    I'm not a CyberTruck fan, but I think the results come down to tires and weight. The CyberTruck has plenty of power, but that doesn't mean much if there's no traction. So while I'm happy to see the Ram win, it ultimately doesn't mean as much as people probably want to think.
    Also have to say, everyone has such a bias against the CT that I actually find myself rooting for it in a way. The people vocally hating it do so for dumb reasons. I don't think anyone is buying a CT to tow cross-country (and if they do, they're stupid). But having a vehicle with a bed for weekend HomeDepot runs or towing a boat to a nearby lake once in a while is a perfectly legitimate task for a vehicle, and it does that just fine. It's probably better thought of as a modern El Camino.. no one ragged on that for having a low payload/towing capacity, yet the CT will also have the benefit of being better in snow, very quick, and more efficient from an energy-per-mile perspective. Sounds like a worthy vehicle to me..
    Also, you gotta give credit to Tesla for actually making something so bold and controversial. Every other truck looks pretty much the same, which is fine, but it's nice to see something break the mold and take a chance once in a while.
    Done with rant, really enjoyed the video 👍🏼

      I agree, I think the problem is the way they pushed EV's on people. Politicians talking about making laws that by 2035 all new cars will need to be EV. If they promoted EV as an alternative for people interested and stopped with the false claims about it being environmentally friendly I think less people would have such a bad attitude about them. Simple truth is EV's simply don't work for a lot of people while they do work for some others. Let the individual decide what is right for them and keep the government out of it.

      @@awdeveau I agree with you. The only advantage to having governments set a deadline is that it gives a push to manufacturers, scientists and inventors to develop battery and charging technology that would be a real viable alternative to our current combustion engines and hopefully, even surpass them in range and performance. Thus far, the technology doesn't look as if it is going to materialise before that deadline. In the meantime, I'm sticking to my 3 litre diesel. Whilst I don't think that current battery technology is as green as they are touting, I do advocate that vehicles in cities with heavy traffic congestion be mostly EVs as that would really help to keep the air quality in cities and large towns cleaner and healthier. In that respect, EVs have an important role to play.

      If you grow your own corn and turn it in to ethanol and fuel your car with it you still owe the government motor fuel tax for every gallon you use.
      Same if you run a diesel on waste oil.
      EVs get to use the roads yet pay nothing towards their upkeep.
      When and if EVs were ready for prime time people would switch on their own.
      They wouldn't have to be bribed with taxpayer money or forced into it because everything else is banned.
      The government didn't have to pay people to switch from horses to Model Ts.
      Imagine that when Henry Ford built his quadracycle (the car he made before the Model T) the government said "Wow that is great! Let's start killing horses and demand people drive Quadracycles."
      That would have been a disaster.
      I think the whole "phasing out all ICE by 2030" will be a disaster.

      Hating something for no or some made up arbitrary reasons is so incredibly stupid, and shouting at someone for driving an electric vehicle is just as incredibly stupid.
      Electric engines and vehicles are just a power source and a system of propulsion. Diesel, gasoline, propane (often used rock crawlers), and electric, it’s all the same. It’s just an engine and a fuel/power source. It’s all just technology and science in action.
      I’m a firm believer in live and let live. Don’t involve me, leave me be and I’ll leave you be. But if I become involved because some idiot pulled me into the situation, such as insulting me as one of these idiots did who shouted at me for simply driving and plugging in the company eclectic vehicle. Then until I get bored of it I’m going to be actively involved and saying how incredibly stupid people like them are. It’s a little personal now, which means I’m going to call out their ignorance when it come to electric vehicles.
      But, what more can you do when you’re in a red state surrounded by a bunch of idiot hypocrites who don’t see their own hypocrisy, wearing shirts with freedom on it, while telling people who disagree with them that they don’t belong there. But hey, they are free to be an idiot.

    • @SeohnAranys
      @SeohnAranys 3 дня назад +6

      @@Dawsonbenjifilm Correct, but when they wear shirts with freedom on and say things like that guy did, all it does is make them look like ignorant hypocrites.
      And the moment you say something in response to what they said they get mad and expect you to shut up and take it.
      I know this for a fact because I live in one of these red states. And literally had a guy shout and insult me while plugging in my companies electric vehicle, which has the company logo on it. And all I said was I think electric vehicles are awesome, this apparently triggered him further and he started cussing at me.

    • @Dawsonbenjifilm
      @Dawsonbenjifilm 3 дня назад +3

      @SeohnAranys I get what you are saying here, but I feel like it's a little closed-minded to believe something like that only happens in red states, as if it's a one-sided problem. I feel that extremists on both sides are bad; they claim to be inclusive but exclude people or say freedom for all and get mad when something you can do freely happens.Yes, no one should get that heated over you charging a company work vehicle, but in the case of truck pulls, I can see where they might not like it, especially considering you could count it as almost a sport or hobby. It's like someone coming to a soccer game in spikes instead of cleats; both of them help you grip the ground better, but one of them makes it a whole lot less fun for everyone else involved.I myself don't care that much about tractor and truck pulls, but I feel like if someone changed the rules of something I liked, I might have an issue with it, even if I was wearing a shirt that says otherwise. I like to look at both sides of things. I personally don't have a problem with an electric truck doing a pull, but I like to think from other people's perspectives too.

    • @SeohnAranys
      @SeohnAranys 3 дня назад +1

      @@Dawsonbenjifilm No one should ever yell out an insult to someone they don't know as they pass all because they don't like a vehicle Its literally stupid and they have no self control or manner. No it is not like a soccer game to yell at random uninvolved with the soccer game. Its one thing to say the team sucks while at the game. Its another entirely to come up to someone and insult them randomly.
      I always try to view things from others perspectives. And their perspective for shouting insults at someone while they are at work just plugging in the company car with logos on it is that of a complete idiot. Its one thing to say you don't like something. Its entirely another to insult a random person who has no control over what the company gets.
      Perhaps instead of being an idiot, they should've seen it from my perspective. Goes both ways and while I believe in "treating others the way you would want to be treated". After a certain point you have to stop placating to poorly mannered idiots.
