  • In anticipation of Frank Sinatra’s birthday on December 12th, Bulova celebrates one of the world’s most iconic vocalists with an exclusive video discussion with Frank’s daughter, Tina Sinatra.
Former singer, actress, film producer, memoirist and Frank Sinatra’s daughter, Tina Sinatra, says, “No one respected time more than my father, he never liked to keep an audience waiting. He often said, ‘If you’re not early, you’re late.’ Dad’s association with Bulova spans over six decades and we are proud to continue the relationship into the 21st Century."

No male singer comes close to the phrasing that Sinatra expressed. Talent was innate.
As Tina said, the lyrics of songs he chose were superb.
I miss his being here terribly.
When I hear his song on radio, I wait in parking lot til it ends.

In 1966 I was 10 years old and 45's were a quarter at Wallach's Music City. My friend Danny got "The Beat goes on" and I got "Thats Life" and thats where it all began. Many many albums (and many trips to Las Vegas to see him live) kind of gave me confidence. I worked at Gil Turner's liquor store and one day he pulled up, parked in the red (FAS) and bought a pack of Parliaments. WOW. I LOVE your Dad.

Frank's three children are noteworthy in how important diction and the use of language. Frank reportedly worked on breath control, annunciation, phrasing were important. His kids inherited these traits.

I grew up in an Italian family and remember your Father singing and my family so happy to hear him. It was like he was family and was at our home for Sunday Spaghetti dinner. I've always been a fan of your dad and not so much because of his ring-a-ding celebrity lifestyle, but because of his integrity never to compromise the dignity of his talent as a vocalist and a song stylist. I listen to his recordings and marvel at his technique, his phrasing and his musicality. And the way he expressed every song as if it was in the moment and being sung for the first time from the heart. No song ever sounded like a singer giving a performance, every cut sounded like a regular guy with a great natural voice breaking into song to express how he was feeling. I think that is why he appealed to the everyman, he made the song their fantasy of expression. I read the book, 'Sessions With Sinatra', which had nothing about his celebrity lifestyle, only about his artistry, technique and knowledge as a recording artist, and it became apparent that the reason all his cuts are so good and will forever be the gold standard of successful recording sessions, when all the pegs were in the right holes and it all happens in the moment and the grove cooks, is because he had such an acute ear for originality. Also, all his early years as a band singer, when he had to conform to orchestrations and at the same time make whatever stylized variations he could insert into his delivery of the song, gave him an opportunity to develop his musicianship, and it was a skill he brought into every recording session he ever did. His image as a devil-may-care celebrity masked the intensity of what a true artist he was.

My dad and his brothers adored Frank Sinatra. In the early 70’s most drove Caddie’s to his concerts and bought tickets in the very front row. My uncle, who was the brother of my dad was a musical agent knowing Frank Sinatra. It was quite a childhood growing up with Frank Sinatra music and he’s on SiriusXM the Sinatra channel channel 70. The love of Frank Sinatra has never left me, I have books, dvds, cd’s an autographed photo ( not to me sadly) and a SF Giants bobblehead, collector plates, and Sinatra decals on my car and all sorts of other treasures. There's a video of a CBS special from 1965 in the studio filming it being recorded. Frank said he heard it on the radio by the Kingston Trio, and decided he wanted to record it. Hard to believe it was 1st recorded as a folk song.

Dorothy Bunocelli, showgirl had a daughter with Frank Sinatra Sr. ..born 2/10/43 her name was Julie Ann Maria...name was legally changed to Sinatra in 2000...there was also a quiet cash settlement. What broke my heart was listening to Julie, all she wanted was a relationship with him. She came across very sincere and remained hopeful. She said that she had all his records. The settlement must have included a gag order. I, can’t locate the interview . I have been a child advocate all my life and this truth personally hurt. I was a big fan, saw him in person.
Also , an actress name Eva Bartok, claims that She had a daughter with Frank Sr. Let’s not forget Ronan Farrow, mother is Mia...he looks a lot like Frank Sr. Many people/ fans don’t care because they just love him and his music. That’s their privilege, but too many make him out to be a Saint, which he was Not! Have a Nice Day 🌈
