"Birth of an Age" is an original song we wrote based on the dwarves from fantasy literature. We are continuing to develop our own Dwarven legend through multiple musical compositions. We hope you enjoy it:)
We wrote the lyrics, composed, and arranged the piece. My family sang it.
Please no bad language in the comments. We want this to be family friendly:) Thank you!
    Lyrics:
    Birth of an Age
Come you, lad, and join us a warrior,
We will march from home down below,
Courage up! And don now your armour,
It is time to meet with the foe.
Hear the sound emerge from the mountain,
Beat the drum, and march one by one,
Draw your steel and hold it before you,
    Hammerdeep, the war has begun!
CHORUS: From the dawn of time we have stood here,
Answer now the call to engage,
In the face of evil, defiant,
Let us be the birth of an age.
Blazing up inside you a fire,
Iron heart, let the beat grow,
    Element of adamant, loyal,
It is time to vanquish the foe,
    Look around, remember your brothers,
Let your shield be armour for them,
Throw your spear and let it strike thunder,
Draw your axe, and do it again!
    CHORUS
Nerve of steel, the heart of a mountain,
Stoic hand, a bundle won’t break,
    Loyal rage, inside a volcano,
Stand your ground, make the earth quake. (all sing the lower melody)
Drive we out the evil before us,
Smash the skulls against the young rock,
Die in hope: eternity crowns you,
Stay your course, continue to walk…
    CHORUS

What I love most about CDP's original songs, is that they aren't just songs. The underlying poetry could be read without singing and it would still carry its own meaning, its own story, and still be of high quality. Thank you, CDP, for your talents both in storytelling and in music that you share with us.

I once read somewhere (in a work about historic literature) that many premodern civilizations didn't think of things as binary prose-song, but instead a continuum of normal talking, trough poetry spoken at a certain cadence and tales with music under them, up to songs without and with instruments. The author mentioned that in our age, rappers form part of this inbetween: spoken language set to music spoken in the right cadence. And in a way this fits there as well, even though it is very different.

The human army await for their dwarven reinforcements at the foothills of the mountains. Murmurs start passing around the soldiers as the rhythmic beat of earthen drums and ironclad warboots reverberate through the ground like subterranean thunder. One soldier turns to the captain of the army as asks "what sound is this coming from the mountain?" The captain replies confidently "that sound is not coming from the mountain" before returning his gaze to the towering gates of the dwarven city, now slowly rumbling open..."that IS the mountain"

When clamavi de profundis calls upon their fans to arms, they answer! That answer is greeted by the entity of song and verse. And in the end all return home with their victory.

Clamavi De Profundis, thank you very much. It's and awesome song-continue your story about dwarfs, and it's present for Tolkin's fans, who love dwarfs and want something more about them.
P.S. - sorry for my english level.

Let our ennemies know we are here, as stones and caves sings along.

Below we built an empire, upon the pyre it was raised, now atop the land we wander, neither soul nor pride has been phased. New steel forged to sunder, the beasts of fire and thunder.
This was a poetic note made by another player in a homebrewed ttrpg I played a few years ago.

I used this song as the war chant of a Dwarf army charging out against a wave of enemies in my current D&Do campaign. Put a long fade in on the song, so the players first heard it like a whisper, then soon it became this thunderous cry of hundreds of Dwarves
