  • How do you automate your investing strategy at Charles Schwab? How do you automatically purchase shares on a weekly or monthly basis? If you want to take advantage of dollar-cost averaging, you should set up automatic investing. Whether you're investing in mutual funds, index funds, ETFs, stocks, or bonds, it's possible to automatically invest within your portfolio. If you are investing in an eligible mutual fund, you can automate the entire process (from transferring money from your checking account to investing that money into the mutual fund). If you're not investing in an eligible mutual fund, or if you're investing in a stock or ETF, you unfortunately cannot automate the entire process. However, you can automatically transfer money from your checking account on a monthly basis, then manually purchase your investments each month. In this video, I go over how to set up automatic investing at Charles Schwab.
