Hello, I’m Joe - I’m a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel you’ll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesn’t fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on RUclips!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!

Honestly. I’m 60 years old. This is one of my favorite songs. I’ve have Never heard anyone do a better version and this includes dozens of really famous guitarists. Thank you so very much for the smile you just created on my face! Wow!

A very interesting version of the forgotten All Along The Watchtower. Interesting chords, use of wah-wah. How did you stretch your fingers to catch those chords?
A great rendition and great voice but, the guitar sounded a bit harsh..perhaps if you had engaged the rhythm pickups .. awesome tho 😀

I am 70 yrs old I've seen him live years ago he was just a kid and have seen him live recently at City Winery Nashville I believe he is one of the best guitar players around!

Probably the best Guitar player I have ever heard and I have seen Clapton, BBKing, SRV, Mayer in concert. IMO Joe is on another level, the way he flows just blows my mind. You can play guitar all your life and never reach this level, He has a Gift from God.

It was common practice in Jimi's day to take the Vox Crybaby Wah Wah pedal and use a straight razor and cutting the rubber limiting stops in half to adjust the sound to increase the bass frequency range.

Jimy is one of the favor, but u man just can play thath guitar like no one alse. U feel thath jimy spirit even your improvisation little bit diferent. Like your playing and i joy play my drums with you. Must be honest its much more passionate playing my drums with you then original backing track by Hendrix. No doubt the creators of this songs are legend. But in this era with technical possibilities with good gears at your disposal. I prefer to hear good covers. some of the original songs I prefer to hear as covers 😂

Good god that’s some serious playing…and the constantly changing effects are all perfectly done…how are you doing that, with pedals or a modeling amp? Sweetness for sure.
