 4k HP Envy 15 as for it's price and power compared to most similar priced premium build laptops it is well worth it.
I think it's the 1080p version that doesn't have anti-glare...here's the model nunber of the one you're looking for: "hp envy 15 ep0008na".

I'll go with the HP Envy 15. Power and performance over anything else on a laptop for me
I would choose neither because of 3 core reason, for me it's important to have
1) Ethernet port ( there are numerous times when we may have to fall back on good old fashioned ethernet cable/port and it's not pratical to carry around a USB to ethernet port converter - which are expensive, takes space and often provide less speed )
2) I prefer a hybrid storage of SSD and HDD , or atleast dual separate storage , that way if my OS crashes and I need to do factory reset , my data would be still safe and secure . And no Cloud and Carrying around HDD for everyday use is not practical for everyone.
3) You are correct , majority of people using SD Card reader slots are users of DSLRs , so what good is a micro or nano SD card slot for us 🤷.
I think it's great to go sleek and stylish but at what cost 🤷

My question is how is the hinge on the envy? I bought the basic one pretty much. I just added the 512gb ssd and 16gb ram with the touchscreen. I left the gtx the same with the 1650ti.

I just bought the HP Envy X360,2 in 1 core i7, 16GB ram, 512 gb SSD, and it’s not opening. I ordered it online from HP website brand new and it’s not opening. When I try to charge it, the orange light comes on then goes off. I pressed the power button so many times and hold the power button long enough but it’s still not responding.
What could be the cause?

I'll never buy HP again. Bought that hp spectre x360 6 years ago it wasn't too bad at first because its one of the best laptops then after a year the motherboard burnt. My friends hp has a problem with Bluetooth too. So decided to choose Microsoft Surface and it was far better..

Now I'm just confused, I'm new in the Laptop world and I've always thought Spectres were HP's top shelf products and as such, more powerful than the Envy line of laptops.
You are correct good Sir. Spectre is HP's top-shelf line of laptops; followed by Envy, then Pavillion lines.
That said, it is possible to get a better chipset in the best Envy than the lowest tier Spectre (not true for Pavillion).
There are also HP Omen laptops for gamers and HP Elitebooks for business folks (both can also have better chipsets).
If you watch enough tech videos, you'll soon understand why RUclipsrs don't have a "real" job in a Tech company...lol

The HP Envy 15 2020 laptops have much more more powerful GPU options available compared to the HP Spectre x360 2020 line. For the price compared to the spectre...well worth it for a laptop with premium build and suprising gaming capabilities.

@@nunuros its annoying while laying in the bed in silence without headphones. but i am using it with external monitor and headphones so i dont notice it anymore. but before buying be sure to check the display!!! it has a strange pixel plancement with some gaps between them so while scrolling u can clearly see gaps between pixels.
I just want one that I can use for video editing but so far hp sounds more for the office, and I'm on a budget 😥
I bought the specter i always use the external usb c hub i use the screen for editing and put a keyboard and mouse
Funny how this compares the spectre x360 against the normal Envy 15 not the Envy x360 15- which killed the spectre variant which has Intel instead of AMD. Spectre only has looks going for it. shame the spectre doesn't have an AMD option for the CPU.

Why didn't you compare a x360 envy against the x360 spectre? If you want a convertible, one of the ones in your video isn't an option by default
my X360 15 (purchased 2015) had sound probs from beginnings; sound left 50% about 3 yrs ago; 1/4 of keyboard died 1.5 yrs ago; now need battery replacement--HP does not support. So, given that probably will get X360 again. Anything to get away from Dell Customer Service. Computers only last about 4 yrs--what a rip off. WISH they would magnetize the power cord. Just bends and breaks and they to replace.
