Hey, it's the first Zelda game I ever beat! (The Legend of Zelda is the first one I ever played, and Wind Waker is the first one I ever owned. Ook's theme has an interesting aspect to it that I only realized recently after not having played it in a while: When the trumpets come in, they're playing part of the Ocarina of Time Forest Temple theme. But the intstrumentation and general vibe are so different that it kind of hid in plain... sound, I guess... for years. Speaking of arguably unfair, Dark Hammer can be defeated with one hit from the Mortal Draw, so that's an option. In fact, you could even say that the midboss version of the Darknut is slightly easier, as it's meant to train you for the normal version. For one thing, for both versions, when you knock off all their armor, they throw their heavy weapon at you, but during the midboss fight, it happens during a cutscene, and Link automatically dodges. In normal fights, it's on you to dodge, so hope you remember that that's part of the fight! For another thing, the midboss Darknut is always alone, which isn't true for Darknuts in the Cave of Ordeals. There, you'll have to fight Darknuts at the same time as Aerolfos on one floor, as well as multiple Darknuts on a couple of other floors. The fact that they have heads may be a reference to M. C. Escher's "Another World", but I don't know about the rest. By contrast, the midboss version of the Aerolfos has a phase that the normal Aerolfos does not. I do like the progression of Zant's boss themes. I think it hits a sweet spot during the Snowpeak Ruins-mimicking phase... before it seems to go completely bonkers for the final phase. Meanwhile, I just Back Sliced Ganondorf a lot during the final phase of his fight.
Haven't played Twilight since it was remastered on the Wii U, but I have fond memories of Snowpeak. Snowpeak was such a well knit story, and a beautiful atmosphere. Aside from that though I remember the area up to the water temple the most. Just a rainy lake area, fishing contests, and villagers just living out in the wilderness. Maybe because I'm a massive sucker for those 2 settings in fiction, but those 2 locations were always the ones that stuck out the most for me. Also the air temple, but that's because I remember dropping the game entirely at that temple because of how much I hated it. I came back later and replayed the game to completion after playing other LoZ games, and I think Twilight Princess is still to this day overhyped.

I’m definitely a little biased because it was my first Zelda game and one of my first ever video games, so I have a lot of fond memories with this game and I love it a lot. Not just the dungeons but also the story, character development, art style, etc. But I can see your point of view as well. Also Snowpeak is top tier video game atmosphere lol
honestly, my ranking would be: 1.Snowpeak Ruins 2. Arbiter's Grounds 3. City in the Sky 4. Lakebed Temple 5. Hyrule Castle 6. Forest Temple 7. Goron Mines 8. Temple of Time 9. Palace of Twilight but your list is fair, and i enjoyed listening to your thoughts on it. Good job!

I know people complain about the OOT water temple, but dear god is this one worse. Exploring the Tenple of Time was pretty sick tho. As an OOT die hard, even as a kid, having the temple of time be a real dungeon was just neat.
@@handgun559 I felt like this water temple was easy compared to OOT’s, but I also haven’t played OOT in a few years so maybe I’m just remembering wrong. Once I finish playing Echoes of Wisdom on stream I’m gonna play Ocarina of Time so I’m really looking forward to it. Temple of Time isn’t a bad temple imo. I just think the other ones are better. However I can definitely see your point of view and agree w you that exploring it after seeing it in OOT was really sick
Awesome video, twilight is also my favorite zelda. The sky temple was definitely a let down. So many areas you can screw yourself over and have to back track

Interesting that the dungeons are an aspect you dislike, I find them to be TP's strong suit. It has both quality and quantity, and they're all aesthetically fascinating (both visually and musically)
@@nacho4288 i totally worded that wrong, i meant i was thinking about aspects i both like and dislike meaning that i was thinking about dungeons i liked as well as ones i didnt like as much. definitely should’ve worded that better haha. but yeah, the temples in Twilight Princess are definitely its strong suit. i felt so bad ranking any of them in D or F tier even though i dont like City In The Sky or Palace of Twilight lol
I last played Twilight Princess over 10 years ago and the only dungeon that I still remember vividly is City in the Sky for the damn nipple chickens. Still gives me the heebies when I think of it.
