It only gets better from here, you'll find that one song that hits you just right and after that....you'll be hooked for life
like undertow with sober in the 90s. 🤘
I totally agree, Tool journey you’ve started is truly life changing, have a good time:)
@@Dirtnap_McDinglestuffer yup. That's the song that did it for my teenage self. I actually didn't listen to them for nearly a decade, and then rediscovered them. It's been game over since then. APC, Puscifer... I don't care. Just give me more Maynard, his fantastic voice, and his lyrics.
Best band out currently, and have been the best band out there for 30+ years. The list goes on an on as far as good songs go. I personally would recommend “Aenima, 46 & 2, Eulogy, Right In Two, and Pneuma”. Can’t go wrong with any of them. Sit back, buckle up, and enjoy your TOOL journey. I am jealous that I can’t hear this stuff again for the first time.
Couldn't agree more, they've been fire for 30 plus years
I agree very much. That Aenima album is one of the most classic collections of sonic perfection. These guys know exactly what they are doing to such a high degree, its hard to describe.
46 is 2🤘
You nailed with that suggested play list, Maynard is one of the best ever, the lyrics, his voice, he’s an incredibly talented performer without question one of the greatest ever, I’ve never had so many songs just hit me the way his does!!!
Add Killing Joke who've been doing great for 40+ years. The two best drummers on the planet says it all - Danny Carey and Big Paul Ferguson.
Dude, your music world just opened a portal to another dimension finding Tool. Welcome! It’s gonna be a helluva ride
If you want a live performance, one of the best for TOOL is the drum cam. TOOL performed their song Pneuma with camera on drummer Danny Carey the whole song. it's shocking, the amount of talent this man has. Enjoy!
This has to be the natural progression for your next listen
I was thinking the same thing
Isn’t he like 60 in that video to?
@@MrCarnutbill67
Danny is a healthy big boy. Still killing in into his 60’s.
I have been there for your journey with Alice in Chains now I get to do the same thing with Tool. Lord have mercy I'm a happy girl these are two of my most loved groups. Tool is a progressive hard rock group, that has been around since 1990 and they still tour today. Their most recent album was released in 2019. They are all in their late 50's and still kickin ass. The lead singer is Maynard James Keenan who is also the lead singer of 2 other groups A Perfect Circle & Pusifer. The drummer is Danny Carey he is number 5 in the top 10 best Drummers in the world. They call him the octopus, because he plays the drums like he has 8 arms. Lead guitar is Adam Jones, Tool won a Grammy for their song 7empest off their new album all because of the guitar Riffs of the mighty Adam Jones. Bass guitar Justin Chancellor is from England. When he heard Tool was looking for a new bass player he came to the states, and auditioned for Tool and he won them over with that nasty bass line that is unmistakable in Tools music. There you have it!!!! Please react to (46 & 2) or (The Grudge) which has a 24 second scream that is amazing. It is hard to find any good quality live Tool since the band does not allow any filming during their concerts. ENJOY
Love Tool. Maynard's vocals fit perfectly into every step of the music. Listening to their music is an experience. Welcome to one of the best rabbit holes in reacting.
Maynard probably has one of the best voices in rock music.
@@tapsX3 absolutely agreed. His control is unreal. He's got a helluva range, too, only topped by Mike Patton in that regard.
You're not kidding about a reaction rabbit hole.
love seeing people discover TOOL for the first time!
Like that one dude said "everyone is a Tool fan they just don't know it",🤷
Tool is one of the best musical rabbit holes you can fall into.
10,000 day is a reference to how long the singer's mother suffered from an illness until she died. She was extremely devout and refused medical care from what I understand. She suffered with strength and grace until the end. Her faith never waivered. It made a huge impact on the singer. You can almost follow his grief progression through Tool and A Perfect Circle songs.
Welcome to your new Religion lol! TOOL IS LIFE! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It's always wild watching a new Tool fan being born. Also, one of , if not the best live shows I've ever seen.
40 plus year rock drummer here and i have to say i just love Tool, such a unique style and sound and these guys take it to a A Whole Nother Level ! Welcome to the world of Tool , Great reaction and best of luck man .
Danny Carey is the drummer. He's just turned 61 and has a deal with Nike so that he has an NBA jersey and shorts for every venue, of the local team, but with his surname on it. He wore Larry Bird's #33 jersey when he played Pneuma in Boston etc. But his favourite is his #24 Bryant one. He also drive a Lamborghini Murcielago.
Welcome to the Tool fan club. Next on your list should absolutely be their live drum cam video of the song "Pneuma". Danny Carey is one of the best out there, and watching that man play is a show in itself.
Definitely gonna want to check out pneuma.
@@Jay.Z came here to say exactly this.
Yes as Ryan says this drum cam “Pneuma” is a must watch video for Tool, you will be hooked on Tool music for sure no doubt!! They are one of my top favorite bands of all time🤙🏻
I live for Tool reactions, I live "vicarous"ly through them lol. When I saw you make the "stank" face I knew you were hooked lol. Justin Chancellor's bass lines are sick. "liar, lawyer, mirror show me what's the difference" says every man whose ever been to family court lol.
And welcome to Tool. The Pot is a jam.. it's funky, energetic.. just Rocks 🤘 their music is complex and deep. One of my top 5 favorite bands ever.
Tool are legendary. Their songs are experiences. Check out Forty Six & Two.
Listen to the song Sober, find the video of them live where Maynard is wearing a pink onesie, from the early 90’s, absolutely soul touching, if you know anyone who has battled addiction you can instantly relate to it, professional voice coaches have been blown away by him and his voice, seriously worth it!!!
Welcome to Tool. There is nothing like it
I warn you now, once you go down this rabbit hole... Is no turning back... This music will keep you heading down that hole until you see the spiral.
Yes 10,000 Days is the album. Def check out The Grudge, 46 & 2, or Lateralus. It only gets better, also recommend reading along with their lyrics to start out!
Yes these are world Musicians, I mean world class. Im glad u vibed
yes! one of my faves by them! thank you! try out A Perfect Circle too!!
One of the best bands around. Amazingly, Maynard (lead singer) has two (!) other bands that are also excellent. The man is a prolific beast. I love the song "Vicarious" from this same album.
30 years later and STILL no band has ever captured Tool's sound. Many have failed miserably, but you just can't touch Tool. Danny Carey is arguably the baddest drummer alive. Maynard's vocal is uncomparable. Great track but gotta hit the Undertow album too
These guys are in a league of their own 💯🔥🤘
Oh shaman... I forgot about Undertow. How... How could i ever forget about the cries of the carrots?
Of all tool songs.. the pot is definitely my favorite as it comes to the bass! Justin kills it!!
In general you will be rewarded for sincere reactions to Tool music by us, the Tool Army. The first recommendation I would make to you is something you already did. Don't play/react to the videos. While they are great, Tool is a music experience and so don't let the videos distract you. Playing the music with lyrics up can be good but the visuals of a Tool video overwhelms the brain and you end up reacting to what you saw rather than what you heard.
The second thing is that the lyrics are deep/thought provoking. Doing a little bit of research on the lyrical content will help you digest the music and the experience.
The final tip I will offer is that The Pot is maybe in the top 20 of Tool songs. But listen to it several more times and try to focus on each instrument and the lyrics. Most Tool songs are hard to fully comprehend on the first, tenth or twenty-first listen. There is a lot there. Listen to it in stereo-phonic headphones and, I think you will honestly grow as a human. Be well. Welcome to the Tool experience.
TOOL ARMY... ITS TIME TO SHOW HIM THE LIGHT! 🤘
There is no such thing as this is my favorite Tool song(because every song you listen to is great/or Album
Dirty, Dirty, Funk Grooves…💥
Man I wish I could hear TOOL for the first time again, but watching your reaction was pretty awesome. They are the most complex, emotional, dynamic band ever. Masterpiece after masterpiece.
Tip of the ice burg?! Good as The Pot is, and that's damn good.
Slow that roll.
There is a deeper end of the pool when it comes to TOOL.
One word. PolyRhythms
And hands down. One of the best live concert experiences ever.
my son was a big fan of Tool. anytime I hear them I think of him, he passed away in 2014 at the age of 25 from a car accident
My condolences, I lost my son in 2015 when he was 31. He liked Tool but my youngest daughter loves Tool like I do and we used to rock out to them on car trips, ha. She is 33 now and lives too far away to see her very often, but she keeps Tool, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and System of a Down on her car playlist!
Tool's song Sober (live) is amazing.
Sober is something you really wanna hear studio first, in my opinion, so you really hear it. After that, go straight to seeing them do it live for sure.
“Right in Two”, next…….You won’t be disappointed.
I'm Tool OLD school..& I absolutely find great joy watching other newcomers falling in love. Enjoy!!
Love watching someone entering the rabbit hole of Tool. Enjoy
Many, many more great songs from Tool left for you to discover and enjoy
Nice man, Tool is another deminsion in music. Really amazing artist!
Brother look at the live video from Danny Carrey Tool-Pneuma Drum cam. It's insane what that man can do, some people call him the "Octopus" lol 🤘❤🤘
Welcome to the rabbit hole! This band is seriously untouchable
Oh my brother, I had a little freakout when I saw the title of this video! This is my faaaaavorite Tool song, and this journey is an incredible one!
Much love and respect for the help you've been giving Jamel_AKA_Jamal, it was cool to see you pop up in the live chat. His was the first reaction channel I ever watched, and that has been another incredible journey that has brought me here as well! You are 100% a good human, man.❤✌
I love watching people reacting to Tool for the first time. This is and has been one of the best metal bands for more than 30 years now. Maynard James Keenan is the lead singer. He is in a league all of his own. Danny Carey is the drummer and he is one of the best in the world. This band never disappoints...
Someone once said "Everyone is a Tool fan, some just don't know it yet."
Seen them live 2 times, 2006 and 2022. By far the best concerts i have ever been to! 🤘🙏
TOOL brought me to your channel. Great band. Peace
Ten thousand days is referring to his Mother who suffered a stroke. Wanna know more about Maynards Mother listed to Wings for Marie part one and two;
Also in regards to Maynards mom is Judith by A perfect Circle.
Great band and song , love drummers that strike hard and Danny definitely does, thanks again!
Here comes the, TOOL Army! 🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽
That perma-smile throughout was awesome to see!
Tool is an unusual and talented band... formed in 1991 in California as a 'joke band' by guitarist Adam Jones, a special effects wizard, who named the band after his backyard tool shed 😂 Tool was rounded by vocalist Maynard James Keenan, drummer Danny Carey and bassist Paul D'Amour... they released an EP 'Opiate' in 1992 before releasing a full debut album 'Undertow' in 1993... MTV aired the animated videos for 'Sober' and 'Prison sex'... and the album went platinum (1 million copies sold) in the US. Tool's early sound was a dark mix of early Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd's eerie imagery.
Around 1995, bassist Justin Chancellor joined Tool, replacing Paul D'Amour... the band released the album 'Aenima' in 1996, which went to the top 5 charts and won a Grammy award... Tool's sound had also evolved into more complex and progressive arrangements. Legal troubles w/ their label delayed the next Tool album... so singer Maynard James Keenan formed a new band in his downtime - A Perfect Circle. Keenan's APC w/ guitarist Billy Howerdel released the album 'Mer de noms' (Sea of names) in 2000 and that record went platinum as well.
Tool's next album 'Lateralus' was finally released in 2001 after a 5 year gap... it hit #1 on the charts... Tool was a very unusual band live, using special effects in their concerts, while singer Maynard James Keenan performed vocals from the back of the stage, rather than be up front.
This next album '10,000 days' was another #1 charting success in 2006... Tool kept busy touring the world to their massive loyal fanbase, but it would be 13 years before a new Tool album would emerge... In the meantime, Maynard James Keenan released records from his pop music project Puscifer... and released more new music from A Perfect Circle...
Tool would finally release the album 'Fear inoculum' in 2019... it hit #1 on the charts once again.
More Tool songs to check out - 'Stinkfist' ... 'Parabola' ... 'Forty six & two' ... 'Aenima' ... 'Vicarious' ... 'Hooker with a p...s' ... 'Jambi'
If u wanna check out A Perfect Circle, I suggest the songs - 'Judith' ... 'Weak & powerless' ... '3 Libras' ... 'The doomed'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
right in two by tool is very good.
They will draw you in. And it never ends! Hell yea.
TOOL army represent! Welcome to the spiral. Very tip of the iceberg my friend.
If you continue to explore Tool, you will be hooked. One of the best out there, emotional and raw at times!
Heck yeah! Welcome to Tool man! Enjoy yourself and spiral out!
Also 10,000 days is an ode to his mother Judith Marie who suffered an illness for 27 years (10,000 days) until she ultimately passed.
Fantastic reaction!! You need to listen to Lateralus next. It will blow your mind! Welcome to the wonderful, unparalleled world of Tool!! Can't wait for your next reaction to them.
Our band opened for Tool at a little club back in the day..! Super cool guys and loved our music. They stuck it out and killed it. Hard thing to do when rock was on the down turn.
Adogg, it’s great to see others getting into Tool. As someone who loves all music genres and discovered Tool late in life, you’re in for a helluva ride with these guys. Check out their Fear Inoculum album. It’s a masterpiece. Keep up the great videos. Peace.
And another soldier joins the TooL Army!!
Reacting to Tool for the first time? = Always an instant like/sub for me. Been listening to them since they started in the 90s. Love seeing people discover them this many years later. “Spiral out, keep going!”
Welcome to experiencing the greatest band of all time. Spiral out young man. 🌀👆🇺🇲🤘
❤ what up man.....I just discovered TooL a few weeks ago. And all these reaction videos are coming up. And I found yours. And I just wanted to say how awsome. It's been watching black dudes become fans of TooL in real Time. Especially since I just discovered them just now as well. It's just super cool to watch black dudes cross over into super white culture. It's easy for us white folks to love black culture. But to be able to cross the gap with music and to see black folks embrace white culture just like alot of white people do has really brought tears to my eyes. I'm from Buffalo where we just had that horrible mass shooting. I'm 15 min away from where it happened and to see this just hit me. And finding this a few days ago really touched my soul. This was a cool video man. It's beautiful to see this. Much love.
That freaking bass is so awesome!! Love that funky little beat!!
You’re forever changed now. Once you hear them it’s on.
Arguably one of the best (in my opinion THE best) bands of the last 30 years.
Yes!!! The smile on your face at the end says it all. Keep going mate.
Hey man...I live in Michigan...glad Stafford got u a Superbowl my boy deserved it...but GOOOOOO LIONS💯💯💯
~* Loveeee your reactions and how open you are to all music... I loveee Tool!! Keep being you!*~
One thing i have in common with my daughter and it this band TOOL 💪🏻💥🙌 im 55 shes 35 she was SHOCKED when i came out of the closet as a quiet headbanger 🤣… I AM THE MOTHER THAT TOOK AWAY IN HORROR HER MARILYNMANSON CD IN 1998…. we STILL laugh at that🤣
Welcome down the Tool journey! Next usually people do Sober, 46&2, and Schism next to really get you going. Then you can dive IN 😄🤟
Great Band! This is going to be a nice long ride jamming to these guys! You are going to love it! Love the channel 😁
Subbed. I'm eagerly looking forward to watching your journey through Tool's discography. They're just so damn good!
You've done it now! Tool are amazing, and you've gotta DIVE down this rabbit hole! You won't regret it :-)
You need to see the Vic Firth promo video of Tool's drummer, Danny Carey, playing "Pneuma" live. Absolute savage genius.
a superb catalogue of music to delve into!!!!! nice one man!
my favorite band and i play guitar they are awesome
I second the recommendation of a previous comment for the Pneuma drum cam video.
But the stage lights are such an integrated part of the live show that I recommend watching some of the audience recorded videos. I'm on my phone so I can't give you a link. But do a YT search for live tool 2021 or 2022. Then pick any thumbnail with pretty lights ;)
Maynard doesn't go for the high notes or the long yells anymore. He just turned 58. But he's no less a performer for it. You probably won't see him anyway.
I love Tool, Maynard James Keenan has a very hypnotic voice.
Drums were off the chart. solid performance by all i love the pot so much!
Strap in.It's an E ticket ride. You are going to have so much fun...It will take you places good, bad and ugly.Deep.
First saw them live in '93.Six more times since then. The live show is almost beyond description. Bucket list it.
🔧 🔨 🤘🤘🤘
Welcome to the TOOL army, brother!
Welcome, welcome, welcome! You finally get to discover TOOL! This rabbit hole will be well worth it, I promise! Listening to TOOL is not just hearing a song, it’s an experience! Enjoy!! 🤘🏼
Danny Carey is the drummer and one of the best in HiSTORY. Check out “Danny Carey Pneuma”…you won’t be disappointed.
he is a great singer and does so many other things in the world of music.💚
What's up my dude.. the lead singer is named maynerd James Keenan. You really really need to check out his other band called A Perfect Circle. Many great songs to listen to. I've been a tool fan all my life and A Perfect Circle is crazy good. Try the song Judith and the pet. You will love it. More respect to maynerd
Stay with studio tracks and lyrics pulled up on phone. Thats the best experience for everyone. Also the videos do not show instruments and will distract you from the music. Danny Carey Drum Cam is SICK I suggest next if you want a video. Also The Sober live 93 are the only two I'd recommend and that should be enough. Welcome to the best band on the planet.
My dude! I suggested this a week ago and im SO glad to see it on here. Tell ya what though, that stank face tells me that Tools gotcha now. Vicarious, aenema, stinkfist, rosetta stoned, right in two, all of these are a simple pleasure in spiraling out. Im so glad i got to watch this. Thanks.
You done F'd up! Enjoy the Tool journey muh friend. Simply brilliant music..
Awesome to see how amped you were from this man. Jump in to Tool, it's nearly all I listen to. Great reaction.
Saw them live back in February and I swear it was practically a religious experience. Most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life, and I go to a lot of shows
Welcome to the tool army! Enjoy the journey.
For most songs...lyrics are a must, you can pull them up in the side. Stay away from official videos, they are like little horror movies and distracting. Lol
Tool Army checking in! You have only just begun your Tool journey! Sit down, if you can, buckle up and get ready for a journey of epic proportions!
tool is insane and watch A perfect Circle too, Judith. It's Maynard on the vocals again
I'm here for all the tool reactions
Maynard James Keenan, yeah he’s special. I ❤️ that you genuinely seem to like Tool. They, of course, are amazing, but they can also be an acquired taste. Unlike classic rock, and even the heroin fueled bands of the 90’s, they’re pretty heavy. So cheer’s to you for getting it. Most people don’t.
Lead singer Maynard Keenard tackled some guy that managed to get on stage at one of his shows. Crazy footage, he kept singing the whole time.
Tool is a freaky journey. Sometimes too „deep“ for me but I appreciate them and their stunning level in sounds arrangements and lyrics and and and 🤘
There is tons of concert videos of this current tour on the tube. I would recommend finding a good version of the song Invincible. Great guitar song and Justin really gets into it. Also they only officially allow people to record during the last song. Great first reaction and welcome to the Army and enjoy your trip down the Rabbit hole.
