I think your sister's heart just got stolen by Bobby 55 years after this performance. ❤️😂😘🥰 Just enjoy it. She's not the first one he's had this effect on ❤️
I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. He was so awesome and handsome! I am 73 yrs and never get tired listening to him sing this song. Brings so many memories of 1st husband who passed away in 2007. RIP Bobby! We miss and love you! ❤❤❤
This was live on the Andy Williams show There are two Righteous Bros but at times they did solos also in their careers. The other brother Bill Melody was there just not singing this. Bobby's performance was effortless, smooth and sheer perfection. HE OWNS THIS SONG. Many artists before and after him have done this song but no one will ever compare to his performance sheer magic.I was young when he did this but I still get goosebumps when I hear him sing it today. HE had it all pure talent, looks he was the whole package.
I always love to see people smile when a song touches their heart. Thank you for sharing this reaction. Music truly is the universal language for all people over the world.
I'm still amazed that the world has never heard all these songs. Then again.. I'm hearing amazing music from across the world That I'm sure they didn't know people haven't heard. I love this unity of the world through music!!! We have the same spirits.. we are one
What a pleasure it is for this old guy ( who bought this record in 1965) to see two young ladies react to a ROMANTIC song impeccably performed. It was the first record I ever bought, sometime after I'd started working in my first job. Dancing with a pretty girl to it was a joy, so much better than the foul-mouthed filth that is unfortunately all too common now. Thank you both very much, best wishes from Scotland.
Congratulations, momma!! You captured one! lol Just imagine how much more enjoyable this song will be for your daughter when she hears it through both earbuds!
A TIMELESS CLASSIC... Heared it a lot in the house when I was a kid, and I used to sing along. Still sounds Amazing to this day. A clear testament that GOOD MUSIC is TIMELESS !!
What you heard as a kid was the studio version for the record. It was very good. This live tv gem had basically been lost for years until it was brought back via RUclips. It's the gold standard version. Thanks, RUclips!
This is the most authentic reaction video for my and my love's song I've seen. I can't listen to this song without crying my heart out and singing out to Heaven where my true love is still mine.
I bet Bobby's singing coach said to him (when he did a final version of the song) 'If you sing like this, in front of an audience - I guarantee you, they will be raving about it for years', and he was right. Here we are, 57 years later (2022) , and it is still, by far, the best version, ever sung. A lot of the reactions we've seen (on youtube), of people watching it for the first time, have been from people, simply giving their opinions about it - but if you want a real professional, giving his take on it, then go to ruclips.net/video/boXkA9G5PL4/видео.html called 'British guitarist analyses the Righteous Brothers live in 1965'. He will even give you the musical notes Bobby sang (20 of them), when he performed his stunning rendition of it - no auto-tune required!
Hello Miras. The original song is about a man getting out of prison, this is why he sings about "time Can do so much" meaning that he has been locked away for a long time and much can happen over time. Then he sings " Are you still mine? " He is wondering if his love is still waiting for him or not. he sings that he is coming home like a River to the sea To the open arms of the sea...Hope this is helpful....
Two of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen. No matter what you do, I hope the both of you keep smiling! Thanks so much for sharing this reaction with us.
"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin” was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century. "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" is brilliant. He is the master of the technique and started the trend. 7 notes just to say the word "I".... Their name came when they did a show in a smaller venue and a black man told them…. You two Brothers are Righteous. They created the sound and set the table that all Soul Music fed from for decades to come. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
I love that you still appreciate this beautiful music which is some of the first I heard in my life. My mother actually sang this song to us when we were children in the early 1960s.
This song sung by Bobby Hatfield isc right up there with the best soul songs ever written n sang!! Ben E Kings Stand By Me Bill Withers Lean On Me OerctvSkedge When A Man Loves A Woman Marvin Gaye It Takes Two n Dobie Gray Lovin Arms Otis Redding Dock Of The Bay The Platters The Great Pretender! Unchained Melody sang by Bobby Hatfield is right in there as one of the greatest soul songs ever written and sang!! Melb Australia
Bobby Hatfield is one of the greatest singers ever and this song is one of the most beautiful in music history. Glad u both enjoyed it so much. When Bobby sings with Bill Medley its terrific also. Check out You lost that Loving Feeling, Soul and Inspiration and For once in my Life, plus more. Best success on yr channel.
The song was originally intended for the 1955 film titled "Unchained" which is about prison life. That's how the song got it's title...UNCHAINED MELODY. Music composed by Alex North; lyrics from Hy Zaret and; recorded by Todd Duncan for the said film. Most notable version was from the Righteous Brothers particularly Bob Hatfield which was released in 1965. Since then...it became the standard version for this song. Nice reactions...keep it up!
No one has sung this song better than the late great "Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers." Song composed by Alex North with Lyrics by Hy Zaret for the 1955 prison movie "Unchained," This performance was done back in 1965 'Live' on the 'Andy Williams Show.' Fifty-six years have gone by, and this version of 'Unchained Melody' is the best of them all. Bobby Hatfield and the Andy Williams orchestra together created the best live performance in television history. Love your reactions to one of the greatest live performances ever! Done way before auto-tune...
Mira, it was a pleasure to watch you and your sister react to this timeless classic by the late great Bobby Hatfield, RIP! Invite your sister back to enjoy her choice of "Love of my Life" by Queen, live at Wembley 1986, "You've Made Me So Very Happy" by Blood Sweat and Tears, "That's Not The Way I Always Heard It Should Be" by Carly Simon from 1971, "Vincent" by Don McLean from 1972, "One Less Bell To Answer" by The Fifth Dimension, "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young from 1971, "Try" by Blue Rodeo, "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart and "Everyday People" by Sly and The Family Stone! Best wishes to both of you,
To be loved AND needed AND told so, touches everyone's heart. You may be interested to know it was written by a writer assuming the feelings of a man in prison. The fictional prisoner has written a letter to someone he lives..."I'll be coming home soon,, wait for me."
I sang this to my wife at our wedding in 1983. She, however she said I murdered it. I'm guessing it's not a song for a baritone, she told me I was of better sticking to my drumming. I thought it was an appropriate song as I was in the Royal Marine Commandos, I had returned from the war for the Falkland Islands when I proposed, and now was shipping out to Sierra Leone two days later, so much for my attempt at being romantic. On the upside she liked me in my Dress Uniform, and having my comrades forming the sword tunnel helped. I must have done something write because we're still together. With 4 children and 7 grandchildren, we got busy on baby's when I was home. I served my Queen and Country for 38 years as a Royal Marine Commandos and Specialist Forces, and the last 2 years in hospital, and she stuck by me even though I'm wheelchair bound now. We do actually have a song by Queen called "Your Me Best Friend", a very apt song as she has been my best friend since we were both 15.
I think you'd both like listening to "YEBBA" .. the song is "My Mind".. it's very emotional.. I think it's about 5 years ago.. not sure, but she's got others too. Her voice is perfections.. LIke this song she can do Runs.. and makes you "feel" her emotions.
If you liked Bobby's, you will like Angelina Jordan's recent rendition from her Nobel Peace Prize that she went to honor the recipient. Angelina was 17 when she sang it. Please check it out, you will enjoy. Nice reaction!!
Be one of the first on the net to react to New Age music by Yanni. It’s all good but I strongly recommend “love is all” sung by Vann Johnson. Watch the version recorded at the Taj Mahaul. Be patient with the slow comforting nature of the prelude with the 2500 year old duduk on of my favorite instruments and I guarantee you will be blown away by Vann Johnson’s vocals…she’s unbelievable …may she Rest In Peace
This song was written for a little-known movie titled "Unchained". I must, however, recommend that you get full headphones for both of you, even if they have to be wireless. Often, the music production will use effects that are different to the left and right ear, and each of you only having a single ear-bud is robbing you of the full effects of the music.
giggles...I always much love watching someone get turned on to these older American music compositions, especially das Love Songs. I've played Violin since age 8 und Cello at age 10 so Classical music ist my first passion, but I first heard this song when I was young. Mum was always dancing about her kitchen listening to Rock music und it has always been my second music passion. There ist much older, extremely worthy music still deserving an audience. I liked your reactions much. Have a fun day. Auf Wiedersehen aus Wiesbaden :-)
The White radio stations wouldn't play them at first because the said they sounded Black. ,... It was Black Radio Air play who started playing them and made them Famous... The got their name because they were playing black clubsand one brother hollered out " YOU GUYS SOUND RIGHTEOUS!!!! "and that's how they got the name....
Loved the reaction ladies. Try the song When A Man Loves A Woman by the group Homefree next. You will love it. By the way, they are a acapella group meaning no instrments... they make the backup sounds and beats themselves. Enjoy.

I was so fortunate to watch him live shortly after the movie “Ghost” and he was AMAZING!!! It was like listening to the record!!
I was 8 years old watching this. This song just feels like part of my life.
I was 16 and watched the Andy Williams show and watched him sand this song . The best solo in the history of music.
