Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want, I believe music is a timeless language and the power of melody, harmony & rhythm can heal us all!
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on RUclips!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

I don’t know about “another level” thing cuz he did it very simillar to the original (as you should concidering it isn’t far from perfection) with some of his own licks in it but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s done very good indeed.

@@Joe_Robinson I’m trying a new way to "listen" to your videos. Instead of watching you play, I turn off the screen and I’m listening to the music on my sound system. It’s a really different feeling ; instead of looking at the licks and all the technique, I’m really enjoying the melodies, the sensibility..., and that’s what music it's all about.

I love it when someone covers a song and actually gets the style of the original artist right. Those were some very "Claptonesque" moves, Sir, but also very, very tight. Even Eric himself would have to tip his hat.
As a guitar hack since 1979, I realize the hours and hours that it takes to get to this level. I'm am in awe.
Jesus christ on a stick man! I've been playing this song at gigs for literally 10 years and have been pretty content with my interpretation but this video showed me how incredibly much more I could be doing with it and it really brought back a burning passion to learn something new again for the first time in a loong long time! You obviously hear that you are sensational all the time but please, take it from someone who's been doing this for a while; you're one of the best I've ever seen.
