@@saj2392 Most of the dwarves defending Ekrund perished, it was only a small contingent of them that pushed through the greenskin lines in a suicidal attempt at escape when Ekrund fell. Thousands of fallen are feasting in the Halls of the Ancestor Gods!

I love me some Warhammer , for everyone who doesnt know, here a quote from the wiki : "Ekrund, though currently known as Mount Bloodhorn, is a fallen Dwarf hold. During -1498 IC, the Badlands were overrun by Greenskins. Ekrund fell to the Orcs after many months of intense fighting by the vastly outnumbered Dwarfs. Since then, Ekrund has remained in the hands of Greenskins. " And a little history : "The mines of Ekrund, in the Dragonback Mountains on the south-eastern shore of the Black Gulf, were the richest outside the Worlds Edge Mountains. Its ore and gemstone deposits rivaled even those of Karaz Ankor. Many of its clans were fabulously rich even by Dwarf standards, and some were influential members of the High King’s Council."

As this Video and song goes into the Gates of Ekrund. In the storyline of warhammer Online the dawi have recaptured Ekrund to mine there ore in the Bitterstone Mines. As well as lost Karak Eight peaks fully to the Greenskins. And the Gates of Ekrund are there a landmark and a scenario. ;)
The Doom of Dragonback by Gav Thorpe is a great read about the fall of Ekrund.
This is a masterpiece Track from Wind Rose. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encircled with bands of fire and stainless steel spikes.

Warhammer Fantasy.. last time i played that was shortly after the release of 6th edition i think. Mostly played during 5th. Looong ago. At some point i sold my Lizardmen army and ironically enough half a year later GW killed off Warhammer Fantasy and replaced it with the travesty of Age of Shitmar. Suppose i dodged a bullet there.

Warhammer Fantasy and AOS are stupidly underrated when compared to 40k, really happy to see a band sing about it!
i will fully admit i enjoy 40k more since science fiction is my favorite genre, but playing all 3 TW Warhammer games has helped me gain an interest and appreciation of the fantasy side of Warhammer.
Warhammer Fantasy was nice while it existed. But when GW killed it off to force people into Age of Shitmar instead, they lost a LOT of goodwill and customers.

@@RealDuendeNoFake If you manage to enjoy it, good for you. I for one have been sorely disappointed by GW - in many ways over the years. To the point where i stopped playing many years ago, just because i couldn't be bothered to chase the dragon anymore. Every time they brought out a new edition - Fantasy or 40k, doesn't matter, it always ended up the same: my army was effectively unplayable until I bought the newest stuff they put out.
And quite frankly, this is something i have grown to love about Battletech by comparison. Even ancient tech is still viable to field - you just need a lot more of it. You don't need the latest and greatest.
Very much unlike GW's products. And don't even get me started on their pricing policy or the anti-fan shenanigans they have pulled in recent years...

I was looking online a couple of months ago for any news on a new album from you guys. Really happy to see this in my feed. I was craving more dwarven metal. The Warhammer theme makes it all the more welcome 🤩
I just have to share this experience as it really shows the quality of windroses songwriting. a couple months ago our dog Lucky of 11 years Died ,and that day I was the most distraught iv ever been, with a bad head ache from the stress of it all, then for the first time that day I decided to watch a music video, this video and as I listened I could hear the emotion of the story being sung, the desperation of the dwarves, having no choice but to keep fighting despite emotional and physical pain, and since I was experiencing similar feelings at the time, I thought to myself this must be a tiny sample of what it feels like to be in a war like situation, with the sorrow and pain. if I wasnt feeling like that I wouldnt have thought of it but since I was I can see just how much care and thought they put into there songs. well done you digging dwarves keep on rocking👍

When I was younger, I imagined that if I were in some fantasy world, I’d be a tall, lithe, noble, elf.
But, as the years go by, I identify more with dwarves. Yeah, hard headed and obstinate, but steady, loyal, and still good-hearted.
