Sinatra’s best years, voice-wise were 1955 to 1970. He could still perform in the late 70’s up to 1985 and put on a decent show but his voice wasn’t the same. After 1988, forget it. I loved him very much but his voice was shot after 1988. People just went to his show just out of respect and love, but you couldn’t see the swagger and strut in his step and power of his voice like he had in 1962. Man, he could belt out a beautiful ballad of Three Coins in the Fountain or Moonlight in Vermont in those years. But, let’s face it, everyone gets old. I’m not the same guy as I was when I was 22 years old. Youth is wasted on the young! LoL😂

When artist get old such as Frank and Elvis, what is left is like Ancient Ruins but even ancients ruins are magnificent to look at.

I wasnt a huge fan of the Duets records, but it shows just what a fantastic song stylist Sinatra was. His voice was past its peak by a couple of decades, but he was still a master of phrasing - he was charisma personified...very cool guy.

The weirdest part of Duets that with the exception of Streisand, none of these artists got to sing with Sinatra. It was all studio magic. It was such a missed opportunity. All that being said, the clips on this special are great.
