I'M IN A FAIRYTALE IN CHINA | Exploring Zhangjiajie's Avatar Mountains

  • Zhangjiajie is arguably one of the most beautiful nature areas in all of China and since this was my first time in the country, I knew this was one of the places I had to visit! Known as the Hallelujah Mountains since the area gained even more popularity after the Avatar movie series took inspiration from this area. Understandably this area can get VERY BUSY during peak tourist seasons, so make sure you book your tickets ahead of time and know the basics of what to expect. I hope my video will be helpful in planning your trip!

      No one from Taiwan would say he or she's from Province of China.
      If you are from Taiwan and you think Taiwan is a province of China, then you should use your legislative right to correct that and make Taiwan a province of China.
      Talk is cheap, anyone can say anything.
      Currently China has no control of Taiwan, and Taiwan government has removed the provincial government from their system. So there is no physical province in either China or Taiwan government.

    My suggestion is that after you visit Zhangjiajie, the neighbor in Zhangjiajie is Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, another 5A scenic spot, with the famous ancient town Furong Town. You can also enjoy the traditional cultural architecture and customs of the Tujia and Miao ethnic groups. The journey from Zhangjiajie to Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is about 2 hours by car. It's also a cheap way to see more of China's most famous sights, from Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture to Chongqing Municipality (above on map) or Guilin in Guangxi Province (below on map). It can be reached directly by car or high-speed train

From the video, I guess Yours was supposed the B route. You have to plan and know your route very well or you will certainly get lost. I'm from Hong Kong and was there 5 days ago at your exact locations. Love it and I know how busy you were at the same time shooting videos and finding the right roads. It was challenge for us Zhangjiajie's mountains for us. Alina, you saw more than we did. It truly has look of Avatar. You are so right , you need at least 4 days to see it all. We had just 2 days.
    We were there in October 2018. The video brought Avatar back to life . Great Memories . Also, give yourself plenty of time between the Park and Tianmen Mountain.
    Also, great videos without doubt. Sending you much love❤ from Harriet, Jim and Yuki

      泰山重的是名,是文化,中国人登泰山有文化的铺垫,所以情景自是不同,但是外国人就算吧,泰山不高,也不雄伟,景色也是普通,在外国人眼里没有共鸣。还不如去黄山。

    • @user-lg1zz4yd3k
      @user-lg1zz4yd3k Месяц назад +2

      NO,中国名山之首是泰山,中国3000年以来,帝王几千公里都要去的泰山,2000年以前,皇帝从西安步行到山东省泰山,接受上天的册封。称为封禅。这样的传统经历3000年不变,持续进行。直到清朝灭亡。而且自认为有功绩的皇帝才会去泰山。自认为治理国家不太好的皇帝不会去,中国最值得去看的山: 张家界,华山,黄山,五大名山:泰山,华山,恒山,嵩山,衡山。中国人最喜欢游山玩水。

      五岳没有先后顺序,景色各有特点,泰山更重中华传统儒家文化,可能外国人兴趣不大。如果推荐外国人的话,我觉得嵩山和华山。嵩山有中国功夫文化,华山非常险峻,更能吸引外国人。当然五岳归来不看山,黄山归来不看岳,黄山是高于五岳的,也可以考虑去黄山。

    I've just returned from China and I've noticed that the public transportation system and tourist attractions there are very well-developed. However, what's lacking greatly is the availability of information for trip planning and communication during travels, especially in English. This has made my trip quite exhausting and led to several mistakes. China has many beautiful places, and I'd love to visit again. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help improve the tourism information system to better accommodate international travelers.

    • @AlinaMcleod
      @AlinaMcleod  Месяц назад +7

      This is exactly my impression as well after a month of travelling around. It’s an incredible country that feels like it is so self sufficient, it really doesn’t ‘need’ international tourism. So as an outsider it kind of feels like you either adapt to their system or it’s going to be hard going lol. Hopefully in time there will be more changes to make things international tourist friendly.

    The soup you had has different names in various places in China. In Canada or North America, I think it is called Wonton, which is translated from Cantonese. In some parts of north China, it is called Hundun; in the places around Sichuan Province, I remember it is called Chaoshou; in places further south in China, it is called Yuntun. I believe it has many different names in different places in China. Since Zhangjiajie is located in Hunan Province, it might be called Chaoshou or Yuntun, or perhaps has a different unique local name. That food is very popular around China and has various flavours and fillings.
    A heads-up, many food in China is burning hot. So watch out a little bit. Your spitting of the wonton made me burst into laughter. Sorry for that😁
