- In this video, we'll be reviewing 2023's Shin Kamen Rider! Shin Kamen Rider is the fourth installment in the Shin Japan Heroes Universe and is a modernization and adaptation of the original Kamen Rider series from 1971. Following in the footsteps of Shin Ultraman, Shin Kamen Rider strictly sticks to the styles, principles, and ideologies of the original series. The clear love and dedication to the original series that flows through this film elevates it and brings back a sense of fun and love that films are severely lacking these days.

"I didn't think the anti-shocker organisation is really helpful"
Bruh they actually manage to kill scorpion augmented on their own, making them one of the most competent government agency that ever appear in kamen rider.
I haven’t seen any Kamen Rider nor Shin Kamen Rider, so this review actually taught me a lot.
Glad to hear it!
Have you seen shin ultraman yet?
@@porg832 yeah.
@@MaceDeMarco2010 ok.
I loved the movie. ❤ Kamen Rider BLACK will always be my favorite, though. Followed by Shin Kamen Rider. ❤
It was such a fun time!
@@DMan1954 Absolutely! I’ve watched it four times! Hahahahahahahahaha
Welcome to Kamen Rider, D Man! If you loved this movie, I'd recommend checking out Amazons and Black Sun next! They're fairly darker (especially Black Sun given its realistic political thriller direction), but like Shin, they reimagine two showa shows in a more modern and mature direction
1. All we need now is a Shin Gamera and a Shin Rayearth.
2. Ironmouse is a fan of the Kaman Rider franchise.
We also need Shin Gargantuas
What about Shin Goranger(Super Sentai)?
Next we need Shin Super Sentai, Gamera, Kikaider, Pokemon, and more Sequel.
I will say this, Welcome to the kamen rider series
Great movie review ! SKR is my favorite Shin film thus far !
Can’t wait!
It's a heater!
can you do a review to the new skull island animated series trailer
Learn from this Movie Hollywood.
Hollywood: LOL no this movie fast plot pacing, terrible camerawork/CGI.
Also Hollywood right now: Can't even write a decent fast paced story, the writer are even protest.......
Through Guardian of the Galaxy vol3, The Flash(through I didn't walk into because Erza, I don't want to support him.......) was finally good on plot, most adaption usually lose the spirits.......or got political correct
To me it's the best Kamen Rider movie I've ever seen (I've seen most of heisei movies, up to Fourze). Only that I wished the chase & fight sequence with Shocker Riders are a little brighter. I understand that they're on a dark tunnel, but I can't see a thing!
Hey Dman!, it’s been announced that Jason Lazarus, and Joseph Trapanese will be creating the soundtrack for the Netflix “Skull island” series and it’s confirmed to have 28 tracks
What do you think? Are you excited?
It definitely makes more sense on a rewatch
The movie wasn’t perfect but I loved it, it’s not for everybody but I still highly recommend it.
I dug the movie so much! I liked the special effects and how close to the original Hideki was. The only things I was bothered about was the slow bits and how the main character shook too much when he would speak.
主人公の震えは、優しすぎる主人公が力の魅力に迷いを見せてる表現だそうだよ
Probably because he's acting out a man still in shock at what happened to him, still not used to his cyborg body. Remember that this is an ordinary guy is just a few days fresh from getting operated on.
For those who have already watched. Will I like the movie if I only like the original 1972 manga?
Yes, because the film 95% element take from the Manga, with sound effect and amateur camerawork taken from 70s show
This > Power Rangers Once and Always
If one thing this movie did really well was that it stood faithful to the original show which I honestly adore, I love original toku heck it’s the reason why we have these modern films/shows if it weren’t for the original I honestly will have to say that the costumes and the cgi were really bad at times and like Dman said some of the actors looked like cosplayers, which leads me to the point of the movie looking like at some parts hat it was a fan film shot for comic con which doesn’t really bother me that much I can live with it just wish they could of done better, as for the 3 shin movies I will have to put this one at number #1 with ultraman coming a #2 and sadly Godzilla at #3 I just found shin Godzilla really boring.
So, you want actual metal suit for Suit actor to wear it?
Kamen Rider Faiz suit actor(in fact he portrayed 18 main Rider in Heisei) suffer a heatstroke from a plastic suit despite in winter
When portrayed Kiva, his right leg was bound with actual metal chains, which hurt him with great pain
Are you, hating suit actor that much?
Shin Ultraseven would be the obvious sequel to Shin Ultraman and a Shin Kamen Rider sequel would adapt Kamen Rider V3.
My notions on KR have to be based on the Sabian adaptation they tied into Power Rangers back in the day and just what I’ve gleaned from the internet since lol hope this makes it way onto a DVD/Bluray by the end of the year.
And I can’t wait for you to ever release that Toho-inspired film you made 😊
I’d be down for all of that! I loved both movies and would really like to see them continue. I want the sequels to these movies far more than I want a sequel to Shin Godzilla. Because, while Shin Godzilla, ends on an ambitious note, the film has a solid final conclusion and a full resolution. I personally feel that neither of the other two Shin films have as definitive of a conclusion. Kamen Rider felt more confident in its ending than Ultraman. But still.
Shin Kamen Rider sequel would be based on the second half of the original manga.
@@ChildishLandino makes more sense, I overlooked how much story there is to get out 😅
I would LOVE to see V3 in Shin aesthetics!
Totally don’t know anything at all about this. Is he a superhero? Is this Kaiju related? Thanks
Yes, he's kinda a superhero
Nop, but, he's a Kaijin
@@alejandrolizarraga3924 thank you!
kamen riders not a kaijin lol
@@toku-punk yeah, I had to ask because I didn’t know.
Cyborg Superhero.
The chameleon was kind of a joke character, he instantly got destroyed by ichimonji.
Where the hell do I watch it?!
Amazon Prime will premise it in 21st July
Spoiler thought
The fact the film later arc is a recreation on Ishinomori'sensei manga chapter 2(The fight with Shocker Rider(Phrase Batta Augs), Hongo dying and Ichimonji with now prana Hongo'conversion with scene taken from the said manga) brings a goofy smile in my face
Honestly a bit angry that people dislike Hongo actor because he doesn't look "manly" like OG Hongo, Hiroshi Fujioka, Sosuke Ikematsu honesty is a good actor who bring Hongo'fear of being a Kaijin well, as well the constant shaking which is a realistic reaction on social outcast when they face something unfamiliar
I loved Shin Godzilla, enjoyed Shin Ultraman, but Shin Kamen Rider is a tough watch. The Aug's are all laughably bad and the main character Hongo is a sad weepy boy. The CGI is what you would expect from PS3 cut scenes, at least in Shin Ultraman the CGI was stylized to portray monsters/humanoids in suits. I will probably never feel the need to watch Shin Kamen again.
To be fair, the villain get defeated too fast formula is something from Ishinomori Shotaro manga(in fact a lot of film elements are directly taken from the manga), so if you didn't read the manga/not a fan to it, you would dislike it
The last boss fight is disappointment.....
The wasps scene are better
