    You are a great teacher. Thank you. I recently learned about Freeform crochet and that’s how I found your channel. I really like this spiral pattern and I’m curious if you’ve ever done this pattern with three or more colors?

    Hello Patricia, thank you for posting this amazing breakdown! I was wondering if it's possible to double the width for each colour of the spiral to make a spiral sweater, but I'm not exactly certain if this is applicable. Would love to get some insight, cheers! :)

      @createandcrochetwithpatricia  3 года назад +1

      I'm not sure how you intend to use it. You can use a trc instead of a dc, but that would not give double the width. Of course, you can continue adding rounds to the spiral to make it as large as you like :)

      Not sure if you'll be able to see this but I would like to attempt to recreate this sweater :) www.lyst.com/en-ca/clothing/paloma-wool-twister-swirl-intarsia-knit-jumper/

      Ah...that is a knitted pattern and the spiral design would be worked into each row by changing the colors at a certain point. It is not created by going in rounds. The sleeves would be knitted separately as well, with a specific design to match the body of the sweater. I don't know how this could be achieved with crochet. Sorry! You could use freeform crochet to make 'scrumbles' and then join them together to create a pattern shape like I show in this tutorial. ruclips.net/video/NVAMaqLUPL0/видео.html

    Top loop, or front loop? I can’t tell which one

    • @createandcrochetwithpatricia
      @createandcrochetwithpatricia  10 месяцев назад +1

      See 4:55 in the video. It is the top loop, as I say, therefore leaving the front loop exposed to crochet into if desired to add more texture. You can also crochet into both loops if you don't plan to use the front loop or prefer a different look. Be playful!

    Sorry to bother you but when you say top loop do you mean front loop or the back loop? It was hard for me to tell. Beautiful work!

    • @createandcrochetwithpatricia
      @createandcrochetwithpatricia  2 года назад +1

      I'm so sorry, I do mean the back loop when I say top loop. I have some cognitive issues and that term had been so hard for me to remember.

      There can be a couple of issues...the first may be that the stitch count is not correct. If you are not increasing enough, that will make it curl. The other issue can be crochet tension. If your tension is too tight, that can also cause the work to curl. Try using a larger crochet hook and check out my tutorial on proper crochet tension: ruclips.net/video/PxAVTN_T3mk/видео.html
