Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on RUclips!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

Your views on “talent” are well known and respected. However; all the practice in the world cannot give someone the groove and the soul that you have when you play songs like this. The Impressions would be so proud to hear this version. This has Philly R&B all over it. Great job as always. I’ll be watching this over and over.
You might be underestimating that waking up at 4 am and practicing 4 hours a day for many years can make someone as good as they want to be. In Joe’s case it seems he never settles with what he’s already accomplished, so he is constantly improving. I’d say even a year ago he wasn’t as good as he is now and back then he was already ridiculously comfortable with the guitar.
@@lucasetienne6573 If you don't have the hand/eye co-ordination it doesn't matter how much you practice. I could practice as much as Joe did and still be rubbish.

This is the most beautiful rendition of this tune I’ve ever heard. I thought nothing could beat Jeff Beck’s version but you have surpassed them all congrats on that.
Nice yes, but no not "Beck/Stewart transcendent". Joe is fantastically talented and accomplished but simple age and experience yields magic by no other short cuts or means....

What makes a number 1 hit song that you might cover like Sultans , which gets the clicks. I mean, you can play like the best of em, but that's not what gets those huge numbers because most people don't even try to play let alone play and since I started learning to play is when I realised what you're doing but that is about technique, ability etc. Gloria was a huge hit, and any mug can learn to play it. Why, I ask? What is that moment, that essence that sparks the fire.? Whatever it is it's mighty sweet and makes for the ultimate irresistible earworm.

There's a skill level needed with singing and guitar that you have - but also the sound quality of the performance is right up there at 10/10. No part was lacking finesse
