This is such a rarity. There are many players on RUclips, but it's extremely rare to come across someone with the full rounded technical and emotional sense of what guitar playing is actually all about. Technique, nuance, emotion and construction are abundant with James as natural gifts.

For some reason, I started bopping around the net listening to renditions of All Along The Watchtower. After around 20 versions, yours was by far the best. Very entertaining. I'm gonna go back and listen to it again. -- Dude, I just read what going on in your life. Very painful to read (although not remotely near the pain you've been living with). I believe in God and I know he answers prayer. I'm blessed to work in a Christian store and we pray every day. I will put you on our prayer list. We've seen countless prayers answered over the years. Without Hendrix's cover of this Dylan track this and many more covers wouldn't exist. However in my 73rd year I can say most excellent young man and you have put your own stamp on it rather than just copying like many can. Bravo.

@McFly no such a thing, a strat is a fender, a squire is a cheap knock off of fender. Squire is a brand and is fender.

Finally, an equal to Jimi. As one who personally seen Jimi in concert 3 times, I can assure you that you have the hutzpah of Jimi all over you. I’ve seen videos of this song all over the place and none can hold a candle to this except Jimi’s. This flippin’ rocked.

Great yet don't forget Jimi passed in 1970 over a half century ago at 27. Who knows what he would have achieved had he been around longer. No James is not equal however he is very talented.

There are so many great licks here, and most of them are fairly simple in the notes they use. But the talent is in making something simple sound great. And you do that with every note. I've been playing for years, but this stuff is making me better.
