      I love Elvis music- but I still prefer Frank for his own songs over anyone else. My way cannot ever be matched the way Frank sang it. Elvis sang it nice, but I still preferred Franks version of it.
      Frank was very good to Elvis and helped him loaning him planes and just help in general so that secrets didn’t leak. If you told Frank it’s a secret, Frank held it.
      Frank was good to his friends. If you his friend, that was it.

    Great interview! But the reason the Scorsese biopic never came to fruition is because the Sinatra estate wouldn’t allow him to explore Sinatra’s mafia ties, which would be integral to the film.
    A biopic shouldn’t cherry pick best moments, it should be completely true to the character it’s covering.

    • @mr.balloffur
      @mr.balloffur Год назад

      Then no biopic would've ever been made, you can only say so much in two hours. The mafia is sensationalism and nothing more.

      Absolutely true and i don't see anything wrong with covering that part of his life in a movie i don't think it would make him look bad in anyway

      Whaaaat??? "there were better ones" Are you joking. There has never been a singer to come close to Sinatra and looks like there never will. He was also blessed with good acting talent

    • @mr.balloffur
      @mr.balloffur Год назад

      @@carrie20074 Then you don't listen to anybody else. Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, all of them had better voices. Sinatra superfans don't see anything beyond their own Sinatra records. There are plenty of singers today who have tremendous voices. You don't hear of any of them because we don't live in a time when there wasn't as much competition with radio or television. Now the market is so saturated with streaming music you can't keep up with all artists. You're missing a lot of good ones, spread your horizons. Also... Sinatra called Tony Bennett the best singer.

    • @carrie20074
      @carrie20074 Год назад +4

      @@mr.balloffur It’s subjective, what you think is a good voice may not be everyone else’s cup of tea. Bing Crosby was a ballad singer, him or any of the singers you have mentioned do not have Sinatras vocal range. Sinatra was a one-off and was effortless.

    • @mr.balloffur
      @mr.balloffur Год назад

      @@carrie20074 Just because somebody has a large vocal range doesn't mean they have the best voice on earth and Sinatra sang just as many ballads 🤣

      @@mr.balloffur Your right Sinatra was a terrible singer. The only reason he succeeded was because of his mafia connections
