Do the various sleeve adapters have different insertion depths into their sleeves? for instance does more of shaft insert into a Taylormade sleeve adapter vs. a Ping sleeve. I am mainly asking because if you sand the tip of a shaft for a specific sleeve will part of the sanded tip show with another adapter?
Hi Jim, Hope all is well with you. I really enjoy your videos' I have a Ben Hogan GS 53 adjustable driver i bought from Ebay. it showed up with the head broke off the screw still in the shaft. the screw goes right through the head. Is this reparable? Thank you in advance. Jeff
Any issues removing a Callaway adapter? My clubfitter isn't keen on pulling Callaway adapters as he says they are problematic so just wondering if there is a special trick for that make?
Awesome content. My Question: is the wishon 919 a better fitting club that can be bent then your typical adjustable driver? Also can I reuse a driver shaft in a new clubhead that doesn't need an adapter? All the Best. Great Job.
Is the adaptor on the Ping Alta CB 55 shaft that had a G400 head in it, the same as the adaptor for a G30 head? Either the ferrule or the adaptor sleeve has moved as mine has space between them? I am having a hard time getting it on/off and adjusting it now. Replace or repair?
Great video! Just to clarify, could you explain why we need 2 clicks (club seated?) instead of just 1 click (manufacturer torque limit) when tightening the screw with the torque wrench? I liked and subscribed to your channel. Thank you!
omega con4 it’s just an old mechanical thing I was taught. As they are break away wrench they sometimes can break away a bit earlier. The second click ensures it’s at the right torque
With the part for adapter pulling from golf works, is that something that can be used without a shaft puller. I.e. one person hold shaft and the other hold the attachment and pull off the adapter? Thanks for the help
the puller uses a 2 ton jack, there are screw types that works well that might a be choice than tug of war with a buddy. I say that because you want to prevent twisting as much as possible. When pulling (2 man method) it is too easy to hurt/ twist the shaft
Hey Jim. I hit an Aldila Synergy 60 shaft on my 3 and 5 Rogue woods very well. I do struggle some hitting my Ping GMax driver with the std Alta 55 shaft. Are these shafts very different and should maybe consider changing the driver shaft to be similar to the ones on my woods? Apprecite your feedback.
Is it ok to pull the adapter off and then put a different adapter (different brand) on the shaft? is there a limit to how many times you would do it? Many thanks
Always good information. But what about changing to weight on a TaylorMade M4 driver. I cut it down to 45” and now need to add a heavier weight. I’ve read it is glued in. Do you think I can heat up the tip of a T20 security screwdriver and set it in the screw to break the bond. I would think enough heat would transfer if I do it a couple of times. Thanks Ray
Just came across your videos and they're awesome! Well done! Have you done a video on reusing a graphite shaft. Obviously when you pull one there is a lot of glue on the end but how would you then put that shaft in another head? Cheers from the UK!
Great video. I really wish it was possible to take the adapters from drivers that allow a larger range of loft change and put them onto a a different driver head by adjusting the hosel or something. My Ping g400 max only has 1 degree in each direction, so it is frustrating when you see drivers out there that can change like 4 degrees!
And I've been calling them Kuro Kage (cage like animals cage, or Nicholas Cage) I'M SO IGNANT. Are these removed adapters re-usable? And what's the boring bit on the end of your Dewalt to clean out the bore? Anyone can answer since this post is 2 yrs old. TKS
Got in a bind bc I was forgetting the adapter removal process this afternoon. Came right to your channel! Thanks for the content as always!
Big fan. Great video as usual! Appreciate you supporting Folds of Honor.
Just what I wanted to know. Thanks
Great channel! Subscribed!
U should be 500k+ subs!
I think you answered my query at the end; does the rubber washer sit against the screw or against the shaft? Thanks
In most cases and it helps keep the screw in the head
What is the best way to install the rubber washer to the adapter screw inside the shaft hosel 10:54

What drill bit are you using to clean out the head when you remove the shaft? I can't tell if it's a carbide or a brush
Bore cleaning brush.
Would you just glue the shaft in like a standard club?

any tips if the screw is stripped and the wrench cannot grip the screw? Many thanks
which puller is this? Looking to upgrade my clamp extractor.
its called a python puller, no linger made. I would recommend the reverse thrust puller from golf mechanix
@@McGolf Thank you sir!
Serious question, would a left handed Taylormade shaft adapter in a right handed Taylormade head just be the lofts and lies in reverse.?
Would using my heat gun work. Or would I need to buy propane torch
Love your vids. What puller is that? Had my jb pneumatic for almost 20 years and looking for a replacement. Thx
What do you recommend I do to get my driver to adjust? It's not wanting to turn. The booklet says to tap the grip, but that didn't help.
Hello,
Just found your videos.
Do you make shaft recommendations?
Where do you buy genuine Taylormade tips? They have aftermarket knock offs on eBay, but not genuine Taylormade.
Oh man I cant find the adapter puller tool any chance I can get a link?

Lost the washer for the ping g425. Now I can't get the head to release. What can I do now? PLEASE HELP!
Ive noticed the ping adapter has score lines when purchase brand new. Is it necessary to prep the adapter or is that the purpose of the score lines?
Can you please do a video on how to save an older TaylorMade tip without melting the plastic ferrule piece?
Good Video, but why didn’t you use the GolfWorks adapter on the Mizuno pull since you went to the trouble of attaching it?
I was showing the different ways to remove the adapter, since the mizzy adapter didn't need a ferrule I used it.

I believe they are same, getting off has been a problem for other PING owners, I think a repair to check to see if its the adapter or the ferrule.

How do you remove the metal fitting from a metal 7 iron shaft?
Is it possible to simply ,move a shaft from say a Wilson Driver to a Titlest driver without changing the adapters.?
the short answer it no, All the adapters are specific to the OEM.
What’s next on Mizuno? Just epoxy on the shaft and insert?
They do have adapter sleeves for the drivers
@@McGolf Thanks I ordered the shaft and the adapter for my Mizuno 5 wood is there something else I need? Appreciate U & your vids!
What do you have on the end of the drill to clean out the adapter?
hosel cleaning brush, that can be found in my store www.amazon,com/shop/mcgolfcustomclubs under the tool section or at golfworks

@@felixnegron5715 did you get an answer to your questions?
Is it ok to pull the adapter off and then put a different adapter (different brand) on the shaft? is there a limit to how many times you would do it? Many thanks
Andrew Smith in short, no,
McGolf Custom Clubs ok so when you say in short no, does that mean that there is an instance in which it would work? Thanks
Where do you find one of those break away torque wrenches and are the star bolts a universal size? Thanks.
David Fauls normally from the makers. But for after market , that’s a great questions
what brand is your puller?
iamlukepaige it not made any longer try golf mechanix. They have some good choices
Where can I find the drill bit brush like yours?
golfworks has them in .370 and .335. I use them up regularly,

Ray Farrell if it has a torque it should just need the wrench I’ve not heard of weights glued in that style
did you FLO the club/shaft / adapter?
vic meyers yes
I need the adapter off my stock shaft to be able to replace it with a new one?
yes
You can buy the adapter separately

saw a video on putting the shaft adapter in boiling water for 5 minutes- I wonder if that would work as far as to allow you to re use the adapter?
for a callaway xr 16 driver
For calmly I would worry about the plastic piece at the end of the adapter. If it stays in place and didn’t distort I would guess yes
@@McGolf For calmly? that must be some Yankee lingo :)

It is handy but there is always give and take for most of the adjustables. The face will move equally in one direction too.
I saw an ad for a universal kit. Works with most if not all brands. I’ll post a link if I see it again.
BTW your shaft extractors are all unavailable on Amazon FYI
I recognize both of those driver heads...
Would of been interesting if you knew when these adjustable drivers came out not just some years ago ;)
What is the powder or granulated substance you add to the epoxy mix?
quick center from golfworks. Basically grit of a small size

How do you remove and replace the bolt on a ping?
