Lyrics:
The sea wants to kiss the golden shore.
The sunlight warms your skin.
All the beauty that's been lost before, wants to find us again.
I can't fight you anymore; it's you I'm fighting for.
The sea throws rocks together but time, leaves us polished stones.
We can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Birds fly high in the summer sky and rest on the breeze.
The same wind will take care of you and I, we'll build our house in the trees.
Your heart is on my sleeve, did you put it there with a magic marker.
For years I would believe, that the world, couldn't wash it away
Cause we can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
We can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love? - Видеоклипы
No auto tune. No lip synching. Pure raw talent.
Dom Roct Raw Talent... More like hard work since they were born.
Dom Roct
"audio tune" and "lip sinking" are no actual words or things, Mr. sound engineer. You mean "backing track" and "lip synchronization"...
+Zeizar daaaaaaamn
+dXb lol your actually wrong too. so don't judge when you don't know yourself
+Dom Roct agreed
That takes some balls. Playing like that. No distortion, No lights.
Dude they been doing it for over 30 years.
indeed 😎
As you get older your voice is not what it once was. Most artists would not risk it playing like this without any safety net.
the best song!!
26/09/16
brilliant 😀
One of the best video on Toutube
Bono's talent is staggering. He is great in the studio. He is a force of nature live. Not only is his performance truly superhuman, but he gets everyone in the building to lose their mind. Basically, he rocked the house, the way that no one can do today.
Imagine trying to argue with him though...he is a force of nature indeed...
@@TheStrataminor It must be hard to be humble when you're that good.
This has to be the best live performance in this type of setting. The pure raw talent is unreal
Have you seen Bono and Edge perform Stuck in a Moment on Letterman?
Yesssss ❤
Will Smith wants to hit Bono so bad.
you do not know whatcha talking about
@@billgeoghegan4822 hello no I didn't
Still visiting in 2020 and it sounds better than ever !
Cause Bono voice bests itself
Totally right!!!
totally!
Love this song and performance so much. You really see Bono’s showmanship as he engages the audience and guests as it builds towards the end. Never tire of his voice.
I have to revisit this often and play it for anybody who'll listen. Love U2.
its 8 years later and I can still feel the energy, wow, fantastic
Same man, same
Watch Stuck in the moment late show
Unbelievable song
For sure, this is so good!
its soo good
Will Smith was like " Damn there goood "
Incredible humble Adam Clayton, letting the magic go on and enjoying it without his share of merit. Lots of love to this underrated bass player
Any idea what make his acoustic bass is? I can’t make out what it says on the headstock… and yes, great and modest bass player. It shone through on their first US #1, With Or Without You.
No more "underrated" for goodness sake! Enough, stop! No one in U2 is underrated!
Whoever was in that audience that night, witnessed one of the most special live performances in human history. Not a big U2 fan, but damn......hats off to them
You must be a Point Break (Keanu Reeves). Lol ! Luckily for me I was fortunate enough to be there. Took my sister for her birthday. I've seen Jimmy 3 times so far. Shook his hand and had him say, "Hello", to my pregnant sister at the time. She even named her son Jimmy. Go figure ! Back to U2. Like you I was never a huge fan but this is absolutely beautiful. Probably my favorite song to date. I listen to it every single day before be. Anyways stay safe, healthy and strong..

@@anthonystrazza959 thank you for the kind words. What a special treat for you and your sister.
Huge U2 fan! You were born in the wrong era apparently . They jump started MTV and are likely the only ones left that can still bring it. All of them are close to 60 now. Pretty dam impressive!
I would venture to guess Will Smith is thinking the same thing
Seriously u should listen to them more. You won’t regret it
Let's hope good music like this never dies. :)

They are becoming more "Coldplay" like
Any Day ??????
Any Day U2 are beyond any band today, so they can't become Coldplay
I'm not a hardcore fan of U2 but this performance blew me away. The reaction of the audience was sooo telling
Maybe you should become one....❤
Same here. Pure talent

Not a big fan
But this is something else
Bono's voice has continued to grow over the years. Great band U2 👌
Now that's real music. No auto-tune or any modern crap like that. Pure magic.
Exactly man, no machines helping him.

lol which idiot says so? lmao i wanna fight them bono is the fucking boss!
correct man😀
Here I am 40 years later and still they give me goosebumps... 🥺
This has to be the best live performance in this type of setting. The pure raw talent is unreal. And I can't get over how much I love this song.
Look at Bono When he performs, he doesnt just sing it, He feels it all through his body.... Every Word... Legend is an often overused term to describe average musicians. This man is an untouchable LEGEND
Conor Smith you re right...amazing
Conor Smith
This is what makes this performance even better. This is why great musicians must be listened live, they are able to make a deep connection between them and you.
it is a religion experience
that is so true
U2 simply is THE BEST
+Sanchezz ARE*
+Sanchezz They are heroes : D
always hated U2. still do
elektrolyte so why are you here?
Dunno... must have been a mistake... don't even know why I am taking the trouble to answer you.
You have to be a very special type of musician to sit there and belt out something so magical like that. One of the greatest bands that have ever been. We will never see anyone like them again. May they continue for a lot longer.
YES- A SPECIAL BAND
Magnificent❤
This song was one of the favourites of my dad ! He passed away this summer… Since I listen it almost every day, when I’m not okay ( really often) but when I’m okay I listen it too.
Every weekend I take my car for a tour and I turn on the music with it. Volume at 100% !!!
Thanks guy to help me to accept the fact that I’ll never see my dad again ! This was our moment with him, now it’s my moment !!!
Maybe the only times u2 was the song of funerals…
Thanks again U2 !
Lionel, 19YO Belgium ( that’s why my English is so bad ) ❤
Rip your dad, he's your angel now
Love to you Lionel, it's an awful thing that's happened to you.. But listen to this with the happiness in your heart that your father would.. Not with an anxious memory, but a memory of all the good things he brough you xx
Thanks guys ! Step by step I’m going to be okay.
Thanks ❤️
I'm French and I understand everything you've written 😉 However, I feel sorry for your loss... You dad had good taste in music.. ❤May he rest in peace..
Thinking of you Lionel, from Australia 🤗
A gem of a song - no one can come close to the way Bono sings literally from his soul .
A song of upliftment.
A song of hope
An anthem of Love
So freakn true
Absolutely love this song and this performance!
Facts.
No one, huh? 😂😂
U2 are fucking legends. I will never forget the first time I heard their music 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with their sound..
+J. Kociskova No se un carajo de Ingles. pero concuerdo contigo!! :v
And Bono is 55 I think now and he still has a golden voice
Good Lord. His voice is of an angel. People. Believe. It is a gift from God to be able to sing like this. Shivers when he sings.
There is only one word to describe this performance " MAGIC". It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Does anybody have a time machine and tickets to this show? Such a special moment, I would be ecstatic if I could experience this in person.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
That right there are what we call real musicians!!!

I like this, the best musicians made the best music, so amazing
These guys should start a band.
u serious?
👍😊
What ?
@@olex11w57 why do you all think lol ? he's fucking joking like jeez.
Yeh with band name "Will you too"
This has to be the purest form of raw talent ever. Jimmy has a look on his face that tells the story. I have watched this so many times. It brings me joy!!
U2 are the Biggest Longest-Running Band in the world, period. Having been this successful for 40+ years U2’s record eclipses The Beetles/Stones etc at this stage. Quite phenomenal……..
I love Fallon's face while he's sitting there watching them play. It's almost like his whole laugh flashes before his eyes and he says to himself, "how the hell did I get here?" This was probably the most memorable moment I've ever seen on entertainment television. What a prefect night.
Well said!! Fallon's no slouch as a rock musician himself, and I think that's pretty much exactly what he's thinking. These are the kind of magic experiences we lived for in the hippie days -- it was very emotional for me.
I remember when I was a child I would hear U2 in my parent's car: With or Without You, Where the Streets Have No Name, etc. I enjoyed them, but it wasn't until college until I could fully appreciate the lyrics and emotion. Each song is like a mini-story that shares a particular emotion. Bono makes you feel it in every song, and it looks like he truly enjoys what he does.
Would kill to be able to sit where Fallon was in this clip. If you can't feel U2, you're dead inside.
My very first U2 video was Mysterious Ways on Bevis and Butthead lol
feel urself
No need to, your girl's always over
Well said. I feel same way.
Totally completely agree they are my religion
I Can't stop watching this video. OMG the moment where the Roots are playing ! This is just amazing !
I saw Roots live this summer with Red Hot Chili in London...PURE GENIUSES, I loved them
That was brilliant! Everything, Will Smith, The Roots, U2... Everything!!!

lmfao... you so right dude!!
long live to the good music, just the beauty of a guitar and a good voice, long live to rock music
Brilliant. His voice is unmatched.

6 years later and this performance still brings tears.
Yes
Agree with you
Tell me about it. The first time I watch this performance somehow I got teary eyed for no reason and I'm not a big U2 fan.
Same here, such a great performance.

ok going to let you know my love of U2....back in the 70s living in Cork ,Ireland heard of this Dublin band that played In a club just up the road...U2 graffiti everywhere ,letting us know watch these guys, nearly 40 years later they have been a constant companion both as musicians but also as proud Irishmen. Delighted to see so many posts from young people here just as I introduced my son to these fabulous guys ,360 tour ...same reaction in love .
:O
+gary taylor I dream about having a chance like that sense I was 6 years old, I'm 18 now and still dreaming : D

I go to school just up the road from their school
I DONT KNOW ?IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE 80 THE FIRST ALBUM WAS PUBLISHED AT 20 OF OCTOBER 1980 IN ENGLAND AND IRELAND.AND IN USA IN 3 MARCH 1981
What a experience for Jimmie, Will, the band and anyone blessed to have had the opportunity to hear this!😊
Just brilliant! I love the way Roots just fitted into the music so effortlessly. You just can't beat great musicians.
Awesooooome
Daaayum, this is why they are widely considered to be one of the best live acts in the world.
I'm 15 and i remember when my dad showed me U2 and I fell in love, the first song I heard I think was vertigo. So that was like 10 years ago, and my first concert I went to, I was 10 it was at Denver. I absolutely love U2
Same here :). I'm your age and my dad also showed me U2 'cause he is great fan of them. The only differences between us aer this that my first U2's song was "Get on your Boots" and unfortunetly I have never been to their concert...
Vertigo got me into them my band
same! I'm your age too, I fell in love with the miracle. and this year we finally got to see them live (: (my parents had been there before but me and my brother were too young back then) and it was breathtaking.
+Ford Rages I thought this was gonna be one of those "Im only 15 and I listen to good music" comments, but I was wrong. Nice.
Same exact for me, im just not lucky enough to go to a concert
Best band in '82 when I first started listening to them and not much has changed....
When you can sing this good with acoustics that says it all. Pure talent. Nothing else.
I prefer this version to the studio. So lovely seeing these guys age together, and to age with them
Me too. Its fantastic!
Yeah, I was thinking the same: this has more spirit than the studio recording.
I ❤️ mature U2. They've always said they're a live band. That the songs only come to life after they've sung them in front of (/with) an audience a few times. So grateful for RUclips!
We're all around the same age. Bono and Adam are a few months older than me and Edge and Larry are younger. It's being that close in age that made me notice them, that and the faith they expressed at the beginning.
This has got to be one of my favorite live performances ever. So good!
Great tune and band. We tried with my friend from R&O to review this great song. Maybe we succeeded, maybe not, we let you be the judge if you have two or three minutes to spare and a thumb up or down to add, come listen and judge us here :-) : ruclips.net/video/yiUkR6YUNgU/видео.html and stay saf
Same here I watch it and play it on my acoustic regular such a great song and prefer to album version as do wi many other live performers from the great artists
Very true.. I don't understand why this song hit me so late.. isn't there an official video for this song?
Me too. From Brazil..14_11/2020
Same and oh so relevant present day more than ever!❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
So much passion always from U2. Humble, pure, passion and compassion for humans. I love them so much❤
That "oh yea yea yea"! At the end ,🤗 goosebumps
Amazing performance...U2 is one of the greatest...
I think the same man.
Its 2021, anyone is still into this masterpiece !
Hell yes my friend
Still here
Oh yes
Love it, when roots come in wow! X
nver tired of seeing this
A pretty example of "give a heart and soul" on a song, this perforance bring me to U2 in a right time of my life.
The Moment when the song starts to carry you into something special….😎🎸only artists like U2 can do…..
and the haters still say that bono is overated.. mans this voice is just killer
Shame he's such a twat. But I agree his voice is fantastic, not so much now though.
F the Haters.
if he is overrated .... what is the rest ????
Who?
U2 is unique, universal and unrivaled!
Don't feed the trolls
So many can perform in a stadium, so few in your living room.
True
you're so right
It can perform it in a stadium! My respect

Most underrated band ever to exist.. People fall back to the apple situation.. "The sea throws rocks together, but time leaves us polished stone" .. Fuck me can you get more philosophical! For me there has never been a band that has produced such meaningful songs over a longer time.. Take the time to appreciate people!!
So pure, so intense, so real, so authentic, so U2...
This is the best live Performance ever. Better than the original

Me too, U2 and Pearl jam. They passed through the rockstars disaster thing
Or crazy Sandles even..
His voice is awesome I watched the live version 10 years ago and was blown away with how you could feel the sincerity in his voice.
Bono truly has such an unique and beautiful voice, this performance is just raw talent.
Not a huge U2 fan but some of their live performances are so freaking powerful. Bono is soo talented. This one is just perfect, and the lyrics are truly meaningful
Truly!
Same. This is the only song that I really listen to from them. I love it so much. And specifically this performance. The other song I know I like is Bloody Sunday and I rarely hear that one. I just like the songs that make you feel something like this.

Oh Bono, you have carried so many so far. Thank you guys
It's been years and Bono still believes in their music and feels it.
Bono’s voice was on point here
Best he’s sang in years, falsetto was marvellous
Niall Doherty - Haze - Bono suffered from severe allergies for years and had no idea. After he saw an allergist he was told what foods to avoid and ever since his voice has come back to form
