I'm putting together a spore-druid cosplay, and she's covered in lichen and moss and mushrooms and stuff, and this kinda "net" would work PERFECT for depicting Lichen on her cloak
Thanks for making this tutorial. It is so clear! I have seen written tutorials and even some other videos, and they didn't made me understand it enough to make something similar. Because they were giving instructions which included counting stitches. You explain what the idea is what we are to accomplish and what to do to get there. So with freehand and the basic principles you show it makes perfect sense. And it tickles my fantasy! Thank you so much!!
I just came across your channel a few days ago. I'm going back and watching all your videos. This one in particular sparked my interest. Can't wait to try it. Thank you for all your videos and patterns. My WIP is your preemie hat in basketweave. The pattern is very well written and easy to follow. I purchased several of your patterns on Etsy and can't wait to try them. I would love to make the skirt (I can't remember the name) using red cotton thread and tr crochet stitches but I'm not used to using thread so it would take me 2 years to make it. Probably not exaggerating very much. Thank you. Reply
I love your work that looks similar to Richelieu - Your doilys remind me of Reticella lace from the 1500's, yet they look so modern at the same time. I really love your work, you have beautiful patterns on your website - Thank You!!!
I just found this tutorial and I am in love with this freehand net material! I am excited to get started on my project. Thank you for this video! I love it!
Great video and so easy to follow. I want to learn to make aplique’s like Irish and connect them with mesh which is all chains I believe. The videos I have watched are difficult to follow so if you are able to do anything like that I would love to see it. You are so easy to follow and you explain perfectly thanks again your brilliant 😃 xx
Thank you Krissy! I always felt intimidated by big projects with Irish crochet, I would make roses and leaves now and then, but not anything grand. I know which mesh you are talking about. I would want to give it a try too, and maybe even make myself a dress one day. Thank you for commenting! :)
You give great explainations of how to create this. Do you have any videos showing how to use this or a similar technique when joining or filling in space between motifs?
i love love love this technique! i tried looking for a follow-up video that explains how to keep the motif flat and any other tips, but i didn't find it. was the video ever made? does anyone have any tips at all for crocheting this pretty pieces?
thank you for this tutorial! Love the pattern! I wanted to crochet a top with this pattern but couldn't get it into the shape. How do I find a direction? Or how to start a top?

You give great explainations of how to create this. Do you have any videos showing how to use this or a similar technique when joining or filling in space between motifs?
No, unfortunately I don't. I haven't made any crochet project connecting crochet pieces in such way.
That looks similar to a scarf I made!!
i love love love this technique! i tried looking for a follow-up video that explains how to keep the motif flat and any other tips, but i didn't find it. was the video ever made? does anyone have any tips at all for crocheting this pretty pieces?
Hi,
Beautiful work!!!!
Is there any video on how to do a blouse or scarf?
Could not find it sorry.
Unfortunately no, I never made it into a blouse or a scarf.
thank you for this tutorial! Love the pattern! I wanted to crochet a top with this pattern but couldn't get it into the shape. How do I find a direction? Or how to start a top?
This is so beautiful are there any written directions available for purchase from you?
Hi Andrea, no, I don't have written instructions for this one, as it's free hand, and the amount of stitches will be different each time.
Thank you, love your patterns

Hi! What do you mean inside those holes? I don't quite understand the question.
Has anyone tried this with yarn?
I' d like to know the technique of making a square pattern from the irregular one!) Many thanks! )...
